We have a serious crash, fire and rescue on scene in holiday northbound u. S. 19 at mog road. Reports of at least blocked though traffic still pretty light. Its still early so not a huge slowdown on u. S. 19. Lets open our cameras and see what it looks like outside. You can see the interstates, the road impliesening a little so glistening a little so we have water on the roads, use caution, be careful but up to speed through the interchange. Back to you. Overnight breaking news, this fiery crash on hillsborough avenue you see here, were waiting for word now on how the people involved this is all new video from the scene at hoover boulevard near the veterans expressway there. Meanwhile, we have an update on a 16yearold who was shot in the face. The Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office telling us it was a possible drug deal gone bad. They are now looking for that shooter. We have some video of the scene where we gathering evidence last night. Shooting happened just after 10 30 in alamanda avenue. This was breaking news last night at 11 00. The teen is going to be ok but deputies say hes not cooperating with the investigation. We have a crime alert, Police Say Two member burst into a womans home men burst into a womans home by kicking in her front door and robbed her. Look at surveillance images. It captures the getaway car moments after the crime. As you can see here its a newer model black around 8 00 monday morning the victim saw two men through the peephole banging on her door. When she ignored the two they started to knock even harder. That is when she locked herself in the back and called police. The suspects kicked in her door and got inside. They snagged her purse and television. Luckily she was not hurt. Police say the two were in their 20s to 30s, stocky build wearing black shirts. Police say webber admitted to grabbing the victim and getting on top of her and also told them the attack was random and he had never met or even seen the victim before. The hospital did send a new this morning deputies have arrested a man they say kidnapped a woman and committed horrifying sex crimes against her. Detectives arrested arthur lee junior and say he forced his way into a womans car friday near a gainesville church. They say he locked her in a hotel for two days forcing her into sex and streaming it on the internet. Deputies say he even had about 10 men rape her for money. She was starved cxsgglue h. A burn on her back, finally able to escape when the man asleep. Investigators now trying to find the other men who assaulted her. Were just learning that gawker media may be once again trying to reach a settlement with hulk hogan. The the wall street journal is reporting that gawker is in preliminary talks with hogan about its 140 million judgment that hogan won earlier this year. Hogan sued gawker for invasion of privacy in 2012 after it published a portion of a sex tape he was in. Hogans legal victory drove gawker into chapter 11 next week. Now authorities want to know how it happened but say it happened at a county fair last night. The girls bounced off the wheels metal frame and eventually hit the ground. Also following new developments in kansas city after this 10yearold boy died riding the worlds tallest water slide. Authorities say caleb schwab died of a neck injury sunday on the 168foot tall water slide. Emergency responders found him dead in the pool at the end of the ride. Two women on the slide with him police are now asking witnesses to come forward to help them figure out exactly what happened. That park still closed today. It turns out the driver left because he had to go to the bathroom but the problem was he a few blocks from home and says this has never happened to him in 40 years of riding the bus. The problem is, where we have the more significant flooding is exactly where we have the bands of rain setting up across pasco county. That is where we have the retention pond that overflowed yesterday. Weve been seeing live reports from rodney in New Port Richey, and this area getting in on very heavy rain. Its starting to become concerning here because if this starts filling in, see the shower notice its not moving much to the north or south. Its kinds of just set up right for the area there. If that happens were talking about several additional inches, even more than the 2 to 4 weve been talking about for this area. So were going to have to watch that closely for that additional rainfall. In the last 24 about 2 to 3 inches, along the coast but you have to factor in what has happened since the weekend, since the low has been there. Upwards of 10 inches in some pockets. And again more to come. Specifically across the north localized heavier amounts right along the immediate coast from that radar picture you saw on titan doppler radar. Futurecast there show the trend. Low begins to finally lose its grip with us here and well be able to get into drier times. In that well have plenty of sun through the early part of the day, then back into the afternoon summer thunderstorm pattern which is where we should be. 86 for today with a little more sun this afternoon. Should be able to get warmer than yesterday and really getting back here, low 90s with rain chances around 50 to 60 . By the way that continues through the upcoming weekend. So another day to go through and i think again our Northern Counties today will be hit hardest. Were dealing with wet roads, still, so its one of those mornings where if you can you might want to give yourself extra time to make your way to where you need to go. Investigators say someone was actually trying to sell the beehives with 30,000 bees, this happened in oklahoma. Coming up were heading back to pasco county, getting a better look at the flooding out there. Also how homeowners are trying the final decision on a ferry between st. Petersburg and tampa, three governments okd it and were waiting on with more rain this morning more concern for homeowners right near in pasco county as floodwaters closer to those homes. Coming up in a live report ill detail exactly when many what many of the homeowners plan to do. Another Tampa Bay Community could ban fracking today. In fact the area hit hardest about the very heavy rainfall. This could turn out to be quite an event here. Very heavy rain, training on top of the same spot, its never a good situation even if we had not had flooding let alone the fact we had in this area upwards of 10 inches of rainfall in pockets here. This is what is set up and it is going to continue to move in over the next several hours here. Very heavy rain setting up and you see the showers backbuilding here . Its not a good situation because widen out the shot and you can see more