Tomorrow morning taking a downhill turn. Right now temperatures in the lower 20s to lower 30s. We do have some black ice to watch out for on your sunday as youre headed out this afternoon, though, lower 40s, mostly sunny skies. More on what we can get straight ahead. Heather developing this morning, two Home Invasion suspects in the hospital. One of them shot by a police officer. It happened last night on pine street in lowell. Theres still a lot of questions that need to be answered this morning. Fox 25 Stephanie Coueignoux live in low 8 and stephanie, this sort of thing doesnt usually happen in reporter and because it doesnt happen, daniel, as you can imagine, it has neighbors shaken up. Were outside of the Police Department, that Home Invasion happened just a mile and a half away from the Police Department. And what theyre telling us is when officers arrived at that home, they found a man in the doorway carrying a very large gun. Take a look. This is video after our crews arrived on scene. And you can see very heavy Police Presence right there. This is on pine hill street. This happened around 8 30 last night. Now, Lowell Police told us, when an officer saw that man with the gun. The officer then fired several shots, hitting that suspect twice. That suspect was then taken to the hospital. Police found a second suspect involved in this just a few blocks in away. He was also hurt and taken to the hospital. And police tell us there were two people also inside that home who were hurt. They certainty seriously hurt. But those two people taken to the hospital as well. Said he was on his couch in his living room watching tv when all of a sudden he heard four gunshots. It was pretty dramatic. I didnt expect to hear none of that here at all. I was shocked. I heard the first gunshot. Then i heard the other three. Reporter and, again, still a lot of questions here this morning. The police havent identified the suspects in this Home Invasion, also they havent said whether this is a random Home Invasion or whether it could have been targeted. Coming up 30 minutes, how police and neighbors say that second suspect tried to escape and avoid getting caught. In lowell, im Stephanie Coueignoux. Fox 25 news. Heather all right. Stephanie. A High School Student has been arrested for a car vandalism spree that spread several times. A 15yearold from auburn has been charged with destruction of property. Last month, the windows of dozens of cars were shot out with a bb gun in auburn. Police also believe the teen may incidents in westford, worcester, and oxford. And still working to get more information about a body that was found at a construction site in bon of. Fox 25 was there yesterday afternoon, as police investigated the scene on beacon street. And right now, police arent saying who the victim was or how that person might have died. A fallen tree branch has killed a father of three. Kaleigh kenyon died when a tree branch broke off and hit her when she was playing with the snow in the afternoon. Hours later, a tree limb broke off in a different neighborhood, working to clear off his hockey rink. The tragedy top of mind for everyone in that town. It was beautiful, but its absolutely dangerous and people need to be aware and take care. And town officials went around all day saturday clearing limbs and trees that didnt look safe. In some cases they closed roads heather most people in hollis ton waking up this morning and breathing a sigh of relief now that the power had been turned back on there. It had been almost two days after the snow heavy snow took down trees, power lines there. The damage was expensive and clearing it up was timeconsuming. Look at ashland street, that huge tree that was uprooted. It fell in slow motion and then there was a bunch of explosion and fires. My was on fire all the way across the front. The wires. Since the store began, eversource has restored power to 95,000 customers. The United States and south korea getting ready to deploy Missile Defense systems in south korea. This comes after north korea fired a long range rocket a test of banned missile technology. The country claims it was attempting to launch a satellite into orbit. Officialser sued that with each nuclear test and Missile Launch. North korea is working closer a missile capable of reaching the United States. Reporter look at this reservoir, this is where worcester residents get some of their water. But its not even close to the capacity it should be this time of year. I should be standing in water and you can see the bare ground. Officials are so concerned that if they dont get enough rain fall there may not be enough water in time for summer. The lack of snow this year, are big factors to moderate drought the city is experiencing right now. This is what lynn brook reservoir looks like when it is full capacity. Quite a difference. Unless worcester receives a normal amount of rain from now until june, they might have tight restrictions on water usage. And at least purchase water. Alert effective immediately. Late last night, it was just plymouth and the cape and islands now essex, middlesex and portions of Worcester County. Lets look at snow totals, 4 to 7 inches likely anywhere from worcester over to boston, all the way up to the north shore, down to the south here, plymouth around barnstable counties these are the areas with ocean enhancement. 