Were tracking many changes because this forecast is a little interesting for sure. As we move through our saturday, we have dry conditions right now, and temperatures on the warmer side. Temperatures will be bumping up. Youve got your 7day forecast right there at the bottom of the screen. But then our forecast elements will be changing. Doppler radar as well as satellite showing us High Pressure has slipped right off the coast. So now plenty of cloud cover moving in. We will spend our saturday with plenty of clouds around. We have some areas of patchy fog this morning especially in the city of philadelphia. If youre out driving or out and about you want to take it easy on the roads until the fog burns off. The clouds will remain. Were watching the system here west of the great lakes. Its just turning about and trying to get organized. The system will be on the move. It has plenty of precipitation along with it. So today would be the dry day. When we look at your weekend, in terms of where you are neighborhoodwise for saturday, sunday, monday, once we get to monday, were drying out. However, today we do look for some peeks of sunshine with the exception of the jersey shore. Were going to stay with the cloud cover there. A little cooler at 77 degrees. You see the symbols there. There is a possibility later on in the day today, mainly north and west of philadelphia, could get a spotty shower, maybe a rumble of thunder moving through. New from overnight, we have learned one of the victims in a double shooting in philadelphias West Oak Lane neighborhood has died. As far as 10 was over mohican street last night where the 24yearold man was shott. The second victim is in the hospital. Three teenagers were shot in the a house party in west Nevada Street where the gunfire broke out at 11 30 last night. A 16 and 17yearold boy and an 18yearold are all in the hospital. Police have made no arrests in the case. This morning a Gloucester CountySchool Maintenance worker is in jail accused of tricking middle School Students into sending him pornography. He was arrested on thursday. Detectives say the 32yearold posed as a teenage girl on Facebook Messenger and exchanged images with two students. They attended Williamstown Middle School where he worked as a contract employee. The superintendant tells us the contractor immediately fired him and he will not return to the district. Police are now encouraging parents to speak with their kids will social media safety. Its appalling. And we try to keep our kids as safe as possible. And like, its just horrible to hear. Police say there may be other victims out there. They are already scheduling interviews with more students. A farmer in Burlington County is hopefully getting some rest this morning after spending hours trapped inside a grain bin. Take a look. Sky force 10 was over Chesterfield Township yesterday as First Responders worked for three hours to free chris probasco. He told us he was in the grain bin fixing a jam to load more soybeans and then sank into them. He was pinned by hundreds of thousands of pounds of soybeans. I must have been standing in the wrong location. It sucked me down to my knees. And the other man that was in there with me went to shut off the the augur off. In the process of doing that, it drew you down further to where i was down to about my chest. I was never in any pain. Had no issues at all. They went to the hospital. The doctor said, why did you come here . Anyways, it wasnt any issue. Probasco tells us he plans to find out who his rescuers were, where they came from, so that he can properly thank them. This morning a pharmacist in bucks county will not be facing any charges after he shot and killed a would be robber. The masked man had a shot gun and zip ties when he walked inside the pharmacy in levittown yesterday morning. The pharmacist saw it on his Security Camera so he grabbed his gun and ordered the man to surrender but the man jumped over the counter. Thats when the pharmacist shot him. He was entirely justified in his conduct. He frankly should be commended. From what i can see he performed a public service. Police are working to identify the suspect. They released this photo of a tattoo on his stomach. Theyre looking for help from the public. According to investigators, the getaway driver was sitting outside the pharmacy and didnt know his partner had been shot and killed. He was later arrested and will now face charges. The system will be moving west to east, headed our way. We could even get a spotty, isolated shower tonight into tomorrow. Mainly north and west of philadelphia. Shore points should stay dry today, but the cloud cover will remain. When we look at today versus sunday, at least today we are anticipating drier conditions. Its a 5050 for sure, but we are looking for our weather story to tell us scattered showers today, later on in the day, mainly north and west of philadelphia. And then tomorrow, first alert, because there is potential for some severe storms later on in the day. So this map showing us right now, anyway, where the highest threat will be. Again, its sort of north and west of philadelphia. And some of the severe storms could contain strong winds, heavy rainfall, maybe even the potential for hail. Futurecast will put it into motion. As this particular weather model, 9 00 a. M. Spotty showers around the area. Midday we see in harrisburg, central part of the state, that the storms sort of line up and gain some strength instead of falling apart as it moves closer to the shoreline. It looks like this system will gain strength. Heavy rain pockets in there. You can see the convection as the system moves on through. This is late in the day, early evening. As the system does move on closer to the shoreline there is a potential there for some strong winds and some heavy downpours. Here you see some purples and magenta color as it gets closer to the shoreline. That is some Severe Weather later on tomorrow. Investigators in fort hood, texas, are now looking at how nine soldiers died during a training exercise. Search crews recovered the last four bodies of the soldiers who went missing on thursday. Temperatures will be on the uptick, despite limited sunshine. We are looking for temperatures, High Temperatures across the region, 84 degrees to 87 degrees in and around philadelphia. It will be warm today. Were going to start to feel the humidity really building in as we move through our saturday into sunday. Dry conditions right now. We do have cloud cover around, and the clouds will be persistent today. We are looking for mostly cloudy skies with peeks of sunshine here and there. Especially along the shoreline. Not doing too badly there. Were watching the system out here in the central part of the