we begin with breaking news at this hour. a teenager has been shot and rushed to the hospital in delaware county. it happened at 9:00 in the city of chester. and police believe it may have been an accident. jeff jericho is live now where the wounded teenager is now being treated. reporter: hi rick, that 15 or 16-year-old victim was shot in or near the chest but is expected to survive. chopper 6 hd as over the hospital this morning shortly after the teen arrived. we were told that he was alert and talking. now, the shooting happened on the 2100 block of west 9th street near engel street. a city official tells action news that the group of teens were in the backyard of a home and were either displaying or playing with a gun when it went off injuring one. at this point it appears to have been accidental. now police are questioning witnesses to figure out what happens. here at the hospital there is no official word on the victim s condition but we are told he is expecte ....