7 to 8 inches of snow. The farther west, much lower to 2 inches. Our far western areas. Lets talk winds as well. Not too strong today. 11 00 tonight, begin to see northeast winds beginning to pick up 10, 20 Miles Per Hours, out of the northeast, piling the water up against the shore line. And the entire situation playing out on this dash cam footage. Daniel still ahead the bizarre incident that started it all. And the reason the suspect is now being evaluated at a local hospital. Its going to pass off shore, but were going to be on the cold side. A lot of wind out of the storm. A lot of circulation. So snow is likely. Monday morning, by 9 in the morning snow from boston to norwood down to plymouth and barnstable over toward nantucket, all of us getting in on the snow and builds its way westward through the midday hours tomorrow. And even afternoon drive tomorrow not looking great. Snow may taper a little bit but still going to be kind of messy. Right now, were in good shape, temperatures in the 20s and lower 30s. Otherwise a mild sunday in store. Mostly sunny skies. Heather two Home Invasions in the hospital this morning one of them shot by police as that man was opening the door with an armed gun. Police are investigating the shooting and the initial crime that took place. Daniel it all started and still developing this morning. Stephanie coueignoux is live in lowell. Stephanie, still a lot of Unanswered Questions about just what happened. Morning, police havent released the names of those suspects. We also dont know whether this was a targeted crime or a random crime. Now, im outside the Police Department. And we are hoping to learn that information later on this morning. Take a look. This is a video of just happening after it happened. This is Police Presence there. According to police, they when they arrived at that home. That is when they found that man in the doorway holding a gun. An officer then fired his gun, hitting the suspect twice. While all of this was going on, police say a second suspect ran out the back of that home. And a neighbor that we spoke with, he told us that it sounded like he was running through the river behind that neighborhood. Police were able to eventually catch up to him several blocks away. Both suspects were taken to the hospital with injuries. Keep in mind, this happened at 8 15 in the evening. One neighbor told us he was relaxing on the couch at home when he heard all of those gun shots. I was shocked. Because this is a quiet area right here. I heard the gunshots, most people say it was firecrackers but i knew a gunshot when i hear one and i jumped up and put my shoes on. Reporter imagine that. Youre just on your couch and you hear all you have that. There were two people inside the were assaulted, not seriously. But they were taken to the hospital. Were told theyre expected to be okay. But, again, still a lot of questions unanswered. Were hoping to speak with police later on this morning. And as soon as we get an update, well let you know. In lowell, im Stephanie Coueignoux, fox 25 news. Heather to other news, a iran war vet being evaluated at a local hospital as he faces charges for car jacking 72yearold woman. It all started yesterday morning. Michael sullivan is accused of getting into that victims truck and telling her he had to go up the road. Police share this dash cam with fox 25 and you can see the short pursuit as police and the victims husband followed the truck in a carlisle. When sullivan was stopped, police tell us he was confused an didnt know where he was. Police say sullivan suffered Mental Health issues and addiction and left a v. A. Hospital without permission. Expected to be arraigned tomorrow. Learn more about a multifamily home innen on park street. The woman living on the second floor is found dead inside at this point, with he dont know what killed her. Smoke alarm alerted the downstairs neighbors in time for them to escape. My brother got them out. The smoke alarm went off in the hallways upstairs. He got them out. He couldnt get upstairs, though. Daniel at this point, the victims names have not been released. Well have an update on the story as soon as we get new information. Jason good morning. Yesterday we were talking about our threat for snow on the up and up. And that looks like its coming into play here. Because the storm has formed off of the florida coast and were able to see it and track it. Any changes to the path will affect how much snow we get and where. Its clear no sign of any approaching weather, just crisp and cool in a few icy spots. The metrowest spots running in the 20s, a couple of teens, 25 worcester, 21 fitchburg. 20th degrees in plymouth. Also a little fog here. Watch out for the packed tapped moisture settling in here, fog issues out there in spots. Look at our boston day planner, though, the ice is around but melting quickly. 