County, what is the latest. Reporter we got here in the past 25 minutes and that is the closest we could get to the scene. Two miles north of the accident and it is shut down at route 49. We were over route 55 in millville, cumberland county, where you could see two heff illy damaged cars. New Jersey State Police confirm one of the troopers was involved in a deadly crash with another vehicle. Now the mangled wreckage is located about two miles south of route 49 in millville and the crash happened around 7 30 in the northbound lanes. The road continues to be shut down as investigators continue to monitor what happened in this crash. And a woman did die in the other vehicle. Now the trooper was flown to Cooper Medical Center and is fighting for his life and listed in Critical Condition. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and it is unclear how long it will take before this road, route 55, reopens. Live in millville, nbc 10 news. So dry for the start of the day, but then later in the afternoon, the rain you see down to the south, that is going to be moving in. So that will be around lunchtime. And for the evening commute and parts of the area could see some snow showers. So through the overnight hours, temperatures dropping into the 30s. It is going to be a chilly but dry start to your morning. Many areas in about the mid to low 30s tomorrow morning. Allentown 32, philadelphia 36. But you notice the clouds. Then the rain starts across the area early afternoon. And if you are in the poconos, youll be seeing snow falling most likely and at cumulation could be a few inches. Coming up, the closer look at the timing on that and a blast of cold air before the weekend. To an nbc 10 exclusive, parents say racial tensions are boiling over in a local school. This video shows some of the violence at Woodrow Wilson high school in camden. A parent said her child was beaten because he didnt speak english well. And tonight the school held a closed door meeting. Nbc 10s Brandon Hudson reports. Reporter our nbc 10 camera wasnt allowed inside of the high school for the meeting but it was to discuss the numerous fights going on on campus, including some at this park across the street. This cell phone video shared with nbc 10 is one of the reasons frustrated parents want security changes at Woodrow Wilson high school. One of the students getting punched several time is janet riveras 15yearold son. We spoke to her through a translator. He was punched so hard that he lost consciousness for about an hour. Reporter here are photos of the aftermath. Bruises and cuts over the students eye. Parents say the fights are common. Kids that dont speak english well are targeted. That is correct. It led to a letter sent from the principal to parents who met with school staff and Camden County police. The School District superintendent says they are in creasing security on and around campus. We were told that these attacks may appear racially motivated. We do understand that it is falling across racial and ethnic lines. Reporter the superintendent told us they will have more meetings with parents until this issue is resolved. This is a teachable moment and an opportunity to come together as a community. There needs to be some kind of firm message that if you create violence, there will be consequences. A district spokesperson said theyve added a family coordinator and a dean of climate and culture to help with student relations. Im Brandon Hudson, nbc 10 news. New at 11 00, a teenager in Critical Condition after he was robbed and shot in a philadelphia park. Police say the 17yearold was just sitting in the pavilion area in germantown and a man with a gun walked up and robbed him of the cell phone and shot him in the head. Victim was able to make it across the street where a passerby called police. But the gunman remains on the loose tonight. New at 11 00, Authorities Say theyve stepped up security on los angeles Commuter Rail system after a report that an attack is planned for tomorrow. Officials say that threat came today through an anonymous phone call to a Public Safety line and the caller indicating that something would happen at the metro red line station in universal city. Authorities are looking into the credibility of that threat right now. A major setback for bill cosby and his up coming Sexual Assault trial. Today a judge ruled he will allow the jury to hear testimony from a 2005 deposition. In that deposition he admitted to giving someone drugs at his home. His lawyers argued that he only testified after being promised immunity by the District Attorney at the time but the judge said there was no legal agreement of immunity. Nbc 10 news has reached out to his defense team and as not gotten a response just yet. To the president ial transition, donald trump has tapped ben carson to be his secretary of the department of housing and urban development. Mr. Trump and carson were rivals in the republican primary race but once carson dropped out, he endorsed mr. Trump. The president elect broke the news on twitter, calling the retired surgeon, quote, brilliant. But nancy pelosi called