travels. megan, back to you. 6:01 fox 45 morning news. he admitted he tried to have sex with a minor. now former middle river soccer coach charles frido will be sentenced today. the 33 years old was sending sexually explicit text messages to a 14 years old and asked her to send some to him. he didn't know who else was reading those messages. detectives say they were contacted last summer by the victim's parents who saw the messages that were sent to their daughter. the 14 years old is the sister of one of frido's players. he requested the graphic pictures from her, and asked her to meet for sex. they set up a meeting and arrested him at i convenient store. >> this is a soccer coach whose parents entrust. he has breached their trust and now we're concerned that more victims are out there. since he was arrested last summer, police have not reported anymore allegations but they're asking anyone who had inappropriate contact with frido to contact the baltimore county pleas department. a cult leader responsible for the death of one-year-old boy will spend by years behind bars. queen a antoinette was sentenced in court yesterday and told the judge she was not sorry or guilty. three cult members starved the one years old for not saying amen before meals. the baby's grandmother want a harsher sentence his her grandson was sentenced to death. >> if you kill a baby and say i did daughter. a baltimore county church was broken but parishoners say through little divine intervention their prayers were answered. on saturday night, thieves stole church papers, the computer and even the band equipment from the calvary church. it even forced the pastor to deliver his message outdoors that day. two police officers noticed three men outside of a pawnshop waiting to open. in their vehicle the stolen items from the church. the three men are charged with burglary at the detention center. a florida man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the brutal stabbing of a baltimore county woman. she was stabbed more than 60 times on thanksgiving day. rex wesley was sentenced yesterday for killing donna jean brown. in 2008 brown was found by her stepmother inside of this randallstown home. the judge said the public would never be safe if rex was set free. a man a indicted for allegedly strangling his cell mate. christopher white is facing first-degree murder charges in the death of cleerance myers junior. myers was sentenced and facing charges for having the girl's mother killed while behind bars. a towson psychiatrist loses his license for allegedly having inappropriate contact with young children. after an independent investigation, state board of physicians found that miguel frontera acted inappropriately with about a dozen preteen boys there in hhs care. the investigate results have been passed on to baltimore county authorities for a possible criminal investigation. frontera denies any wrongdoing. doctors in maryland voice their dissatisfaction with insurance companies. med kai the medical society released results of survey yesterday. doctors is said that the protocol has a negative effect on their ability to treat patients. and 45% say that insurance deny medication or necessary tests. we will talk with med kai ceo of about what the results of the survey mean for your medicare. that is coming up later this hour. it will high in the eastern shore today. can't rule out a shower chance with a northwest wind at 5-10 miles per hour. the central part of the state, mostly cloudy as well but warmer than yesterday, 66, 69 degrees, northwest wind at 5-10 miles per hour. further points west, looking for a high temperature of 68 degrees with a chance of a shower. tonight 54, mostly cloudy skies, it turns partly cloudy through whitemarsh and at 61 miles per hour on the 95 right at 395. there's, however, trouble in westminister this morning, a crash near mcdaniel college completely shutdown route 31 at route 140. you will want to use western maryland college drive as the alternate route. now once you get past all of that, right near 795, let's check it out this morning moving at cockeys mill. you will see that is favorable conditions, northbound and southbound lanes, that's the scenario all the way down toward the beltway. on the beltway so far so good. as far as incidents are concerned, but let's check in on the volume moving right at 70. can you see it's definitely increasing very quickly there on the outer loop lanes. buu then, a little bit farther down at frederick road, let's check it out there because the traffic is flowing freely and that continues to be the case. so it does ease up once you finally do hit the frederick road area and eventually toward 95. that's a look at the morning >> who is coming next? >> who is coming next with the traffic? >> candace. >> yeah, with the what? >> candace with the traffic. >> that's what i'm talkinn about. thank you, nicholas. very good job and of course i like the ravens shirt. all right, well, you're going to like what we have to talk about out on the roadways this morning. we are checking in on 895 scooting through the harbor tunnel. you can see there's nothing to impede the commute on either the northbound or the southbound stretch. and that is pretty much the same deal on 95 as well. those southbound lanes taking it from the fort mack henry tunnel toward the beltway an 8 minute clip, 55 miles per hour. as for the beltway, we're in the green from 95 up toward 83, 11 minutes at 54 miles per hour and the same speed with only an 8--inute drive from 83 up toward 795. that's a look at your morning travels, megan, back over to you. thank you be candace. 