Now, where it goes from here, some of our longrange computer models bend it back toward the u. S. East coast. Some bend it over toward bermuda and eventually out into the atlantic. Now, if it were to impact our meantime, already got some wet weather out there. Flood advisory just issued for the Greater Boston area until 8 30. The drowning, the city placed the Day Camps Program director on leave and put new protocols in place for camp councilors. Thats pretty typical for aer very powerful hurricane. The eyes collapse in on themselves and reform, but usually when that happen, it weakens. That being said, its still a 155mph hurricane, meaning its a strong category four, almost still a category five. Center calls for it to go over jamaica and the eastern half of cuba as we head into monday and tuesday and over the bahamas as we head into wednesday and thursday. Track hasnt changed a whole lot. But it has slowed down. At one point we were expecting it to be here tuesday and wednesday. Now its more like wednesday or thursday. So almost a 24hour difference in the timing. But still same general path. For us, do have a flood advisory up for the Greater Boston area. That goes until 8 30. Weve already seen about half inch to an inch of rain during the overnight hours in many now starting to see yellows and oranges and reds show up on the radar, meaning you have moderate to the heavy rain moving through in batches. One right over the top of hull at the moment. Another passing just over the top of stoughton and holliston. These all moving toward the northnortheast at about 20mph. So eventually heading up into the north shore. So again, thats why the Greater Boston area is under a flood advisory. Flood advisory means there could be ponding on the roadways. Investigators say kyle tasker sold and smoked marijuana with five other lawmakers. Its all detailed in a new report by the attorney general. 7s Kimberly Bookman has more now from New Hampshire. Kimberly a revealing report from New Hampshires Attorney Generals Office claims New Hampshire state representative kyle tasker smoked marijuana inside the statehouse and sold it to five other lawmakers. The paperwork names names of lawmak w immunity for cooperating. Investigators say representative Joseph Lachance of manchester bought drugs from tasker. Hes quoted calling tasker, the club med of weed. Representative amanda bouldin, also from manchester, admitted she smoked pot with tasker. Representative Pamela Tucker of greenland told investigators she bought weed from him, as well. Her official position as a lawmaker was to oppose the use of marijuana. Representative ted wright of sanbornville told investigators tasker was to help his wife deal with debilitating cancer. A fifth legislator involved had died. Investigators say they used taskers ipad and facebook account to track down the lawmakers involved in his alleged drug deal. The states investigation into tasker was launched after he was arrested in march for soliciting sex from a 14yearold girl online and possessing drugs to sell. After a week stranded at sea, Nathan Carman was rescued earlier this week, but his mother linda is still mitzing. Police searched her home in connecticut thursday night. Court records reveal that both nathan and his mother were suspects in the murder of her father back in 2013. No charges were ever filed against either one. Lindas attorney saying that she has always defended her son. His grandfather, and she could list the reasons. Byron this surveillance photo inside the mbtas money room shows a t employee sprawled out face down on the floor behind a wall. You can see cash scattered on a nearby table. The picture was taken in february. It also appears to show another t worker off to the right. The mbta released the photo as it pushes for privatizing its fare collection system. Currently those duties are handled we the boston Carmans Union, a year in that money room. The mbta called the photo troubling and released a statement saying, there is no logical reason for a Transit System to be in the cash handling business. Governor baker agrees. The t should focus on the things it does well, and situations like the money room, there are other people much better at it than the t room, we should talk to them about providing us with that service. Comment on the picture because the employee lying down is definitely not a member. The union speculates the two individuals in the photo may be t managers or supervisors. The Carmens Union is fighting the states effort to outsource the work to count fares. Just yesterday it released a statement saying, its nothing more than a distraction from the fact they have failed the make the necessary investments to provide more Reliable Service to riders and overhaul management. A category four during the morning hours. The eye looking a bit more ragged now than it was several hours ago. Thats typical. When you get a very powerful hurricane, it goes through these cycles where the the eye wall collapses and then reforms. A hurricane some very powerful cat four. 156 would be a category five. The official forecast calls for it to pass over or near jamaica and then eastern cuba monday into tuesday. And then over the bahamas wednesday and thursday. Now, the track has not changed a whole lot. But it has slowed down quite a bit. At one point we were expecting it to be here in the bahamas on tuesday and wednesday. Now almost 24 hours slower than that. Some computer models bend this back toward us. Some bend it out toward the atlantic. United states, it wouldnt be until next weekend. So well talk more about that in a few minutes. Meantime, already have some issues with rain this morning. Minor street flooding possible in the areas shaded green. Flood advisory for the Greater Boston area until 8 30. Thats because weve already seen about half an inch of rain since midnight, and we have some pockets of slightly heavier rain starting to move through. Somebody nearby that burning home captured firefighters trying to put out those flames on the second story. Firefighters eventually got it under control. No injuries have been reported. Her sob was rescued this week, but investigators have been gathering evidence from her home in connecticut. And Court Documents reveal, just like her son, carman was once a suspected in the murder of her father. 