9 above freezing by noon, 40 degrees and recovering into the low 40s this afternoon and mid 40s in many locations with a good deal of sunshine. There will be some high clouds late in the day. But not too much wind yet. Notice how theyre swinging around to the north east later in the day. Thats out ahead of the big ocean storm off of the florida coast. Its going to make a path about 380 miles from boston. Normally thats a little far away. Circulation is. And you can see that with those lines of equal pressure there. And it shows you when the snow is arriving as well. Theres that path. Well off to our north and east. Its such a large system that we have snow moving in during the morning. Time. Blast of snow overnight monday night because here comes round two. Another low Pressure Center just off of to the south of us here and another one back to the west that may impact us on thursday. So weve got this patterned of unsettled snowy conditions. It looks like the main event monday into early thursday but still scattered snow showers i think through thursday. So lets check out the winter storm watch, it has been expanded all the way up to north shore, back into Worcester County and all the way down to the southeast coast. Bon of all the way up to lowell, to gloucester down towards providence. 7 to 8 inches possible plymouth to barnstable county. And lower amounts farther west you go. If it tracks farther to the west, all of these totals bumped up and backed up more to west. Were going to watch that track carefully as it moves in tomorrow. Winds 10, to 20. Late tonight not too bad. During the morning drive tomorrow and lasting through monday afternoon, were going to see wind gusts 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour. The cape and islands. Thats another reason why we have a coastal flood watch up. Were going to see splash over, water up onto the roads in those normally flood prone spots thanks to steady northeast winds ocean effect snow. Watch how quickly it changed over to snow. By 9 in the morning be bon of to worcester, points southward likely to be in the snow. Makes its way all the way to southern New Hampshire by noon tomorrow. And then the afternoon drive, with he begin to see a little tapering from the west to the east, but not before hefty snow totals. I have those coming up. Watch for icy spots on the road this sunday morning. Heather developing this morning, two Home Invasion suspects in the hospital this morning. One of them shot by a police officer. Daniel it happened last night on pine street in lowell. But there are a lot of questions Stephanie Coueignoux joins us live in lowell. And stephanie, this sort of thing doesnt usuallily happen in that area. Reporter it doesnt. And as you can imagine, it has the neighbors really shaken up. Especially because it happened just after 8 00 at night. Were here at the Lowell Police department. That Home Invasion took place just about a mile and a half away. And police say when they arrived, one of their officers was confronted by a suspect holding a gun. Take a look. This is video from just after our crew arrived on scene and, again, this is pine hill street. This all started at around 8 15. Thats when police arrived. And you can see just very heavy Police Presence right there. Lowell Police Telling us, after the suspect confronted the officer with that gun, the officer then fired his gun, hitting the suspect twice. Police also found a second suspect just a few blocks away. He was also hurt and taken to the hospital. And there were also two people inside the home. Home invasion. Police tell us, thankfully they are expected to recover. We did speak with one neighbor who said he was on his couch, relaxing, watching tv. When all of a sudden, he heard four gunshots. It was pretty dramatic. I didnt expect examine to hear none of that here at all. I was just shocked. I heard the first gunshot. Then i heard the other three. Reporter and, again, still a lot of questions remain. I just checked in with police. They havent released the names of the suspects. And right now, we still do not know whether this was a targeted Home Invasion. Or whether this was a random crime. Of course, as soon as i get an update this morning, ill let you know. Coming up in 30 minutes, how police and neighbors say that second suspect tried to escape and avoid getting caught. A High School Student has been arrested for a car vandalism spree that spanned several gazette reports this morning that a 15yearold has been charged with destruction of property. Last month, as we reported, windows of dozens of cars were shot out with a bb gun in auburn. And police also believe that teen may have been responsible for similar incidents in worcester, webster and oxford. Also this morning, still working to get more information about a body that was found at a construction site in boston. A fox 25 camera was there yesterday afternoon as police investigated the scene on beacon street. Right now police arent saying who the victim was or how that burn died. Daniel a fallen tree branch claimed the life for a father of three in a Community Already mourning the loss of a little girl. Kaleigh kenyon died when a tree fell off and hit her while playing in the snow yesterday afternoon. Hours later another huge limb broke off in a different canton neighborhood hitting a man that was working to clear off his backyard hockey rink. A tragedy on top of the mind of beautiful. And people need to be aware and take care. Daniel canton town officials went around clearing limbs and trees that didnt look safe. In some cases even closed roads until crews arrived. But some are abusing your tax dollars. Fox 25 crystal haynes discovered one case involving a business Nancy Kerrigan getting assistance while he lived in a 900,000 house. Reporter this Newton Center home has been