Oil samples found by an indonesian helicopter will be collected and analyzed. The chopper spotted them about 37 miles from where airtraffic controllers lost contact with that plane. A different search teemam found some objects in waters 700 miles away. Officials arent sure if the discoveries are connected to the missing plane. They vow to continue the search despite bad weather. A search for answers in the death of a 10yearold boy in Gloucester County last night. He was struck and killed by a Police Officer heading to a service call. This accident happened at delsea drive and elmer street in franklin township. Witnesses say the child was with two other boys looking at Christmas Decorations in her yard before the accident. Philadelphia Police Investigating whether the victim of a hit and run could have been running from an armed robbery. The man was hit around 12 30 yesterday morning on whitaker avenue in feltonville. Police say a 9yearold boy called a relative and said a man inside the home had attempted suicide. That relative quickly called police and when authorities arrived, they found those four bodies. This video tour shows theres no fresh food only freeze dried, no showers after workouts to save water. No facetoface contact with the outside world, and email is delayed 20 minutes like it would be on mars. To step outside they have to be fully suited just like they would be if they were on the planet mars. Kind of want to be astronauts when we grow up so this is maybe as close as we can get. The project simulates a realman mission to the red planet. Nasa hopes to have astronauts there in the 2030s. It will be six months to mars 500 days on the planet and another 6 months journey back to oert. If you call for a taxi in one russian city you may get taken for a ride in an unusual cab. They have transformed a combat vehicle into a taxi. The head of the company says the vehicles popularity is growing. It may not be easy for women and the elderly to get in and out of it. The radar nice and dry for philadelphia. The showers are now to the south. It was only rain overnight. It was too warm for anything else. Now that activity is pushing offshore. High pressure moving in will keep us dry for days until we get to the weekend. And with the High Pressure moving in it will slowly clear things out. Satellite showing some scattered clouds north and west. More cloudiness over south jersey and delaware but that changes after the new year. Celebrations should be dry. But sunday even though well get a dry start in the morning 7 00 in the morning, by late in the day theres a possibility of first rain and then snow. 4 00 in the afternoon a chance of some rain in delaware and south jersey and into pennsylvania, but theres colder air thats going to be moving in with the system if it stays acovereda according to plan. By 11 00 we could be looking at snow on the ground. A lot can happen between now and then. Well be watching that potential storm for late in the weekend. For today, partly sunny, cooler than over the weekend. High temperatures in the 40s this afternoon with those steady northerly winds up to 10 miles an hour. The cold really comes in tomorrow. You will feel the difference tomorrow morning. 20s and 30s to start with and just 40 degrees tomorrow afternoon. So most of the day tuesday will be in the 30s. Then its colder for the end of the year and the beginning of the year. Middle 30s wednesday afternoon after morning low temperature of 27 degrees. Back in the 20s as we ring in the new year on thursday. A high of 38 degrees and the wind will be blowing on thursday. So its going to actually feel colder than wednesday. Temperatures moderate a bit for friday. 40 degrees, up to 45 on saturday. But clouds will be building over the weekend and then late on sunday and into monday a chance of first rain, then possibly snow. Well be right back. Police unions have criticized de blasio as being too imp sympathetic to police critics. Crews in california are getting ready for the tournament of roses parade. It took him more than seven months, but a rhode island man has completed a Cross Country bike ride to benefit the make a wish foundation.