carson, a quote, disturbingly unqualified choice. Mr. Trump also had an unexpected meeting today with former Vice President al gore. They meet here at trump tower for what gore called an extremely interesting conversation. He was originally only scheduled to meet with ivanka to discuss climate change. Concerns about president elect trump support for the Dakota Access pipeline have prompted more protests in north dakota. Thousands marched in blizzard conditions to make their voices heard. Just yesterday they were celebrating after the federal government ruled against the controversial project, but today there trump reiterated support for the project prompting fears that hell overturn yesterdays ruling. Pennsylvanias recount push continued today with a federal lawsuit. It is asking for a second look at the election results. Green Party Candidate jill stein is behind the effort. The lawsuit claims pennsylvanias election system is a National Disgrace and calls Voting Machines in the tate vulnerable and hackable. But attorneys arent arguing that any hacking did happen on Voting Machines, rather that it could. Citizens have a right to know are those machines hacked or not. So lets get inside of them. It is easy. A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Republican party said it looked forward to the dismissal of these absurd claims, in their words. Today we also learned that philadelphias recount resulted in a minor change. It gave Hillary Clinton only five more votes in the city. South carolinas governor is calling for calm tonight following a mistrial in the Michael Slager case. He is the white former Police Officer caught on video shooting walter scott, an unarmed block man in the back. The jury deliberated for more than 23 hours but cant reach a unanimous decision about the killing. The civil settlement already settled but said this is only round one. In my heart, i will find the peace to forgive him for doing that, what hes done to my brother. But at this present time, until my family can see justice, no. There is no forgiveness. It is not clear whether press conferences will seek a retrial. New at 11 00, a car on fire in philadelphia. You could see the flames shooting from what was a 2007 lexus. It was found burning in the 7300 block of shisler street in the northeast and police are examining surveillance from a nearby business that appears to show a person throwing something into that car moments before it caught fire. And here is some video that might have you solve a brutal robbery. The search is on for a pair of robbers who terrorized that laundromat worker during a heist in delaware county. The thieves burst into the laundromat around 4 00 this morning. You see them as one of the them holds the woman down and the other stuffs dollar bills in her pockets and they think one is a woman who spills trays of quarters and struggles to pick them up, right there. Two, what i call urban terrorists come in, they have ski masks on, some type of ca camouflage and one has a gun. One removed gloves giving them evidence to work with, probably fingerprints left behind. Authorities announce they do not believe additional bodies will be found in the oakland warehouse fire. The body of 36 people were found buried under ash and rubble. In addition to victims, crews are looking for evidence. Jack yost owns the property and his kids get to share. They are l. E. D. Lights and they dont draw that much power so it runs about 2,500 for the season, maybe a little more. But the rain is going to hold off until around lunchtime. There is all of the rain now. It is down to the south and west. It will be moving in. Again around lunchtime tomorrow. But some of it could be a little heavy at times, right now heavy gulf moisture down to the south. Here is future weather. So overnight were going to stay dry. Clouds increasing across the area by 8 30 in the morning but still fairly dry. The rain not here just yet but here closer to lunchtime. There is 1 30, south jersey and delaware dealing with the rain by 1 30 and continues to spread across the area and by 6 00 p. M. Snow in the poconos so that is one thing that the models is consistent with, the snow falling in the poconos, could see about three inches or maybe a little bit more depending on how long it lasts. Now we do have enough moisture at least for carbon and Monroe County to see that continuing into tomorrow evening and the rest of the area expecting rain by 10 00 p. M. And then it tapers off overnight and the morning commute on wednesday does look dry and then more in the way of sunshine wednesday afternoon before our next weather system approaches on thursday. So for tomorrow, it is going to be a rainy, cold day. 48 degrees. If you are in [ inaudible ], 43. Allen toup around 40. If you are in robbinsville, 47 degrees and avalon 50 and in dover temperatures topping out around 47 degrees. So tomorrow, were going to be in the 40s. And wednesday mid50s. So a little bit of a rebound. By thursday we drop to the mid40s. By friday huge drop into the upper 30s. Here is a look at future air masses. There is the arctic air. It arrives on friday.