valued at nearly 1 million and its owner mark leaderman owns or was a partner in five businesses. So why was he receiving fad or food stamp businesses for more than a year. The answer . Investigators say he was scamming the state. A woman at leadermans home would not answer my questions, but state auditor susan bump did. A recent review of the massachusetts welfare system by her office uncovered almost 14 million in medicare and snap benefit fraud. Leadermans case mentioned in there is a good deal of fraud thats occurring in the programs that folks are relying on as part of our social safety net. Reporter investigators found leaderman had received more than 14,000 in benefits from 2008 to 2009 after reporting an income of just 400 a week. According to the sworn affidavit i obtained, leaderman had income from several companies he owns or is a partner of at that time. In 2008, he reported an income of more than 85,000. And almost 70,000 in 2009. Leaderman was arraigned in Chelsea District Court back in february of last year. And fox 25 has learned he has since paid 10,000 in restitution to the state. I went to leadermans primary business, leaderman engineering to get more answers. A woman who identified herself as an employee there told me this. I cant comment. Just a matter of time before its likely to bring snow into southern new england. Right now, the storm is well away here from massachusetts. Just clear skies. No sign of any combemding weather. Just a little patchy fog and cold temperatures to greet us on this early sunday morning. 32 right now in boston. But get back to the west, low to mid 20s and even some teens around barre and places like jaffrey 11 degrees. Down to plymouth to 20 degrees. Where we do have patchy fog reported. Just a heads up, a couple of spots of that, with moisture in the air and cold snow packed and clear skies and light winds this morning. Our day planner for boston 32 degrees right now. Icy spots possible. But we do get a quick warm up, milder today. High clouds to finish, lower 40s by 3 00. Well even be in the mid 40s in a few locations today. So a nice way to round out the weekend. Notice those winds, though, shifting out of the northeast late in the day. Not picking up too much yet. That will occur after dark and into tomorrow. Heres the ocean storm. Look how large it is here. You can see that with those lines of equal pressure, storm. Typically a path this far off shore wouldnt bring us much but because it is such a big storm and cold air feeding into it from canada, likely to get a lot of snow out of this. Theres boston 300 miles away from the center of the storm. But you see that snow increasing in coverage from the south to the north. Tomorrow, lasting until tapering late. But new shot of some snow late on monday night into tuesday with another low Pressure Center ink swinging through. And there could be another one this is an unsettled pattern on monday, the main event. Into tuesday, and even wednesday and thursday, still snowy conditions. Check out the winter storm watch be expanded all the way up to the New Hampshire border all the way back to southern Worcester County. This is 7 a. M. In the morning tomorrow, and through 7 a. M. On tuesday. Keep a look on the totals, if the track shifts, if the intensity changes, these totals will be changing as well. Right now on the current track, 4 to 7 in boston, 7 to 8, equallily higher amounts ocean effect snows can enhance those bands along the plymouth shore line, possibly into barnstable county. Northward, nashua and parts of southern New Hampshire to the west, vermont only a coating to maybe 3 inches. Take a look at winds. 10, 20, late tonight. Into tomorrow morning, 20, 30, even 40 miles an hour gusts. So were going to being piling up water up against the shore so a coach flood advisory that be posted and were going to be watching that around the time of high tide 11 00 tomorrow. So water coming up onto the roads there. North side of the cape and over into Plymouth County. Its going to be bringing snow . Here during the morning drive tomorrow. Theres the storm lifting out over the ocean. Its going to make a far path from southern new england. But its a big storm, initial wind and initial rain in morning when we see shiri as we start our monday morning. Already snow spreading northward, boston, into southern Worcester County. And southern New Hampshire through the lunch hour tomorrow. And then could see some tapering late in the day tomorrow. From the west to the east. But then a new round of snow again, late monday night into tuesday as another storm tracks through. So enjoy your super bowl sunday. Temperatures under mostly sunny skies. To other news, two Home Invasion suspects in the hospital this morning. One shot by police after that suspect opened the door, armed with a gun. This morning, Police Still Investigating both the shooting and the initial crime. Daniel thats right. It is all developing this morning, fox 25 Stephanie Coueignoux live in lowell. Stephanie still a lot of Unanswered Questions this morning about just what happened. Reporter and i walked inside behind me to ask about an update update. Right now, we dont know the name of the suspects or whether this was a random or targeted Home Invasion. Hoping to learn more in a few hours once the sergeant comes in. Take a look. This is video after that Home