I wanted to get back to work as soon as i could and thats what he tried to handcuff him following a chase after a traffic stop. An 89yearold man has been found safe missing for days. Like at white plains airport. 2 1 2 mile visibility. And area airports, that kind of slowed things down. You see a mile and a half at noon and newark is 45 minutes. And jfk, a little bit of a delay. Down to philly. This afternoon, can you believe it or not, it will clear up but the wind will come with it. As a moment ago. Wind advisory in effect until 6 00 tomorrow evening, thats because a low that is coming up, into canada, it will bring a front through, and that will pick up the winds. The last of the rain is really coming across connecticut, new haven, counties, nassau, and pushing east. In about an hour, the wind will start to pick up, and the sun will start coming out to the west, and the low that we are talking about here, in the eastern great lakes, it cuts into canada. That makes it very windy this evening. And tomorrow. And rather chilly, too. And we will talk about that, as march goes out like a lion. I guess that old saying is true. A woman attacked and robbed speaking to Eyewitness News about the man wanted in several similar attacks. Now the attacks all preying on Eyewitness News is live in the kensington section with the story. Reporter 84yearold aaron vanscandal says she has never been attacked before. She said she never had a reason to feel unsafe or look over her shoulder, especially in her own home. That all changed this weekend. When she was brutally attacked by a man police are now tying to five similar incidents, take a look at what that man did to her face. He smashed her nose. And broke it with a handgun. That is part of his m. O. In each case, he picks elderly women, he follows them home, and he has a gun, and he is violent. He has choked a 91yearold. He has pistolwhipped a 71year old. Take a good look oat his face. He is hard to miss. He is a large man. At 250 pounds. About 510. Police believe he is about 40 to 60 years old. And ventendle says she let him into the building, as she was coming home, not realizing what he was about to do. Im looking around corners, and things like that. Yes, i am much more aware. I didnt have any reason before. But now, that i see that there are people out there. Reporter now, also alarming for residents, he seems to be picking neighborhoods where residents feel generally safe, park slope and Prospect Heights and the latest attack in kensington and each incident he takes off on foot with several hundred dollars in cash. Police say eight people were dancing on the roof of this home, when it collapsed under them. Three people were hurt. But are expected to survive their injuries. At least 200 people were at the party when that roof collapsed. And baseball fans and players buzzing for a bad reason in arizona. Chicagos cub Jason Hayward found himself by a bee swarm during spring training and then he started swatting and the insects moved to the stand. A Class Action Lawsuit claims that old spice is giving some customers rashes and burns on their armpits. A spokesperson for Procter Gamble which makes the product says old spice is safe to use and the reactions can be caused by a number of factors. Well, a deal is in the microsoft umbrella. Possibly. The Times Square Alliance is asking for changes for the plaza and the panhandle weekend, a man dressed as spiderman was accused of tangling with a tourist who he says stiffed him with a tip. Reporter good afternoon, there is aggressiveness by the costume characters in times square and the council will take action and the leaders who support the new legislation decided to share antidotes with those who experienced the harassment firsthand. The press conference is part of a public push to create new rules for city plazas that the city council will consider in the coming days. Under the rules, the citys Transportation Department will take control of all city plazas including times square. More importantly, it would create specific areas within the plazas where commercial activity would be allowed. Which would give pedestrians the option of avoiding that scene, if they so choose. Meaning if you dont want to see spiderman or those now all of this is a response to growing complaints about overly aggressive commercial behavior in the plazas, and today, officials shared some pretty disturbing anecdotes from visitors and others in times square. Police are now offering a shot and killed a teenager in east harlem. 16yearold juan tavares was not in the head outside the hospitals in harlem and he died at the hospital. The shooting happened across the street from a middle school. Police say the incident started as an argument between two groups at the housing complex. No arrests were made. Police are offering a 2500 reward in the case. And the race for the white house, Bernie Sanders is back on the campaign trail, after significant wins against Hillary Clinton over the weekend. And on the republican side, donald trump and ted cruz continue to go after each other over a tabloid report. Abcs Lauren Lister is in washington this afternoon with the latest. Lauren . And sandsers feeling he can win the nomination despite a difficult delegate map and no races on the republican side but plenty of drama on the National Enquirer story on rumors ted cruz had marital infidelities. Bernie sanders trouncing Hillary Clinton in washington state, alaska, and hawaii. Earning at least 70 of the i think it is hard for anybody to deny that our campaign has the momentum. No official comment from clinton. But her aides hinted sanders would win the caulk, maintaining the results dont change the race going forward. Sanders would need to win 73 of the remaining delegates to clinch the nomination, the candidate insisting he can still win. I will not deny for one second that we still remain the underdogs but we have come a long, long way, we do have a path toward victory. On the republican side, donald trump continuing to deny any involvement with the National Enquirer story targeting ted cruz. Cruz accused trump of being behind it. I had nothing to do with. It the campaign had absolutely nothing to do with it. Reporter trump claims he is the victim of personal attacks by cruz. After an antitrump super pac released this ad last week. Featuring a racy gq magazine photo of his wife. There is no way in a million without his absolute knowledge. Cruz insists he had no part in it. It is the campaign spat that is intensely vitriolic and personal. Nobody benefits from this. The only person that possibility might benefit a little bit is john kasich, the governor of ohio who is still running but way hine. And now, trump is threatening to sue. Accusing ted cruz of trying to steal delegate, trump earned at the polls. The Cruz Campaign saying they are earning the support of those delegates. New at noon, a federal lawsuit has been filed challenging a new North Carolina law that blocks local governments from passing anti discrimination rules. Republican lawmakers wanted to stop an impending charlotte ordinance allowing transgender people to use the rest rooms aligned with their gender identity. The new law prevents cities and counties from extending protections covering Sexual Orientation and gender identity at restaurants, hotels and stores. And meanwhile, georgias a gay rights bill passed by the states legislature. Nathan deal says he could not find any instances of people being forced to do something against their religious beliefs. Among other protections, the bill would shield clergy who refuse to perform samesex marriages and religious organizations from having to hire or serve gay people. We want to go back and talk to bill evans about the weather. It is a gloomy weather. But the good thing i dont see any umbrellas around the station anymore. The streets are still wet. But the umbrellas are put away. Kind of a gloomy look. But the wind will pick up and blow the clouds out of here in the last hour or so. An Airline Pilot is facing charges after failing a breathalyzer test when he was scheduled to fly. Tsa agents in detroit said that on saturday morning, the co pilot was acting strangely, at a security checkpoint. And they smelled alcohol on his breath.