7s Jonathan Hall has more from connecticut. Jonathan armed with a search warrant and red evidence tape, police went through linda carmans home wednesday night. Shes believed dead after an illfated fishing trip with her 22yearold son nathan. Guard he lost sight of his mom after his boat began to sink and he made his way into a life raft with food and water. A chinese ship rescued him after a week. Holy cow was my reaction. Jonathan linda carmans former lawyer says she loved her son nathan and spoke often about his struggles with aspergers, a mild form of autism. He was named a suspect in his grandfathers murder, but no charges were ever file against him. She was convinced he had nothing to do with the death of his grandfather, and she could list the reasons. Jonathan the attorney reveals nathan wasnt the only suspect in the shooting death of 87yearold john chakalos. He says police questioned linda three times. In 2011, she hadsell a violent altercation with her father on the seventh floor of this hartford hospital. A Police Report obtained by 7news indicates chakalos threatened to stop supporting his daughter because nathans offer. Police quote linda as saying her dad was worth 300 million and she wanted her share. It says she lost it when chakalos tried to leave a waiting room. Nicole a devastated family making a public plea looking for answers. 7yearold kyzr willis drowned at a south boston beach last july camp. Now his family is demanding to know exactly what happened. Nicole days after the drowning the city placed the Day Camps Program director on leave and put new protocols in place for camp councilors. Tried to kill his threeyearold nephew. Taj mcdonald confessed to strangling the child, trying to drown him in the bathtub and then pushed him down the stairs. This all happened while he was babysitting the child. Now mcdonald is facing several charges, including attempted murder. And new jersey investigators still trying to find answers following a deadly commuter crash. John investigators are searching for answers into why new Jersey Transit train 1614 never slowed down before crashing into the Hoboken Terminal at 8 45 thursday morning. Believes some clues could be found in the trains two event recorders, one of recover the second one. Right now its a very unsafe situation. There is a canopy resting on top of the train. The strongest in years. Welldefinedeye. At that point it was a category 5. Now its harder to find. Hurricane Hunter Aircraft is actually many matthew right now, sending us back information. They found still a 155mph hurricane. So thats downgraded from the cat 5 that it was yesterday. It was 160 at its peak. Thats typical when the eye starts the collapse in on itself and then reform. Hurricane goss through that type of cycle. But during that cycle, it usually weakens. So its on the weakening trend at the moment. But again, weakening trend still makes it four hurricane. Its expected to turn more toward the north and then pass over jamaica and cuba as a category three hurricane and then the bahamas as a category two hurricane, probably some time on wednesday or thursday. Track hasnt changed a whole lot, but it has slowed down quite a bit. At one pilot we were expecting it to be over the bahamas. So it slowed down by almost 24 hours. Where it goes from there, anyones guess. But if it were to impact the northeastern united states, it wouldnt be until this time next weekend. Mainly everyone inside of 495. Kimberly a revealing report from New Hampshires Attorney Generals Office claims New Hampshire state representative kyle tasker smoked marijuana inside the statehouse and sold it to five other lawmakers. The paperwork names names of lawmakers who got a form of immunity for cooperating. Investigators say representative Joseph Lachance of manchester bought drugs from tasker. Hes quoted calling tasker, the club med of weed. Representative amanda bouldin, representative Pamela Tucker of greenland told investigators she bought weed from him, as well. Her official position as a lawmaker was to oppose the use of marijuana. Representative ted wright of sanbornville told investigators the marijuana he bought from tasker was to help his wife deal with debilitating cancer. A fifth legislator involved had died. Investigators say they used taskers ipad and facebook account to track down the lawmakers involved in his alleged drug deal. After a week stranded at sea, Nathan Carman was rescued earlier this week, but his police searched her home in connecticut thursday night. Court records reveal that both nathan and his mother were suspects in the murder of her father back in 2013. No charges were ever filed against either one. Lindas attorney saying that she has always defended her son. She was convinced that he had nothing to do with the death of his grandfather, and she could list the reasons. Nicole police are looking into evidence found at linda carmans connecticut home, trying to uncover answers to her disappearance and the death of her father. New developments in the 7news learning the essex County District Attorneys Office is now involved. Chief Leonard Campanello is currently on administrative leave, but no one has said why. A spokesperson for the d. A. Says the city has requested materials connected to the case be reviewed by county prosecutors. An audit of the department is under way. The picture appears to show a worker face down on a yoga mat, and theres a lot of cash right there sitting nearby. Mbta leaders now saying this photo is an example of why change is needed. 7s Byron Barnett has the story. Byron this surveillance photo inside the mbtas money room shows a t employee sprawled out face down on the floor behind a wall. You can see cash scattered on a nearby table. The picture was taken in february. T worker off to the right. The mbta released the photo as it pushes for privatizing its fare collection system. Currently those duties are handled by the boston Carmans Union, which counts 142 million a year in that money room. The mbta called the photo troubling and released a statement saying, there is no logical reason for a Transit System to be in the cash governor baker agrees. The t should focus on the things it does well, and situations like the money room, where there are other people much better at it than the t, we should talk to them about providing us with that service. Byron the carman wouldnt comment on the picture because the employee lying down is definitely not a member. The union speculates the two individuals in the photo may be t managers or supervisors. The Carmens Union is fighting the states effort to outsource the work to count fares. Just yesterday it released a more than a distraction from the fact they have failed the make the necessary investments to provide more Reliable Service to riders and overhaul management. The boston Carmans Union says it may go to court if t doesnt come to the negotiating table on this, but the t is pushing forward, saying it expects to from a proposed contract for the cashhandling operations next month.
