A gunman shot a 20yearold the stomach on the 2400 block of harold street. No word on what sparked the shooting. Authorities are investigating the death of a student at Millersville University. A University Spokesperson says the student was found dead in a dorm room this weekend. They havent released the students identity but an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. The university is making counseling staff available on campus for students. An alert about a potential case of measles in lancaster county. The Pennsylvania Department of health issued a warning, saying a person suspected of having the disease may have exposed others at several locations in the past week. Officials say the person attended a basketball game at Millersville University this past saturday. This was a suspected case. And the blood test that confirm whether someone has had the illness or not was equivocal. So the samples are now at the cdc. Students enrolled at Millersville University are required to have two measles vaccinations. And this morning Public Health officials confirm a teenager in Montgomery County does not have the measles. The Health Department announced the suspected case this past week. The teenager was isolated at home while doctors waited for test results. A potential buyer for atlantic citys former Revel Casino Hotel says he is back in the game after threatening to scrap the deal. The attorney for glen straub says the developer has agreed to wait a while to get that deal done. The florida developer has agreed to extend the close date for his 95. 4 million purchase of revel. The breakin happened just before 2 30 this morning on brookshire terrace in northeast philadelphia. Police say the thieves kicked in the door and robbed the victims at gunpoint. Massey was walking to a friends house in the overbrook neighborhood of philadelphia when garcia allegedly tried to steal his headphones. Massey refused to hand them over and was shot several times. Police are searching for the hitandrun driver who struck a pedestrian in atlantic county. Investigator says a driver hit a man walking on the shoulder of route 9 near ocean avenue and galloway township. It happened just before 5 30 last night. The victim suffered upper body and head injuries. Now police are looking for a 2008 to 2010 white ford fusion or Mercury Milan with a missing passenger side view mirror. The car may also have additional damage along the passenger side. A philadelphia judge is expected to approve a 1 billion settlement against the nfl this week. The settlement will resolve thousands of lawsuits that accuse the nfl of hiding what it knew about concussion and their link to neurological problems. For right now we are seeing a mix mainly confined to the poconos. But as we go through tonight, heading into early tomorrow well start to see more of that moisture sagging to the south. And thats why we have that advisory that will stay in effect until tuesday morning. So our future weather shows us that, again, by 7 00 a. M. Some 50 million drivers use waze to help them avoid everything from snarled traffic to bad Road Conditions. One of the app features has some on Law Enforcement sounding the alarm. They claim it could be used to track police and as a result pose as a real danger. Nbcs Gabe Gutierrez has more. Reporter its the app millions of drivers use to avoid traffic jams. But now waze is also helping them spot speed traps and police officers. It does scare me. Reporter John Thompson is with the National Sheriffs association. Why give anyone a tool to violate the law . Why give anybody a tool to put officers at risk. It just doesnt make sense. Reporter critics dont blame the entire app, just one feature, the one that allows drivers to post where officers are, and allows other drivers to find them easily. We tried it ourselves, and sure enough, within minutes, we found that Police Cruiser right where the app said it would be. That feature has even prompted the police chief in los angeles to write a letter to the ceo of google, wazes owner, asking for changes. While investigators have not directly tied the app to any assaults on officers tensions are high after two new york city cops were ambushed and killed in december. But Civil Liberties advocates say people should be able to alert other drivers about what officers are doing in public. This is a persontoperson conversation that is being facilitated by a new technology that this is free speech and that is a fundamental right. Reporter for its part waze says users cant stalk officers using the app. We think very deeply about safety and security and work in partnership with Police Departments all over the world. Indeed, some Law Enforcement agencies think the locator feature is a good idea and can be a deterrent for bad drivers. It might encourage them to gain compliance slow down drive in a safer manner. Thats going to last throughout most of your monday and will clear up heading into tuesday. Then we get ready for a cold blast, thursday night heading into friday. Really, a blast of arctic air. Temperatures are going to be well below average. Right now a closer look at the foggy conditions. The visibility is down to close to a mile for philadelphia doylestown stretching out the mount holly and parts of toms river and atlantic city. Our current temperature just below freezing in the poconos. Were at 35 degrees in allentown. 34 in pottstown. Mid 30s in west chester. Temperatures in wilmington at 38 degrees. So we were above average today. Our high at 51. Now as we head into the rest of tonight, our temperatures will stay a little bit above average. But thats going to end as we head into tomorrow. And our temperatures are going to stay into the mid30s. Thats pretty close to freezing especially as we get into the afternoon where temperatures will start to drop. So whatever precipitation we have we could see freezing rain especially as we head into your evening commute. So all the areas here highlighted in purple under a Winter Weather advisory until 6 00 a. M. On tuesday. And what were expecting is light rain also wintry mix possible, especially as our temperatures start to drop close to freezing and below freezing. But our satellite radar shows that were seeing most of this sleet very light, and its mainly confined to the poconos. As we go into the rest of tonight, we could see more of this precipitation drifting to the south. It is going to take a little while. But by the time you wake up tomorrow morning closer to 7 00 8 00. As of right now, most of the precipitation will be confined to the Lehigh Valley and into the poconos. But as we head into your late morning hours, youll notice most of this moisture starts to head to the south. And when it does, that could make for tricky conditions if youre driving around by 1 00 p. M. Near allentown and some of our suburbs. All the areas highlighted in purple i just showed you do run the risk of seeing freezing rain and really light rainfall and also sleet as we head into tomorrow built. 6 00 p. M. , youll notice a little more widespread. And our best chance to see any type of accumulating snow will be closer to the poconos and Lehigh Valley. If we start to see on the back end a little more snow its only going to be an inch or two mainly confined to the poconos. Everywhere else were only expecting to see a tenth of an inch to maybe a quarter inch of rain, or mixed precipitation. But again the main concern, the slick spots. As we head into tavern our temperatures will get pretty close to freezing. Any light precipitation could freeze and glaze over. By 8 00 a. M. 31 degrees in philadelphia. 30 degrees in trenton.
