Flood warnings remain in effect in parts of frederick and montgomery county. Southern pennsylvania, look out for those flooded areas. The wind advisory has come down. We still have a gust of 40 miles an hour at the airport. That cost is bringing in the cold and maybe some snow. We will check on that a little bit. This just in, and other crash tonight in Baltimore County. All lanes of the inner loop are shut down between the river and 895. That is causing a back up all the way back to interstate 97. The words of a High School Shooting suspect could impact his efforts to have his case moved to a juvenile court. Hours after gunfire, police interviewed the suspects accused of bringing a shotgun to the campus and shooting him in the cafeteria. Prosecutors are using his words to show he planned an attack and prove to a judge the trial should be in the adult system. The attorney objected to prosecutors to play portions of an Interview Police conducted with him. And recorded phone in Detention Center of in it visits in conversations in which to talk about the shooting, which wounded a special needs child. The defense claimed it was not fair and the statements would be taken out of context. We tried to get to the root of ed reed. We know he is a great Football Player but we do not know much about his personal life and how hard he worked to get here. He went back to louisiana, half an hour from here. We spoke to some of his coaches and his mother. To really know who ed reed is, you have to go where it all started for the future hall of famer, this high school, just outside new orleans. Things were not always easy. His mother told that she and her father raced him and his Four Brothers in a onebedroom house. She considers the day he was drafted a blessing from above. Raising five kids was hard. When he went to the nfl, that was it right there. With my five kids i was in a onebedroom house. Just like the kitchen and bathroom and the bedroom. He was an all state Football Player and also played basketball, baseball, and ran track. Someone said the road to his success was tougher than the one to the nfl. A small kid but he was not self directed. He needed help in getting direction. Then a mentor in the same system find out about him when he was in middle school. His wife was a teacher and saw he was going in the wrong direction. He took him under his wing and that was now is beside himself. It is emotional. We got close over the years. I always felt he had the potential, and just to get him to realize and start working. He became a leader, the same he did at miami and in baltimore. Just a great kid. He needed somebody to say get it done. You can make it happen. And now the tables have turned. Reed is a football camp every year, mentoring upandcoming star athletes, like william matthews, who has aspirations to play in football at college. He lets me know i have something to look forward to. Every time i am working i push myself harder.
