In this quiet Northern Westchester Community where murders are nearly unheard of, neighbors cant believe anyone would want to hurt her. Very, very nice lady. She gives you a kiss and stuff. Reporter police today continue their search for a president and a weapon, possibly a hand held fire extinguisher missing from the 83yearolds hill top estate in north salem called wind swept farms. Her body found in a laundry room in the main house. Investigators say there was no sign of forced entry. She was found in the laundry room just inside the garage and lying on the floor. The cause of death is blunt force trauma. Reporter she lived on the 300acre property with her husband, the owner of about 100 mcdonalds franchises. The master of the hunt and here revolves around him and his family. Reporter police say she was last heard from around 3 00 p. M. Monday and they believe she was killed around 5 20 that evening. They have been searching from the air and on the ground and also questioning everyone in the community who knew her. And police have also spoken with her husband eugene. Police say a resident noticed the damage to the barrier and looked at the Home Security video and it showed what appeared to be a vehicle traveling fast toward the dead end. The car was found yesterday afternoon. The driver was identified as a 31yearold of brooklyn. A man was caught on video stealing a large box from an Apartment Building. The box contained a bed frame. He and a female accomplice are wanted for two other thefts on october 22nd. Nine people are dead after a small plane crashed into an Apartment Building in ohio. The plane burst into flames as it set the homes on fire. Luckily, no one was at the home at the time. Everyone was okay in there. The owner says there were two crew members and seven passengers onboard. The jet took off from dayton and was supposed to land in akron just two miles from where it crashed. All of a sudden, the plane just like veered sideways and plowed into the duplexes there. And it was just instant boom and flames and smoke and it was horrific. Terrible. The ntsb and faa are sending investigators to the scene. At this point, theres no word on a cause. Reporter the congressman israel with what he calls a game changer, a bipartisan federal proposal to repurpose in foreclosure that have neighbors fighting for years at their wits end. We pay so much in taxes and every day, we have to pass by this house. Its unfair. Reporter governments have tried everything to combat the zombie epidemic, spending millions many cleanup and demolition so can repurposing work . Expanding nationwide would require a 25 million grant to organizations to buy and renovate zombie homes. A murder mystery involving a wealthy new york socialite is unfolding in Westchester County. Police say a fire extinguisher could be the key to solving this case. Janelle burrell is live with more. Investigators say that the fire extinguisher may have been the weapon used to kill her. Neighbors cant believe anyone would want to hurt her. She is a very, very nice lady. Its just beyond unfortunate. Reporter police today continue their search for a suspect and a weapon, possibly a hand held fire extinguisher missing from the 83yearolds hill top estate called wind swept farms. Her body found in a laundry room near the garage in the main house. Investigators say there was no sign of forced entry. She was found in the laundry room which is just inside the garage. And she was lying on the floor. The cause of death is blunt force trauma. Reporter colley lived on the 300acre property with her owner of about 100 mcdonalds franchises. The colley, the master of the hunt, you know, the Horse Community here sort of resolves around him and his family. Reporter police say lois colley was last heard from around 3 00 p. M. Monday and they believe she was killed around 5 20 that evening. They have been searching from the air and on the ground and also questioning everyone in the colleys community who knew her. And so far, police have no motive in this case so they have been talking with everyone who lois colley regularly came in contact with, including her husband who is not being considered a suspect. He says its illegal gambling. Diane macedo is live in times square. Unlike traditional pant single traditional fantasy leagues where you manage a team for the entire season, with these two, you draft a team and collect the winnings or pay out the losses by the end of the weak. End of the week. The attorney general now says he wants to it end here in new york. The operations are illegal gambling under the laws of the state of new york and you have to stop taking bets from new york residents. Reporter that was the message from the attorney general to draft kings and fandual tuesday after a month long investigation concluded theirs is a game of chance, not skill. Its really just a new version of online gambling. Reporter the difference is traditional leagues rely on months of strategic play. It happened on october 3rd in flushing. Police have arrested the roommate, a 41yearold who they say assisted the two men. The victim took himself to the hospital where he was treated and released. Former president jimmy carter is responding well to cancer treatments. That is the word from the Carter Center in atlanta. A spokeswoman says there have been no new science of the disease since carter began treatment. He had a mass removed from the liver in august. Doctors discovered four tumors on his brain. Carter is 91 years old. A raise for many state employee, Governor Cuomo says the salaries of about 10,000 to 15 an hour over the next six years. I lost a couple friends early on and i realized the importance of taking portraits in the likely vent that she didnt come back. Reporter she took hundreds of photos in iraq, many from the front lines but after she herself was wounded by an ied blast, her life as a combat photographer came to an spend she discovered a new calling. When i got wounded and spent time in the hospital, i was looking around at other veterans and they really inspired me to want to continue. Veterans portrait project and now travels the country taking portraits of veterans. For her, its an opportunity to give back. A lot of veterans came home and then went right back to their regular lives. And especially the vietnam era veterans who didnt get the welcome home that veterans of my generation did. They are considering that as the possible murder weapon in this case. And state police spent much of tuesday searching by air and on the ground around that 300acre estate where the 83yearold lived with her husband Eugene Colley who made his fortunate owning about 100 mcdonalds franchises across the country. And investigators say colley was last heard from monday afternoon and then was found dead in the main house on their property around 5 00 monday evening. She was found in the laundry room which is just inside the garage. And she was lying on the floor. The cause of death is blunt force trauma. A very, very nice lady. Its just beyond unfortunate. Reporter and so far, investigators have no suspect, no weapon, and no motive this case. Police are now questioning everybody who regularly came in contact with colley, including her husband eugene who has not been named a suspect in this case. And Police Release video of a suspect in a forcible touching incident in bronx. It happened last month. Say a 20yearold woman was approached by a man who tried to strike up conversation. The suspect flew off the 39th street exit ramp on to 4th avenue and then jumped the curb, hitting the sidewalk hard. That basically took out the front right control arm or axle or something. And disabled him. They shattered his window and pulled him out. Police identified the suspect as a 20yearold. He was taken into custody and faces a series of charges. A middle schoolteacher in connecticut is fired after he was caught on camera pulling a chair if under a student. The student reportedly refused his request to move to another seat. Reporter but a lot of those 150 pounds of sugar we consume are actually hiding in processed foods. You can find it in peanut butter, condiments such as ketchup, bread, crackers and even yogurts. Reporter thats why the fda wants to change food labels to tell the difference between sugar thats added to foods and sugar thats naturally occurring as in fruits. The idea is to get americans to reach the new guidelines of just 10 of the daily intake. That turns out to be no more than 12. 5teaspoons of sugar a day in a 2,000calorie diet. Bottom line, it can be hard to know where its hiding in your diet so always and keep them sugar content low. Food industry Officials Say focusing on one component often has unintended consequences. For instance, when low fat foods were encouraged, sugar made many of the foods palettable. The state representative has introduced a bill for people 21 and older to make marijuana completely legal.
