The Workers Union says the two sides are as far apart as they have ever been. Wondering what are they in for. Cbs 2 Jessica Schneider joins us now on what new Jersey Transit is saying. Jessica . New Jersey Transit officials are not giving very many details. All they will say is that theyre developing plans to accommodate customers in the vent of a strike. But many of those customers just bought monthly passes for march and they say that answer is not good enough. It wouldnt be a good thing at all. I mean a lot of people ride these trains. Dan martin takes the train several times a week into the city. He heard about a possible strike, and is anxious to hear how it might affect him. Of course, it is a contingency. If they do walk off the job, how are they going to keep these people moving to and from work . New Jersey Transit has so far only released this. In the event the unions call a strike, we will have a plan in place to accommodate customers who have purchased tickets and passes. Customers should purchase their ticks and passes as they normally would purchase them. Commuters say without knowing the details of any contingency plan, they are taking a chance. Will they lose out if the trains dont run . New Jersey Transit will only say that monthly pass holders will be made whole. Governor christie refused to answer any questions about the issue at an appearance monday. The issue of nj transit, are you concerned about the possibility of a strike . Reporter new fees for first club are not scoring points with all parents. This is going to exclude a lot of families because they cant bear the financial burden. Reporter corinne is astounded over the nearly tripling of fee from 130 to 320 players for players under six years old. 10yearolds pay even more. I think people are quietly going to leave the league. The new fee is for professional trainers. Because the soccer club explains to parents, its volunteer Coaching Staff has limited knowledge of the game of soccer and the trends in u. S. Soccer, is professional trainers for all ages, to stop the exodus, of players. They can wait a few more years until they spend the big bucks on the trainers. With kids just out of diapers worry about the ever increasing price of suburban club sports, often the only option for elementary aged student to play team spates. You have to buy the cleats and shin guards and i have five children. So you know, so that would be huge for me. Support of the new fees. Even this former Soccer Club President and soccer store owner scoffed at the notion of professional training for 5 yearolds. Kids are going to burn out at 9 and 10. Parents are going to get burned out with the cost. It is bad. The babylon soccer club tells parents, it is not training kids for the world cup. But professional training keeps them enthusiastic about the sport. Because they can better compete and win. But critics say everyone loses when kids have to drop out because parents cant afford registration fees. They are asking that professional training for the littlest ones be optional.