6:32 on fox 45 morning news. it is sentencing day for a former middle river soccer coach who admitted he tried to have sex way 14 years old girl. the state's attorney for baltimore county personally prosecuted 33 years old charles frido. he is expected to have the judge sentence him to jail time. he pled guilty to one count of solicitation of a minor. police say they were contacted by the victim's parents who saw the inappropriate text messages that were sent to their daughter. frido requested unappropriate ie pictures from her and asked to set up a meeting. they assumed her identity and set up a meeting at a convenient store. >> parents do need to have a grasp of what their kids are doing, in school, in sports, any of that. >> baltimore county police are asking anyone who had inappropriate contact with frido to contact them right away. the family of a man found dead in patapsco state park is now pleading for help finding his killer. the body of matthew martin was found this weekend in a shallow grave in a wooded area in the anne arundel county park. he had been missing for more than a month. martin's family is hoping that someone will come forward with information about who is responsible for his death. >> when you see a missing person sign take a minute, read it, because you might know something. you might not think it's important, but it is and if you can do that, if you don't know something, say a little prayer because they need it. this is devastating to the a family. >> his family says that martin was an avid baseball player who played at mountain high school and college. a jury returns a guilty verdict in the case of a man accused of killing a baltimore county homeowner. prosecutors say last october, james tanner tried to rob this home here in tte up scale granite community. he hit at lamont blackston. while the family was forced to come up with cash and valuable. tanner shot blackston in the back of the head when the family couldn't meet his demands. tanner now faces life without parole. a grand jury in an gale ally county returned the indictment against hall. hall from glen burnie is accused of fatally shooting brandon carol. another student was also hurt in that incident. hall and hart reg ma ridge may e been dating the same woman. someone threw tacks right on the racecourse and look at what happened, a wipe out. it happened during the race at leonard's town on sunday. this video was captured by one the competitors who was wearing a camera on his helmet during the race. it shows a group of competitors hitting the tacks and tumble on to the ground. steve, watth again in low commotion. bryan vaughn the cyclist who shot the video said they were traveling 25 to 30 miles an hour when they hit the tacks. about 45 cyclists suffered cuts and scratches and another one broke the collar intone. bone. whoever is responsible for spreading the tacks could face criminal charges. ehrlich says the state cannot afford the red line project which would create rail line running from woodlawn to john hopkins bay view. the same goes for the purple line project intended to connect montgomery and prince george's county. ehrlich supports expanded bus service instead. many adults list public speaking as their number one fear even above dying. imagine having 8 minutes to give a presentation could result in millions of dollars? insurance companies bureaucrats are making decisions that if a test is necessary or a procedure they should be able to order it and do it. the silly procedures are denying patients the ability to get morning, every day there seems to be a new development on the oil spill in the gulf of mexico. there's optimism here in washington that in fact, the leak lab capped. that is coming from interior secretary kent sals cza salazart the possibility of mud being injected to the leak could close it up for good. he is trying to anticipate some kind of resolution coming up in the next few days. he says that the efforts to tie enregulation -- tie tie 10 tighs in the oil industry. and tar balls are beginning to surface in other beaches along the florida keys and despite the coast guards efforts to try to contain the massive oil spill along the top surface later of the water, still these tar balls are approaching the shore and being found. have a listen. >> tar balls are normal. i mean that happens from that coming up, and i grew up as a kid, and they will go into the beach. so they're normal and now folks are outlooking for them and so they're going to find them. >> reporter: these new tar balls are being found and tested in laboratories. these samples should come back by the end of the week. interesting to note. as hurricane season approaches starting june first, scientists say that the amount of oil mixed into the water could make the impact of these hurricanes less severe. so an interesting side note, but again everything is just speculation at this point. we will see what happens in terms of how this oil slick affects the environment. megan? >> lawmakers want bp to pay up and they want to raise the liability cap to exceed the current $75 million. so what is bp saying about all of that? >> very interesting argument and a big fight going on at capitol hill. lawmakers want to increase the liability cap which is $75 million to $10 billion. and bp for its part is and calm on 895 this the southbound lanes from the harbor tunnel toward 95, a 9-minute drive, 54 miles per hour there. and only 47 miles per hour with a 13 minute clip from 95 up toward 83 taking the soccer coach who admitted he tried to have sex with a 14 years old girl. the state's attorney for baltimore county personally prosecuted 33 years old charles frido. he is expected to ask the judge to sentence him to jail time. he plead guilty to one count of sexual solicitation of a minor after being caught last summer by undercover detectives. police say they were contacted by the victim's parents who saw the inappropriate text messages sent to their daughter. he requested graphic pictures from her and even asked to meet her for sex. undercover detectives set up a meeting and arrested him at a convenient store. >> parents need to know what the kids are doing in school and sports. >> police are asking anyone who had inappropriate contact with frido to contact them right away. the family of a man found dead in patapsco state park is pleading for help to try to finned his killer. the body was found in a shallow grave in the wooded area of the anne arundel county park. he had been missing for more than a month. the family is hoping that someone will come forward with information about who is responsible for his death. >> when you see a missing person's sign, take a minute, having inappropriate contact with young children. after an independent investigation the state board of physicians found miguel frontera acted improperly with about a dozen preteen boys in his care. the investigation results have been passed on to baltimore county authorities for possible criminal investigation. frontera denies any wrongdoing. doctors in maryland voice theii dissatisffction with insurance companies. med cai the american medical society release the the survey results yesterday. they said that insurance protocols have a negative effect on their ability to treat their patient.
