Reporter all the patients had chemicals on their bodies or clothes and before they entered the hospital it had to be cleaned off. Four people in the same part of the dow Chemical Plants that exploded were critically hurt and heading here. What the patients had was blast injuries from the pressure of the explosion and the chemical on their body. And burns as well. Reporter but before those patients could enter the emergency room doors they had to go thank you decontamination in the hospitals parking lot. They were washed with water for an extensive period of time to remove contaminants. Reporter some 60 doctors and nurses cared for the patients and within an hour three were stable and airlifted to boston for more trauma care.
