And as we had been predicting for over a week, the rain stayed to the south. We had a nice comfortable weekend. Well, its not that comfortable anymore. Its warm and muggy. It feels like summertime out there. Back to 83 degrees today. Weve got some heavy rain coming. Perhaps twice in the next sevenday period and some of that could be tropical moisture. Thats pretty dark out there, we have some showers, especially in the western sky where were looking right now. 80 degrees, 12 degrees warmer than it was at this time yesterday. And were in the mid 70s north and west, near 80 degrees around philadelphia and as we head toward the shore, it is a little bit cooler and its going to stay cooler and its going to stay windier and it may get wetter, too. Heres that east wind, and the temperatures down a little bit. Theres been some beach erosion, high tides, rough surf over the last several days. Thats nothing compared to later this week. Got to watch out if youre down the shore or if you have interest at the shore for whats going to be happening. This is the forecast track from the hurricane center. Obviously, taking it somewhere close enough to the jersey shore to have a lot of interest in that, but its not just a 50 mile an hour wind storm. This is day after day of onshore winds, High Pressure to the north, low pressure to the south, and look at all that east wind. So the strong onshore wind could lead to coastal flooding and beach erosion. And its this High Pressure, gigantic area of High Pressure in canada, thats acting as the blocking pattern to prevent this from going out to sea. And cause it to perhaps make a left turn right into a portion of the east coast. We dont know exactly what area is going to get hit the hardest, but some area from new england down to virginia is likely to get hit really hard with this towards the end of the week and into the weekend. Isolated showers with fog late tonight. 67 for the low in philadelphia. During the day tomorrow, warm and humid, showers around. Much more activity at night. We all remember Brian Westbrooks miracle at the meadowlands 12 years ago that saved that birds season. Maybe Darren Sproles return yesterday will be thought of in the same way. Biggest play of the game, Darren Sproles has the most returned touchdowns in the nfl since he joined the eagles yesterday. Malcolm jenkins was his teammate in new orleans, too, and told us hes not surprised sproles keeps doing this. Its a walk through, he catches the ball on the punt and hes full speed. Hes in his head going through making guys miss, so when uh yo see him in a game, its the same exact thing. Its not surprising to us. Only a couple things guaranteed in this league and one is hes going to make the first person miss and if you block everybody else, youre going to score. Malcolm is right.
