It was all to promote a new line of dresses, the problem, according to regulators, lord taylor didnt make it clear the whole thing was a paid advertisement. Its an expertly executed ad campaign, 50 of the hottest fashion bloggers all in the same paisley dress all over instagram paid as much as 4,000 each to post these pics on the same day. Rachel and rachel got the dress for free and among the trend setters behind the ad blitz, lord taylor. They reached out and said we have this dress from design lab and want to send it to 00 influencers and see how they style it and promote it. And had us all post at the same time between 12 p. M. And 3 reporter the campaign, a huge success. Lord taylor selling out of the dress almost immediately. The photobomb reaching more than 11 million instagram users in just two days. But this morning, regulators are calling into question the retail giants tactics. I love a White Peter Pan collar shirt because its a great layering piece and throw it on with another shirt, sweater or layer it with a dress and have the collar stick out. It was both intimidating and kind of a great honor because the role is really wonderful and it provided kind of a great challenge as an actor and, you know, with the character like that and then this clip its kind of hard to see he has like real emotional core and that he has his own feelings about things but thats the challenge of it is to kind of provide this evil character with a real emotional personal center. There are so many layers you brought to lex luthor which was so fascinating to watch on the screen. Isnt it fun to play someone evil . Its kind of fun, isnt it. You get to do all these things that in person youd be know, yelling at bigger people. Stealing. Peeking to that youre going up against superman and batman. What was that like in real terms on the set with henry cavill and ben affleck. I got to take out all these feelings in high school being around the Football Team and notscreaming at them and forcing them to wear cape, my two dreams and i got to accomplish both of them. Theres with a lot of improvising. The script is written by this guy named chris terrio. Brilliant writer, didnt want to change a lot of his stuff but there was a feeling of like to make it our own and make these characters feel kind of fresh and original. Secret. I mean, any of us who have seen it had to sign nondisclosures and so secret you actually had to the set . Yes. We have some picture, i think. Youre channeling your inner laura ingalls. That wasnt disguise. I just am lamenting, you know, kind of the south and, yes, thats my antebellum look. No, no, yeah, because i had this wig on and lex luthor is notoriously bald so didnt want to reveal my character has hair so i had to wear that for months. As great it is to feel youre playing this cool role its incredibly emasculating walking to your work in a kind of hold handkerchief. Very funny so that is a wig. Its not that was my next question. Was that your hair you grew out. I signed as many non nondisclosures agreements, i signed more and cant reveal but there are great like my character changes personalities and visual looks and so the visual look is a redundant thing so i cant say anything. Fair enough, fair enough. So what do you do after playing lex luthor. What are you working on now . Oh, i wrote like a books, i was on a book tour for the last several months and, you know i did a woody allen movie too and its the strangest thing, we did it a year and a half ago and then you work on other things and then coming back to it now is really fun but also you feel a bit disconnected to it and also actors have an unusual amount of down time so try to occupy myself. You told me even despite the down time you have not watched yourself in this film yet. Yeah. Are you going to . No, i you know, i try to avoid it because its like you know, its like hearing yourself on your answering machine. Maybe that doesnt exist anymore. No one has i know what youre talking about. It never hears like what you when you play it back. Its like that times a million. Because not only criticizing your stupid face but your voice sounds weird and everybody about you so im critical. Everybody is critical. Ill tell you, youre fantastic in this film and i understand you were actually slated originally to play another role . Well, they asked me, yeah, to play another role and i didnt think i could do it and i think maybe i was rude to the director he was like, wow, hes rude enough to be lex luthor. Its still closed but look what its doing to i275 southbound through pinellas county. Cars just stacked up here, once they get to 54th avenue south they are going to turn you around and make you go back north on 275 so dont head that way. Ill show you the backup, all the way to 22nd avenue south so you might want to take u. S. 19 if you need to go somewhere around here. Otherwise you have to go across the brings, either the Howard Frankland or gandy to get to tampa, then take 75 south. The gandy bridge is the slowest this morning at 17 minutes. 10 minutes across the Howard Frankland. We are seeing some backup here, people trying to get to the selmon expressway, probably to take that on over to i75, so keep in mind pretty much everywhere its slow going, you definitely want to leave early. We have a crash northbound 275 off to the side but we still have one outside lane blocked here. Very slow going here and this is not helping that detour, of people coming across the bridge trying to get to i75. Ivan, when do you expect the fog on the skyway to lift . A couple of hours. The problem, as it lifts we have the skyway that is well up several hundred feet. Were going to continue to see issues. Most of the tampa bay area has been in the clear. Weve not had a fog issue.
