We didnt get any rain today, although it may have looked like it. Weve got cloudy skies throughout the area. But the rain has not arrived yet. You can see that the rain has rolled back west of harrisburg. Its going to take several hours before it would get into this area. Its not all that large an area. Were not talking about steady rain for the rest of the week. But every day has a chance of rain, at least at some point. Here is the futurecast. As we go toward later tonight, 11 30, its starting to get in the northern and western suburbs. The heaviest rain may occur in the middle of the night. When you wake up, the ground is likely to be wet. Thats a pretty solid area. By 4 30, its already, at least the heaviest of it, starting to move offshore. The rain may be ending before you actually get out in the morning. But there will be rain by that time, and the roads are going to be wet. The suburbs, again, getting the rain earlier. Now to new details about the moments leading up to the deaths of two wilmington firefighters over the weekend. Meanwhile, a salute from their brothers and sisters. A motorcade escorted the bodies of the fallen firefighters from the lab to their funeral homes. 41yearold Christopher Leach and 51yearold jerry fickas died when a floor collapsed during a house fire saturday morning. Reporter this morning, hundreds of on and offduty Wilmington Police officers and firefighters lined the streets as the bodies of the two fallen firefighters were carried to their respective funeral homes. Its touching to see everybody that came out. I think it meant a lot to people. But, you know, we would rather not be together that way. Reporter back at the scene of the fire, you see what is left of the row home where lieutenant Christopher Leach lost his life saturday morning with reports of someone trapped inside the house. He went right in but became trapped in the basement after the floor came out. Firefighter jerry fickas was killed when he went in to try to find leach. Two other firefighters are suffering from burns. The family is heartbroken for the firefighters families. Fire officials confirmed there had been some recent car fires but arent ready to say theyre connected to this fire. They say at this point this is not a criminal manhunt either. Were not there. Were simply looking for information about the fire, anywhere or anybody that has it. Reporter he says each firefighter will have a funeral but there will likely be a joint Memorial Service on saturday. In wilmington, tim furlong, nbc 10 years. In south jersey, killers are on the run in burlington county. Two guys with masks broke into a home in the browns mills section of pemberton. They shot and killed Norman Mosley inside the home. Police hope someone comes forward with information. Commuters have had months of traffic delays in northwest philadelphia. The walnut lane bridge closed back in april for construction. Well, it finally reopens tomorrow. Once that happens, traffic will no longer be re directed to lincoln drive. New at 6 00, several local Police Departments will soon wear body cameras thanks to a grant today by the department of justice. The doj handed out 20 million to departments in more than 30 states, including pennsylvania, delaware, and new jersey. The Camden County Police Department got the green light. Newcastle county, delaware will start getting new police cameras. Elsewhere, former Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey unveiled his take on unrest in charlotte and body cameras. He wrote an opinion piece in the New York Times yesterday following the shooting in north carolina. He said there needs to be a National Standard over how information such as police video is released to the public. He said charlottes delay in releasing the video led to the protests. The golfing world is morning the death of legendary player Arnold Palmer, who died sunday night in latrobe, pennsylvania, his hometown, after battling an illness. He was 87 years old. He played many courses from marion to white marsh. He designed them too. On the course at bluebell country club, they say his favorite hole is one of the most challenging.