is and theres not Much Movement here in that the same areas will get repeatedly hit with the heavy rainfall throughout the day today. This is why we have the flood watches that have beenenings tended to 8 00 tonight. Generally 2 to 4 inches, yes, but if it sets up and continues through the morning and into the midday hour we could be looking at localized amounts of a halffoot or more of aadditional rainfall. So this has to be watched closely. Well do that throughout the morning. As far as temperatures, back in the mid80s. Get into some afternoon showers and thunderstorms. We just need heating to take hold and by later this afternoon well see that but the steady heavy rain continues for the coastal areas especially across the north. Well talk more about a pattern change the next few days which i think a lot of us will like and drier times ahead but for now still wet roads. Were still dealing with the wet roads, unfortunately with that comes some crashes. We have a new crash reported up in pasco county southbound i75 right after, looks like the crash is a little further south of where fhp is putting it on the maps, south of state road 52 so watch for that. Were also hearing of a possible another crash in the Wesley Chapel area of i75 so well check on that and i will let you know on twitter and of course right here in a few minutes. Outside we still have wealth interstates to deal with wet interstates to deal with but were wide open here at the junction of i4 and i275 so no issues there. Wet roads so do be careful. Back to you. 6 33. Crews with Pasco County Emergency Services are out early this morning with more rain and more flooding expected in some areas. One of the hardest hit. A neighborhood in New Port Richey. Abc action News Reporter Rodney Dunigan is out there this morning. Something that these homeowners havent seen before. Reporter unfortunately not. They are used to this and they are upset about this rain coming down this morning. Something that they were not looking forward to. In fact the water on this block continues to rise. If you look at my feet here its been rising just this morning, were guessing its about six inches and all of it coming from a retention pond just down the street. You can see the barriers set up last night, the water has extended beyond the barriers, just put up last night about a half block down. Of course many folks concerned, theyve spent most of the morning and also last night putting up sandbags hoping that this water doesnt get into their home. Unfortunately it continues to creep closer and closer to homes this morning. The county is trying their best to get on top of this issue this morning. They have brought in pumps to get a lot of this water away from the homes but residents feel it simply wont be enough, folks in the community simply hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Going to get. We put sandbags in front of the garage but hopefully wont go into the house. Reporter that homeowner actually just moved here from portland not long ago. Said he came here to florida for the beautiful weather. Unfortunately he was not expecting this. The county remind people throughout the area to report any problems right away. Of course we have the people that we spoke with this morning that say they have Flood Insurance so its something positive to report. Back here live just another look at the street here, you can see the water continues to rise and its coming from that retention pond just down the street and continues to roll right down the street. As we get more rain of course people in this Community Concerned this issue will only get worse. Pinellas county commissioners have the final vote this morning at their 9 30 meeting. That ferry would run from the Convention Center in downtown tampa to the venoi basin in st. Pete. A oneway ticket would cost 10. A Pilot Program launches in november. Both cities and both counties will each pay 150,000 and so far all governments approved the project. Today, dade city could be the 16th community in florida to ban fracking. Commissioners there holding second and final public hearing on the issue. They will then vote on an ordinance that would prohibit the process of extracting oil and gas from underground opponents say it could contaminate groundwater. Supporters say the industry would above the the states economy. Neighboring Pinellas County already banned it. Dade city will decide tonight at 5 30 at city hall. The Sarasota County is considering changing where crews cut grass to save more than 600,000 in tax dollars. Its southbound i75 about maybe two, two andahalf miles south of state road 52. So before you get totate road 54. A couple of vehicles came together on the outside shoulder, no shoulder, its a barrier wall so one slapped the wall pretty good. Fire left a moment ago so they are in the process of hauling these away, not major damage as you said earlier a little beyond state road 52. So keep it in mind. It should be gone in the next 20 or 30 minutes i suspect. Its 6, 47 but its very dark and courtesy of the rainfall that continues to cross tampa here now, for most of us, actually dry as far as additional rainfall. The roads are quite wet and well continue to see that throughout the day today. This is the area, pasco concerns, of course where its set up. Now with the torrential rains that just keep coming. This is going to continue the next several hours. Well have to watch this closely. Flood watches continue in effect until 8 00 for an additional 2 to 4 inches but notice theres a lot of moisture training from the south and west. So we could be looking at localized very heavier amounts along the coast, New Port Richey to crystal river. Were looking at drier times, just have to wait until heaviest rain diminishes and well get back into a more typical afternoon summer thunderstorm pattern that begins tomorrow. So rain chances still high with a lot of moisture left over but well have plenty of sun early through the next few days and then the afternoon storms and what that will do of course is gets balk to temperatures in the lower 90s where weve been in the the 80s the last two days. Now people are raising questions about the safety. Police say 27yearold Vanessa Marcottes body was found in a wooded area off a road sunday afternoon. She was a google executive from new york city. Visiti princeton. Right now police are telling people to be extra cautious as they search for the killer. This comes two days after another woman was killed while jogging in new york city. People there now demanding more lights and security cameras and want workers to cut high weeds near where that body was found but the city says that would require a contract costing more than 500,000.
