Police have arrested a former School Employee who they say sexually assaulted a student multiple times at the school and home. These disturbing allegations are not what you would expect coming out of any school, but especially upper gwynedd school, a private school in the area. This took place between hes accused of findling, kissing and touching. He worked at the Academy Elementary schools i. T. Department until february of this year. The alleged relationship began a few months before that and started with Inappropriate Text Messages between the two and continued to physical contact, both at the school, inside fortes i. T. Office and once at the victims home. Coming up in the next half hour youll see some of the Text Messages that were exchanged between the victim and the suspect, marcus forte. Discrimination by a former Philadelphia School superintendent will cost the school more than 2 million. The late Arlene Ackerman unfairly steered a nobid contract to a minority owned firm. That firm sued over a contract involving surveillance cameras. Ackerman died in 2013. Three years earlier said she was sick of giving the districts work to contractors who did not look like her. Atlantic City Residents will get a chance to weigh in on the citys Financial Recovery plan. Mayor don guardian and City Council Members will hold a Public Meeting tonight at 6 00. Theyre expecting to have an update on the plan to fix the citys budget before the state gives in. So far the city has said it wilc drum up cash by selling off property and raising fees for permits. Casino workers in Atlantic City could go on strike this friday. Five of the citys eight gaming houses would be affected by the walkout. The workers want compensation for past givebacks. Observers say picketing would hurt both Union Workers and the casinos. Consumer advocate Erin Brockovich is holding a Community Meeting in horsham to talk about the next step for neighbors impacted by tainted drunking water. We have new information on a north jersey child that police say was accidentally shot to death by his older brother. A single bullet killed this 4yearold boy in east orange on saturday. Police say his 6yearold brother found a gun in their mothers purse and he pulled the trigger. A nearby Baptist Church will pay for the childs funeral. Were not members of the church but they are members of our commune. We always said were a community church. Were there to help them in any way we can. Weve also learned from officials the gun belonged to the mother but she did not have a permit. A child was shot to death inside a home on 20th street last thursday. Police say she found a gun in a closet and shot herself in the face. The girls mother is charged with third degree murder. Police issued an arrest warn the for her boyfriend who faces Involuntary Manslaughter and other charges. A Folcroft Police officer shot seven times is recovering at home this morning. Squad cars from across Delaware County followed officer Christopher Dorman from the hospital to Folcroft Fire Company yesterday. The 25yearold has volunteered there since he was a teenager. Hes not talking specifically about the shooting but he says hes grateful for all the support hesc received. He was the alleghenys mvp in 95. He led the flyers with stanley cup final in 97. Had a bitter feud with fellow flyers ledge end bobby clark but his career ended because of concussions. John clark asked lindros what it meant to him. I think when its all said and done, everyone wanted to win. That was the main focus on it. Certainly there were times of friction, but to have bobs voice and support.