Invasion, you can see police swarming that neighborhood. This is on pine hill street. This is what we know so far. According to police, they received a call about that Home Invasion at around 8 15 last night. When they arrived at that home, that is when they found a man in the doorway holding a gun. The officer then fired his gun, hitting the suspect twice. And while all of this was going on, police say a second suspect ran out the back of that home, a neighbor we spoke with told us that it sounded like he was running through the river that goes through that neighborhood. Now police eventually caught that suspect several blocks away. Both of those suspects taken to the hospital with injuries. Happened just after 8 00 in the evening. One neighbor told us that he was relaxing in front of the tv at gunshots. I was, showing. Because this was a quiet area right here. I heard the gunshots most people say it is prior cracker but i know a gunshot when i hear one and i jumped right up when i reporter there were two people inside that home that were assaulted. They were taken to the hospital but we are told they are expected to be okay. When i walked inside the Police Department just a short time ago they told me there could be an update within the hour. So ill be walking inside and have an update for you when i receive that information. Fox 25 news. Heather 7 33 now, and this morning, an iraq war vet is being evaluated at a local hospital as he faces charges for this all started at a bedford gas station yesterday morning. Michael sullivan is accused of getting in the victims truck the road. You can see the short case from the dash cam, as the police and the victims husband followed that truck into carlisle. When sullivan was stopped. Police tell us he was confused canted know where he was. Police say sullivan suffers from Mental Health issues and addiction and left a v. A. Hospital without permission. Hes now due in court tomorrow. Daniel this morning, we are expecting to learn more about a fire in north andover, it happened yesterday at the street. A woman on the second floor found dead inside. And the coastal flooding concern will be with us, in this ocean storm tracking eastward off of the florida coastline right now. So its clear here in southern new england right now. A few teens mixing in places like jaffrey and barre and even towards plymouth 20 degrees here, watching out for slick spots. Actually improving here after sunrise, so going the right way with that. Then we have another burst of snow late monday into tuesday as this lull moves by and just going to be in an unsettled pattern this week with repeated disturbances coming through. We have several chances here, daniel. And heather, good morning. If you are waking up, low pressure on the move away from the florida coastline right now. This storm has formed it is likely to intensify and pass will be a big storm do we will have to consider snow potential, sunday, 7 a. M. Nice and quiet. A few high clouds late in the day. And really not much until midnight. As we wake up tomorrow morning, of course we have some showers in barn stable and nantucket possibly to the vineyard but see how quickly the cold High Pressure to the north will feed the cold air and we get wide sproad by 9 in the morning, south ward to south Worcester County and then all the way up into southern New Hampshire by noon tomorrow, and then late in the day, we are still dealing with snow, even though we begin to see some tapering from the west to the east. And then another storm after that. We will keep our snow chance going and i will talk more about that in the sevenday forecast and by the way, today is not bad. Get out and enjoy the lower 40s. Enjoy what we can. All right. Developing this morning, two Home Invasion suspects are in the hospital one shot by a police officer. It happened on pin hill questions this morning that need to be answered. Fox 25s stephanie couigneaux live this morning, this sort of thing doesnt usually happen in that area . Reporter and, daniel, neighbors told us this is a very quiet neighborhood. This actually took place just after 8 oclock in the evening. And it is understandably they are very shaken up. Now, officers from the Police Department behind me responded to the Home Invasion, about a mile and a half away. And when they arrived, Police Say One of the suspects gun. Take a look at this video from just after that Home Invasion. Officers responded to this situation. Night. And Lowell Police are telling us after that suspect confronted the officer with the gun, the officer then fired his gun, hitting the suspect twice. Police also found a second suspect just a few blocks away, and also taken to the hospital. As for the two people inside the home, they were assaulted during that Home Invasion. The good news though is that police say they will they are expected to fully recover, i should say. We did speak with one neighbor who told us while this was happening, he was relaxing on his couch. He was watching t. V. When all of a sudden, he heard gunshots. It was pretty dramatic. I didnt expect to hear none of that at all. I was just shocked. I heard the first gunshot and then i heard the other three. Reporter a lot of people had no idea what was going on at first. Some thinking it was firecrackers. Again, turns out to be gunshots. Still a lot of questions