They have lived in alexandria more than 40 years. They knew two of the three victims that police say was killed by charles severance. Im glad the police have finally been able to at least get this to where the courts will look at it. Innocent until proven guilty. This is been a huge tragedy. Police chief city said they believe they have their man. We believe nobody else is involved in these cases. Severance faces 10 charges, including one firstdegree and two capital murder charges. Ruthanne lodato and ron kirby were killed in the last year. Nancy dunning was killed in 2003. Nothing can bring her back, but we hope this is the beginning of the process that will offer our family and the other families a small amount of closure. The police did not say much about evidence beyond what we are ready no. Eight previously said they had previously said they believe the same gun was used in all three murders. If there is one gun, they say they have not found it and this is far from over. Everybody hopes to get closure. Tonight, severance is in jail, but not in alexandria. He is still in loudoun county, held on a gun charge on related to these murders. In alexandria, the commonwealths attorney announced he will not seek the Death Penalty in these murders.
