Right now. 58 degrees all that a and to that east wind that has picked up off the ocean. Ocean temperature 42 degrees so we dropped about 20 degrees in two hours along the coast. Still hanging out in the 60s in philadelphia but temperatures are dropping as some cooler air is moving slowly southbound in association with this frontal boundary. Ahead of the front seeing some shower activity a band of light showers slow sol, woulding its way south but then as we head into the overnight period its going to slowly work its way back up to the north and for tomorrow, a big difference of a day. Keeping around the clouds but well add in periods of light rain and drizzle and much cooler temperatures so if youre getting out there for the half marathon, the love run temperatures not going to be too bad altogether for running generally in the upper 40s but you are going have top contend with light rain and thats going to be the trend over the next several days with a stalled outbound carroutououtoutboundary. And now sand bags and tires hold back dirt wrapped in plastic. Boy that really has expanded into massive project there. All right, lauren, okay, so what happened . All of a sudden i was out enjoying the day. I know. Then i had to run back in and get my umbrella. Things turned on a dime thanks to a frontal boundary that doesnt know what it wants to be its having an identity crisis, is it a cold front, is it a warm front. What is it. Its going to be both over the next couple days so that is going to give us very inconsistent weather. It is going to be unsettled and getting a live look right now at center city philadelphia, dreary skies, saw peaks of sunshine but overall the trend has been for clouds and temperatures even though we got into the middle 70s today, we are cooler now that that slow moving what is now a cold front at the moment is pushing its way southbound so temperatures have cooled off quite a bit just in the last couple hours. Were at 60 degrees right now northeasterly winds around 14 Miles Per Hour but cooler weather we know its been the trend for this march. Our average temperature for this month, about two and a half inches below average. Last march we were about seven and a half degrees above average and then 2015 nearly four and a half degrees below average. So, the frontal boundary doesnt know what it wants to do, march temperatures they dont know what they want to do. We have a pretty big temperature gradient across the area. 41 trees in mount pocono, 76 degrees in millville. Your temperatures though are going to be cooling pretty quickly even over the next hour as some of that cooler air works in. You can see the stalled out frontal boundary. Cooler air to the north were at 49 degrees right now in the big apple. South of that boundary its 77 degrees in washington but we have this east wind picking up. I think we all know what an east wind means. Its coming in off the ocean so that means cooler air and dreary type weather is going to take over. Even as we head into the evening hours, cooling off, light showers around temperatures in the 50s overnight tonight were down 46 degrees some scattered light showers around with cloudy conditions persisting. As we look at storm scan3 showing us that band of shower activity pretty light in intensity slowly worked its way southbound across the Delaware Valley through the day today. It will continue to do so before it starts to lift back northward as we head into the day tomorrow but for right now, dry conditions in center city philadelphia. Over the last three hours you had to grab that umbrella. Now were seeing light rainfall around glassboro stretching up in parts of just south of mount laurel and it will move southbound over the next hour. So what to expect for our sunday. Below average temperatures after this very warm day, all due to that cool easterly wind flow off the atlantic. Cloudy and dreary with periods of light rain and drizzle altogether. Not a great looking day. Future weather going to show us as we head throughout the overnight still scattered showers kind of in that line from philadelphia points west and east. Then it starts to move northward in association with that that boundary. Overnight best chance of showers will be north of the city. Then tomorrow were going to see more in the way of like patchy drizzle light rainfall as opposed to shower activity its not until tomorrow night, monday and then on tuesday when we see a little bit more Energy Building in. Well start to see more in the way of heavier shower activity especially west of the city on monday and then for everyone as we head into tuesday, before we finally clear out on wednesday but High Temperatures tomorrow are going to be al bit different. Were topping at 49 degrees in philadelphia. A high of only 44 in allentown after 80s today in atlantic city, theyll only be in the 40s for tomorrow and up and down temperatures take us into the next several days. 49 tomorrow but then were back up at 65 on monday with those hit or miss showers, maybe some thunder. Best chance of rain over the next several days looks like its going to be on tuesday as a cold front moves on through and finally clears us out with some showers and a few thunderstorms possible i think mainly in the afternoon and early evening hours and then wednesday and thursday going to look quite nice as we start to wrap up the month of march.