though. I just checked with police. They still havent released the names of the suspects or told us whether this was random Home Invasion or this was a targeted Home Invasion. But, coming up in 30 minute, how that second suspect tried to escape and avoid getting caught. In lowell, im stephanie couigneaux, fox 25 news. Its 8 03. A High School Student has been arrested for a car vandalism spree that spanned several towns. A 15 yearold from auburn has been charged with destruction of property. This is after last month, a window of dozens of cars were shot out of a beebe gun in auburn as we reported. Police also believe that teen may be responsible for similar incidents in worcester, webster, and oxford. And this morning we are looking to get more information about a body that was found in a construction site in boston. A fox 25 camera was there yesterday afternoon as police investigated the scene on beacon street. Right now, police are not saying who that victim is or how that person might have died. A fallen tree branch claimed the live of a father of three for a Community Already mourning the loss of a little girl. Kaleigh kenyon died when a tree hit her in her backyard playing friday afternoon. Hours later, another huge limb fell off in a different canton neighborhood hitting a man working to clear off his backyard hockey rink. Another tragedy on top of the mind for everyone in the community. It was beautiful. But its absolutely dangerous, people need to be aware. Canton town officials went around all day saturday clearing limbs and trees that didnt look safe. In some cases they even closed people in hol listton are waking up and breathing a sigh of relief because they can actually switch the light switch on now. The power is back on there after it had been out for the last two days. Because of the wet, heavy snow that took down trees. Pole, and power lines there. As in much of the state. Developing this morning, the United States and south korea are getting ready to begin talks to deploy u. S. Missile Defense Systems in south korea. The news comes after north korea fired a longrange rocket yesterday, that is believed to be a test of band missile technology. The country claims that it was attempting to launch a satellite into orbit. The officials feared that with each nuclear test and Missile Launch, north korea is moving closer to creating a Nuclear Missile capable of reaching the United States. Nuclear weapons in the hand coupled with Ballistic Missiles and their leaders odd demeanor and position right there on the d. M. Z. , that is a really serious combination. If the Missile Defense system is sent to north korea, that can cause tensions with china, who would likely see it as a threat to its interest in that region. Unless worcester receives the formal amount of rain from now until june, the city may have tight restrictions on water usage by the time summer comes an at woors, purchase water so they have issued a water supply alert effective immediately. We want people to to focus on how they use water and cut back on things they dont need to use it for. It can be as simple as taking shorter showers or not running the faucet when you brush your teeth, but Pay Attention and take, you know, if everyone does a little bit, we can keep the water use down. We have a storm system moving off the coast of florida right now, tracking northeastward and gaining intensity. This is going to be a large storm. It will pass well off shore but the size of it could start to bring snow as early as tomorrow mornings drive time. So, get out and enjoy, finish up your cleanup from last fridays mess and we will be starting in on more snow i think tomorrow morning with clear skies right now leading to a little patchy fog. Thats gone now. Its 32 in swamp scott, 23 dedham, 28 watertown. We still have some below freezing temperatures with some slick spots early on. Even still a few mid teen, jaffry, barry, 25 there in lowell and 22 in plymouth, 31 in brewster there out in the outer temperatures today going to warm up out of the 30s into the to 40s so we have a fairly mild day and we will see some melting and then are a refreezing overnight tonight and then snow moving in during the morning tomorrow. There is the storm. Well off the outer banks, passing well southeast of boston, miles off shore. Normally thats far away but with the size of the storm and k see that by the lines of equal pressure here, it shows you where that wind is going to be strongest. You see the snow coming in, ocean enhancedtype snow and theres the closest path to the storm, 380 miles away, but again with the size of the storm, we do have to factor it in the potential for heavy snow moving in during the morning tomorrow, midday, during the late day tomorrow, we could see a little lull. But then watch here. Overnight, monday night into tuesday, a new low coming by and it starts to pull off the snow right aback again. Our chance through the week, highest on monday, a little lower tuesday, but still with us even wednesday and thursday, is another coastal thursday. So, very unsettled off and on snowy week ahead. February we have almost had our february total so far and i think with this next event over the next few days, we might as well catch up to our february snow on average. And then, we will cut into the overall deficit that we are in, we are about 8 below