We begin with breaking news this noon. A federal Appeals Court issues a ruling once again impacting the states voter id law. A decision from the seventh Circuit Court of appeals means voters will again be required to show a photo id at the polls in the upcoming november election. The law has been subject to a see saw set of rulings since it month, a federal judge blocked part of the law effectively killing the provision that would require a voter to show id. But todays ruling reverses the situation again. So. Unless theres another ruling between now and november 8th. Voters will be required show an id at the polls on election day. The board will decide if there was wrongdoing on the part of officer Shannon Lewandowski the night of the incident, during which her son was pulled over by a shore wood police officer. If they do will then determine if her firing was appropriate. This hearing is scheduled to happen in three parts over the course of today and tomorrow. Cbs 58 was the only station in the courtroom this morning. The Police Department and representatives for lewandowski questioned several witnesses, including lt. Hanley. Hanley was not lewandowskis immediate supervisor, but he did supervise another detective, who lewandowski claims asked her for help the night of the incident. 27lt. Austin halbrooks was arraigned in a Milwaukee County courtroom this morning. During the appearence, the judge pointed out he knows halbrooks parents although he doesnt believe it will be a conflict of interest. The attornies agreed and they moved on. Defense issued a not guilty plea on halbrooks behalf. Hell be back in court september 13th. He skipped town after his trial begain last month, but now a milwaukee fugitive is back in custody. Us marshals arrested Robert Dorgay last saturday in mississippi. Hed been on the run since cutting off his tracking bracelet the day after his trial began on charges Sexual Assault and strangulation. The case proceeded and dorgay was convicted. Sentencing is Surveillance Video shows thieves stealing fuel from an area gas station. It happened at the bp on seven mile road in caledonia august 3rd. This suspecgt drove his red van up to the pumps and filled up what Police Believe are 55 gallon drums. Between july 25th and august 3rd the suspect hit the gas station three times with an accomplice.