ohio valley. Its just bringing in some precipitation. Just moving into the farthest Western Point of pennsylvania, some shower activity there. The low pressure up here pushing west to east through the great lakes. Parts of chicago already getting rain. Its interesting because the system is so large, its actually pulling moisture from the gulf all the way to the south there. So this system is really getting its act together. Then it will be pushing west to east into our area overnight tonight, into tomorrow. So we are saying today is looking like the dry day compared to what we are set up for tomorrow. So our weather story sets up this way. We are looking for the potential for scattered shower activity late today. North and west of philadelphia. Tomorrow is a first alert day because there are potential for severe storms embedded in the storms moving through tomorrow. This showing us the severe storm threat. Its looking like mainly north and west of philadelphia, but we cant rule out the potential for the threat to be even moving down further south southeast. He died late yesterday after being hospitalized in phoenix with respiratory problems. Ali dominated the boxing ring for decades, but he also fought for civil and religious rights. Nbc10s Randy Gyllenhaal reports on his connections to our area. Reporter muhammad alis most famous fight was coined the fight of the century against Smokin Joe Frazier who is immortalized here on this stautue. Ali and frazier were both undefeated in 1971. And ali lost for the first time after 15 tough rounds. His family says ali died at a hospital in phoenix from that respiratory issue. He had also been suffering from parkinsons disease for the past few decades. Ali was 74 years old. His reach extended well beyond boxing. He converted to islam in the 1960s. A proponent of civil rights. He famously refused to fight in the vietnam war. That became so controversial he was briefly stripped of his heavyweight title. We just finished talking to pennsylvanias former boxing commissioner who speaks of muhammad alis connection to our area. Pennsylvania was probably his second home. He trained many, many years up in deer lakes Training Camp up in the poconos. His his rivalry with joe frazier was just absolute sporting theater. In other news from overnight. Three teenagers are in stable condition after being shot at a house party in north philadelphia. Nbc10 was on the scene on west Nevada Street where the gunfire broke out around 11 30 last night. Two boys 16 and 17 years old, along with an 18yearold young man, are in the hospital. Police have not made any arrests in this case. Also new from overnight, one of the victims in a double shooting in philadelphias West Oak Lane neighborhood has died. The 24yearold was shot. A second victim is still in the hospital. This morning a Gloucester CountySchool Maintenance worker is in jail accused of tricking middle School Students into sending him pornography. Monroe Township Police arrested Michael Mostovlyan on thursday. Detectives say the 32yearold posed as a teenage girl on Facebook Messenger and exchanged images with two students. They attended Williamstown Middle School where mostovlyan worked as a contract employee. The superintendant tells us the contractor immediately fired mostovlyan and hell not return to the district. Police are now encouraging parents to speak with their kids about social media safety. Its appalling. We try to keep our kids as safe sass possible. And like its just horrible to hear. Police tell us there may be other victims, so theyre already scheduling interviews with more students. To a story that we first brought to you on nbc10 news last night. Yesterday afternoon last night at 11 00 and yesterday afternoon. A farmer in Burlington County is hopefully resting a little bit easier this morning after spending hours trapped inside a grain bin. Take a look. Sky force 10 was over Chesterfield Township yesterday as First Responders worked for three hours to free chris probasco. The farmer tells us he was in the bin fixing a jam so he could load more soybeans when he started to sink into them. Firefighters responded. They found him pinned by hundreds of thousands of pounds of soybeans. I just must have been standing in the wrong location. Because it sucked me down to my knees. And the other man that was in there with me went out to shut the augur off. In the process of doing that, it drew you down further to where i was down to about my chest. I was never in any pain. Had no issues at all. They went to the hospital. Doctor said, why did you come here . But anyways, it wasnt any issue. Probasco tells us he plans to find out who are his rescuers, where they are from so he can properly thank them. Its now the defenses turn. Attorneys for chaka fattah will continue to present their case in the congressmans corruption trial next week. After 13 days the prosecution rested yesterday morning. A pharmacist in bucks county will not be facing any charges after he shot and killed a wouldbe robber. Thats according to prosecutors who say the masked man had a shot gun and zip ties when he walked into the pennsbury pharmacy in levittown yesterday morning. The pharmacist saw what was happening on the Security Cameras so he grabbed his gun and ordered the man to surrender. The man jumped over the counter and the pharmacist shot him. He was entirely justified in his conduct and frankly should be commended. He, from what i can see, performed a public service. Police are still working to identify the suspect. They did release this photo of a tattoo thats on his stomach. Theyre asking for the publics help. Investigators say the getaway driver was sitting outside the pharmacy and didnt realize that his partner had been shot and killed. He was later arrested and will face charges. Extreme hoarding. This weekend a northerly Philadelphia Community is remembering a passer who was killed in a hitandrun crash last week. The soldiers of the Lord Ministry hosted a memorial for eliezer leon. In north jersey a couple is facing charges in a case of animal hoarding that Officials Say is the worst they have ever seen. Yesterday authorities rescued nearly 300 small dogs from this home in Monmouth County. A Humane Society official investigating a report of a run away dog smelled a foul odor at the couples house after hearing dogs barking inside. He notified the spca. Crews in hazmat suits arrived to find fleabitten dogs on book shelves and in between walls with some appearing petrified of the daylight outside. Theyre just undersocialized, fearful. Many are shaking. They havent been around a lot of people. The floors are rotting. It smells horrendous in there. The spca is now caring for the dogs and will soon be offering them up for adoption.
