V. , the front end destroyed. a man in another man plowed into the crewser. the officers were shaken up and will be okay. this took place late last night. officers were responding to what was called a fight in progress when they were driving to the accident or the fight. police tell us that officers were traveling south on south arlington when a driver in a van pulled out of Georgia Avenue and struck the police s. V. as you can see by the video, this was a violent collision. airbags deployed and the police unit. you can see the front left tire ripped off the axel. investigators tell us that other officers responded including a canine. the driver of the van which turned out to be stolen was not found. the search for the driver continues this morning. the officers were taken to nearby hospitals with those injuries. understanding they have been released this morning. reporting in akron, nick foley for news channel 5.