normal in boston. But, throughout this week, we could easily catch that up. And wipe out the snow deficit. We have a winter storm watch, boston back to south Worcester County to the north shore, all the way down the cape and islands here, and thats where we will see the highest totals on the track of the storm right now, Plymouth County, down to the western part of the cape here, 78, locally higher amounts, where those ocean effect snow bands could set up. Boston, back here toward worcester about 47. Along out to gloucester as well. As we go back here, through southern New Hampshire, southern vermont, just about 34 possible, the farther west you go, a coating to only 2 away there are your totals. Less talk wind, late tonight, the winds begin to pick up out out of the northeast. That will pile up the water on the shoreline. We have flooding concerns as a result, but also the flying and blowing snow. Look at the wind gusts. Tomorrow, 3040 for the cape and islands in particular, even the south shore and north shoar shore, too. Higher gusts. The high tide time tomorrow right around 11 00 in the morning so either side of that, we will have the minortomoderate coastal flood concerns. The sevenday forecast, its cold. Off and on show showers right through a better part of the week. And then an arctic front broadcasts in here thursday to drop the temperatures down to 10 degrees by friday morning. Two Home Invasions suspects are in the hospital this morning. One of them shot by police after opening the door armed with a gun. This morning, police are still investigating both the shooting to it all. It all is still developing this morning. Fox 25 stephanie couigneaux live in lowell. Stephanie, this are still a lot of Unanswered Questions about just what happened . Two of the main question, one, is this a targeted or random Home Invasion and, two, who are these suspects . I walked into the Police Department right here behind me a short time ago. They are not releasing that information just yesterday but i am told the sergeant should be coming in and i will walk back inside and hopefully have an update for you in 30 pinots. Take a minutes. Take a look. This is video from the Home Invasion on pill hill street a mile and a half away from the Police Department which is where we are. But this is what we know so far. According to police, they received a call about that Home Invasion at around 8 15 last night. When they arrived, that is when they found a man in the doorway police are calling it a confrontation. An officer then fired his gun hitting the suspect twice. While all this was going on, police say a second suspect ran out the back of that home and a neighbor we spoke with told us that it sounded like that man was running bein the river through the neighborhood. Police were able to catch the suspect several blocks away. Both suspects taken to the hospital with injuries. Again, keep in mind this all happened at around 8 15 in the evening, one neighbor told me he was relaxing, he was on the couch watching t. V. When he heard those gunshots. I was shocked, this is a quiet area right here. I heard the gunshots, people say it was firecrackers but i knew what it was when i heard it and i jumped right up and put my shoes on. As you can imagine, hearing the gunshots relaxing inside your home, very frightening. Police told us there were two people in that home during that Home Invasion, those two people are told they are expected to be okay. But, again, i will be going inside the Police Department, hopefully having an update for you in 30 inminutes. It all started station. Michael sullivan is accuse of getting into the victims truck and telling her he had to go up the road and police shared this gash cam video with fox 25. You can see the short chase it led to as police and the victims husband followed the truck in the into carlisle. When sullivan was stopped police tell us he was confused and didnt know where he was. Police say sullivan suffered from Mental Health issues and addiction. And had left the v. A. Hospital without permission. He is now due in court tomorrow. This morning, we are expecting to learn more about a fire in north andover. At this multifamily home on park street. The woman who lived on the second floor was found dead inside. Developing this morning, two Home Invasion suggestion pects are in the hospital right now. One of them was shot by a police officer. It happened last night on pine hill street in lowell, but there is still a lot of questions that need to be answered. Fox 25 stephanie couigneaux is live in lowell this morning and, doesnt usually happen in that area. Reporter its a very quiet neighborhood, thats what people are el thing us. Not only that, this happened at a time when a lot of families were enjoying their evening at around 8 oclock certainly a lot of people still shaken up. But, officers here at the Lowell Police department, they drove about a mile and a half away, responding to a Home Invasion. And when they arrived they say one of those suspects confronted an officer with a gun. Take a look. This is some video from just after that Home Invasion. And you can see a lot of police at that scene right there as they investigated. Now, again, they got the call around 8 15 last night, and the Lowell Police told us after the suspect confronted the officer with that gun, the officer then