Sources tell us the two men who were killed were father and son in this home last night and you can see from the damage left behind that this fire was just reless lent completely tearing apart the front structure. After the fire started at around 9 30 last night it took crews from five different Fire Departments to finally put it out. But they cant explain why oscar morel allegedly targeted walking out of the 107th police precinct, charged with two counts of murder. 35yearold oscar morel said nothing and gave no explanation for the killings of Imam Maulama Akonjee and his assistant, tharam uddin. Both men were buried yesterday. Mourners at their funerals say they know why the friends were killed. And i they want justice. Two people just got murdered and nypd saying this might not be a hate crime . I would like to ask is it then . Come on somebody coming up from behind and shooting you for many no reason. At 1 50 saturday afternoon a hit and run witness and Surveillance Video placed morels car at the scene of a crash. Moments later, three miles away police say they found surveillance of morel getting into that same car after fatally shooting the two men. Identical. We looked at the stickers and decals on each of the windshields and they seemed identical. Reporter a grid search led investigators to morel in brooklyn. Their surveillance ended in vehicular assault and an arrest. A search of morels East New York home turned up a gun and clothing that matches the official description of the suspect.
