emerges from the haiti coast. forecasters expect isaac to move over cuba today and become a hurricane tomorrow. the storm brought heavy rain to haiti and dominican republic, warnings have been issued for the florida keys, west coast of florida from bonita beach southward and florida bay. as isaac makes its way towards the gulf coast, folks up and down the east coast marking the one-year good morning. starting you off with a live look from the skycam. clouds are really building in, currently 77 degrees downtown. 74 at b.w.i. thurgood marshall. humidity 79%, winds northeast 8 miles per hour. we will see winds increase as a storm system makes its way here and as you look at h.d. doppler, it's on the door step. light rain making its way to annapolis so much of southern maryland all the way down to st. mary's county experiencing light rain. heavier rain off of ocean city, all this coming from the south. let's take a wider look at the radar. this starts at 11:00 last night, heavy rain over the outer banks and continued to build into virginia. that's what we are dealing with right now, soaking rain moving through richmond. we may not get the heaviest of the rain but we are likely to get quite a bit. winds picking up, 5 to 10 miles per hour across baltimore metro but 21 mile-per-hour wind gusts in ocean city and also in saint amar'e's county. we are seeing the storm system track up the coast, helping to increase winds especially as we have high pressure in new england. these are competing so you get air flow in between that, the pressure gradient helping to increase winds, that's why we will have a strong easterly flow today. big concern for the beaches as it increases the chances of rip current so high risk in ocean city, including delaware beaches, also all the way down to virginia, as well. ocean city in the low 80's the next a couple of days. 60% chance for rain today, 30% tomorrow. today likely the wettest day at the beach. keeping an eye on tropical storm isaac, winds sustained at 60 hour, a rough night in haiti with all the rain and strong winds. cuba is next in isaac's path, then the storm heads for the keys and this is the problem area, warm waters right here so isaac likely to strengthen into a hurricane when it could move into the gulf of mexico as it makes landfall somewhere between the florida panhandle and alabama. cloudy into the afternoon in highs upper 70's, low 80's. winds east five to 10 miles per hour. northeast winds 1010 -- tonight, 10 to 15 miles per hour. showers become more spotty tomorrow, so tomorrow may be a drier day but still expecting a little bit of rain. scattered rain chances monday and tuesday and drying out by the end of the week. >> good oral health is important especially for pregnant treat me while i'm pregnant. that's an issue? >> we get that frequently and i'll write a note to the dentist and say you can pull the teeth, you can fill the cavity and clear the abscess. it's really important that they do that, though. >> it's important that you go into that pregnancy with healthy gums. >> if you're having dental issues prior to pregnancy, get it taken care of immediately. >> if it happens while you're pregnant, there's no reason you cannot get the care you need. >> correct. so, yes, you should be able to get the care you need from a dentist at any time point in time. >> when Ãúñ >> welcome back. supernatural scientists think unhappy thoughts in the apparition. college researchers test the theory that ghosts exist only if you believe in them and conjure a cranky demon that torments on a young couple. that's one of the new movies in theaters this weekend. our movie critic is here with reviews. >> that looks scary. that one clip, i don't want to go to bed tonight. >> i'm too scared! you didn't see that but you did see "premium rush"? >> i saw "premium rush" about a bike messenger and a bike messenger in manhattan which has to be the craziest place in the world and what i love about this character is that he has a law degree, played by joseph gordon levitt but doesn't want to be the guy in the gray suit behind the desk. he has a need for speed and loves bobbing and weaving in the traffic. they actually show his mental process where he sort of at a critical point where he could make any of three different turns and his mind calculates the risk. if i go that way, i hit the baby carriage, if i go that way, the car door hits me but if i snake through right there, i can go. he has no brakes on his bike because he feels like when you stop is when you die. this is the character. he gets a package that is illegal and suddenly people are chasing him including mike shannon who plays a crooked cop and that's baseball -- basically the film. i loved the chase scenes. normally i find chase scenes been there, done that. with this, you see him zipping through traffic and he's about to get hit and does get hit and it's an adrenaline rush. they're going for the adrenaline rush. the plot is ok. it's serviceable. you needed to have a story. joseph gordon levitt is credible, like a bullet on that bike. shannon plays a great twitchy bad guy. it's an entertaining film, an adrenaline rush, three stars for "premium rush." >> and next you saw "hit and run." >> i saw "hit and run" and i'm not the first critic to say this and won't be the last, it's very hit and miss. it definitely has laughs but it seems to be so amused with itself, starring dax shepard and kristen bell who are a real life couple and dax shepard wrote it and co-directed it so he plays a guy in the witness protection program and kristen bell is his girlfriend. she thinks she was just a witness, not a criminal. now they're on the run together. the thing is, i like the relationship between the main couple. they're constantly sniping at each other and i think they think it's realistic, cute or adorable but it's almost a little on the sour side. sort of bradley cooper shows up with the dreadlocks but it's not how we like bradley cooper. i got the sense that they had an amazing time nagy -- making it but we didn't enjoy watching it as much. two stars for "hit and run." >> we have a lot to look forward to. you can read her reviews at baltimoremagazine.net. eddies from rolland park in the 11 news kitchen next. >> welcome back, stan levy from eddie's of rolland park joins us. we are talking fresh local produce. >> local produce. it's the time of the year when the gardens are full. in maryland we have corn and zucchini. that's a plate of vegetables, salt and pepper, lightly on the grill, smoky taste to them. brings sugars out in them, caramelizes them. >> are you preparing them right on the grill? >> real hot grill, make sure the grill is clean. i like to take a wet towel or paper towel and wipe off the black dust that gets after you blacken. >> you don't -- >> if your grill is clean and hot, on and off real quick. taking a tomato and charred it, blacken the skin on the outside and making salsa, nice smoky rich taste. variation. that's different. >> this we've got zucchini on that plate. a couple of ways we made zucchini bread with walnuts, quick bread without yeast. grate up zucchini, sugar, eggs, flour and cinnamon, put them together, bake it off. a peach barbecue sauce, molasses, sugar, vinegar. probably half fresh peaches, cooked it down, pured it, grilled chicken. there's sugars but no added fat. this table we've taken patty pan squash or white squash, mixed with tomatoes, hand grated it with onion, corn meal. it's like the potato latke but with squash. on top of that, a tomato chutney, we've taken tomato, onion, curry powder, cooked it down together, sweet savory topping for cakes and corn pudding. the chutney would go really well on the corn pudding, egg whites, a little bit of cream. this is my favorite from the my childhood, a cold cucumber soup, half cucumbers, thickened chicken stock. when i was a boy, my mother let me take a can of campbell's soup and put it in the blender and grind it up. this is zucchini angel hair, a salad, i've taken local zucchinis, called a mandolin, a french kitchen tool that makes long strips of zucchini like pasta. you can take the inside, grate it up, make cakes or whatever you'd like. local tomato, chopped up, put that in. a little fresh mozzarella, not local, sure does taste good. >> what if i don't have the mandolin? >> you can cut it, in the food processor. >> finishing that up, ava? >> seven-day, rain moving, in temperatures near 80 degrees later today, best chance for rain this afternoon and evening. scattered showers into tomorrow and we start to dry out the early part of next week. >> that looks delicious. olives. >> fresh mozzarella, salt, pepper, extra virgin olive oil and there you have it. >> all of this is available at eddie's today. >> give us a call. thank you. >> thank you for joining us, everybody. >> we will see you back on the air tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m. captioned by the national captioning institute ---www.ncicap.org---