fired his gun, hitting the suspect twice. There was also a second suspect. Police found that man just several blocks away. He was also hurt and taken to and there were two people inside the home at the time of that Home Invasion. They had been assaulted, but thankfully police are telling us, even though they were hurt, it wasnt serious. Okay. But, we spoke with one neighbor who told us that he was on his couch. He was relaxing for the evening, watching t. V. , when all of a sudden he heard four gunshots. It was tremendousty dramatic. I didnt expect to hear none of that at all. I was shocked. I heard the first gunshot and i heard the other three. Reporter he said he was just in shock after he heard all of that gun fire. Now, i just checked in with police here at the Police Department. They told me so far no updates. This is still an Ongoing Investigation. They still havent released the names of the suspect or told us if this was a random or targeted Home Invasion. But, coming up in 30 minute, how police and neighbors told us that second suspect tried to in lowell, im stephanie couigneaux, fox 25 news. A High School Student has been arrested for car vandalism spree that is spanning several towns. The tell gram and gazette reporting a 15 yearold from auburn has been charged with destruction of property. As we reported, last month, the windows of dozens of cars were shot out with a beebe gun in auburn. Police also believe the teen may be responsible for similar incidents in worcester. Webster, and oxford. And, this morning, we are still working to get more information about a body that was found at a construction site in boston. Our fox 25 camera was there yesterday afternoon as police investigated the scene on beacon street. Right now, police are not saying who the victim was or how that person might have died. A Falling Tree Branch claimed the life of a father of three and a Community Already mourning the loss of a little girl. Kaleigh kenyon died when a tremendous covered in snow broke off and hit her while she was playing in the snow in her hours later, another huge limb broke off in a different canton neighborhood, hitting a man that was working to clear off his backyard hockey rink. Investigatorless say he was scamming the state. A woman at leadermans home but state auditors suzanne bump did. A recent review of the massachusetts welfare system by her office uncovered almost 14 Million Dollars in medicare and snap benefit fraud. Leadermans case mentioned in her report as a prime example. There is a good deal of fraud that is occurring in the programs that folks are relying on as part of our social safety net. Investigators found leaderman received more than 13,000 in benefits from 2008 to 2009, after reporting an income of just 4 hundred dollars. Authorities say in a sworn affidavit leaderman had income from several companies he owned or is a partner of at that time. In 2008, he reported an income dollars. And almost 70 thousand dollars in 2009. Leaderman was arraigned in Chelsea District Court back in february of last year and fox 25 thousand dollars in restitution to the state. After the suspect opened the door armed with a gun. This morning, police are still investigating both the shooting and the initial crime that led up to this. This is an Ongoing Investigation, thats why the Lowell Police Department Just told me about 25 minutes ago, so far again, still a lot of things that we dont know. We dont know if this was a targeted Home Invasion or whether this was a random Home Invasion. Thats something they are still investigating. And as of now because it is an Ongoing Investigation they have not released the names of the suspects, just yet. But we will continue to check in with them. But, take a look. This is video we want to show you because this is video from just after that Home Invasion see a lot of police there investigating this last night. Now, this is on pine hill street and this is what we know. According to police they received a call about the Home Invasion around 8 15 last night and when they arrived at that home, that is when they found a man standing in the doorway with a gun. An officer then fired his gun, hitting the suspect twice. And while this was all going on, police say a second suspect ran out the back of that home. A neighbor who was right there at the time said it sounded like that suspect was running through the river in that neighborhood. Now, police were able to eventually catch suspect several blocks away, both suspects were taken to the hospital with injuries. And, again, keep in mind this all happened around 8 15 in the evening, when a lotf to families were home enjoying their evening. One neighbor told us that he was relaxing at home on his couch watching t. V. When he heard the gunshots. I was shocked, this is a i heard the gunshots, people said it was firecrackers but i knew a gunshot when i hear it on. A lot of people really shaken up in that neighborhood. Now, police also told us that there were two people inside that home at the time of the Home Invasion. They were assaulted during that Home Invasion. Thankfully though, we can let you know that even though they were injured, they are expected to recover. Chase as police and the victims husband followed that truck into carlisle, when sullivan was stopped police tell us he was confused and didnt know where he was.
