Good evening, natasha. Temperatures a few degrees above average in many spots across the Delaware Valley. Check out dover delaware, the high today 49 degrees so were getting close to that 50degree mark. Chilly up in mount pocono at 33 but we cant complain about mid 40s across most locations today. Heres where we are right now. Still not bad outside. 42 degrees in philadelphia, 37 millville and atlantic city, 30 in mount pocono. We have some clouds over the region. Those clouds will help keep our temperatures up a little bit tonight so certainly not as cold as its been. Mid 30s quakertown and doylestown this evening. Here we go. Storm scan3 part to mostly cloudy skies tonight. You can see snow breaking out across the Southern Tier of new york state. Thats the cold front that well wait to sag southward. Thats our next storm and its going to bring some wintry precipitation to parts of the area especially Lehigh Valley and the poconos later sunday night into monday. So a winter storm watch will go into effect late sunday evening through monday night for carbon and monroe county. These locations best slot to see a mix of snow, sleet freezing rain with a light to moderate snow accumulation depending on how cold the temperatures get. Even wintry weather is expected south of the mountains. Tomorrow no threat of any wintry precipitation. 48 degrees for a high for philadelphia at the shore, mid 40s well see some rain arriving late in the day for the poconos before we see the changeover. Isis claims mueller was killed in the Jordanian Air strike in syria but the u. S. Says there is no evidence to support that claim. Cbs news correspondent Wendy Gillette has more. Reporter friends and family of 26yearold Kayla Mueller still dont know if shes alive. Isis claims a Jordanian Air strike hit this building and the aid worker from arizona is buried beneath. Jordan has launched a number of airstrikes against isis in its strong hold of raca after the Group Released a video sh showed militants burning to death a captured jordanian pilot but isis offered no further proof mueller is dead and also said no militants were killed in the bombing. Jordan says the claim is proper began today. The u. S. Defense Department Said saturday that the target was a known weapons storage compound and theres no indication hostages were held there. Mueller is the only known american hostage still being held by isis. I am in solidarity with the syrian people. Chopper three was overhead as flames ripped through a onestory building on the 1600 block of foulkrod street friday night. Investigators say the building was not occupied at the time and there were no injuries. Also authorities charge a driver with d. I in connection with a crash on the roosevelt boulevard. At least three cars collided near fox street in nicetown just before 3 oclock this morning. Philadelphia Police Tell Eyewitness News the driver who was charged with dui also suffered a broken leg in this crash. And another candidate joins the democratic race for mayor of philadelphia. Doug oliver announced his candidacy in germantown today. To make all the difference in the world so when i look at the city of philadelphia i think its time for a fresh set of eyes. Coach herb mcgee just won his 1,000th game as head coach here at Philadelphia University. The game went final within the last 20 minutes or so, final score rams 80 over the team from post university with 60. We have some video to show from you inside that gym and as you might imagine it was a rocking place to be. The rams took on the team as we mentioned from post university in what can truly be described as an historic game for coach herb mcgee after only what can be described as a legendary career. It began as a player back at the school in the early 60s and then in 1967 mcgee became the head coach here and has never looked back. Along the way mcgee has become a legend wrapping up 31 20 plus wins and by winning 80 straight home games between 1990 and 1995. Hes even helped numerous nba stars improve their jump shots over the years enough so to earn him the nickname the shot doc and back here live outside of the jim, it is quiet out here but certainly it was a fun place to be as you can hear that gentleman right to my right. The students even rushed the court at the end there. The coach actually was inducted into the naismith become hall of fame in 2011. Now another mark of a fantastic career. Thats going to meet up with some cold air with some wintry weather returning. Its looking like winter up in there poconos right now. Some decent conditions. Live look at big boulder rider now. Temperatures not too cold, not a bad night for some skiing and riding. Looks like well see some fresh snow coming up from our next storm system. But compare the temperatures to this time yesterday were about six to 14 degrees warmer so thats that warmer air that has moved in this weekend. Its to set nell for another 24 hours and well see the change again. From the current temperature in philadelphia, 39 in reading but just to the north theres that arctic air trying to push southward, 27 in albany, 34 in scranton. Theres a cold front up here an arctic cold front thats going to slowly sag southward and bring some moisture in here later sunday night into monday. There it is. Still hanging outer across new york state tonight so were going to keep it dry with just a few clouds all the snow remains confined over new york state. Parter to mostly cloudy skies for the Delaware Valley. Later tomorrow night the front will start to sag southward and well get some precipitation in here. So, heres the setup. Again tomorrow mainly dry just some clouds, another mild day, highs in the mid to maybe even upper 40s. The front will come southward later sunday night into monday. Well see a mixture of some rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow basically from the Lehigh Valley to the poconos for philadelphia, mainly rain but it is possible that it does end as a little bit of light snow coming in later on monday as the storm moves off shore. Again, this whole storm system will bring light precipitation to the region but still north of the city there could be some icy spots. So, lets break it down for you. Late sunday night rain showers arrive from north to south. And then on monday mainly rain for the city but you go north and west to the Lehigh Valley poconos, youll see a mixture of freezing rain and some sleet and then that moisture could end as a little bit of slight snow later on monday afternoon into monday evening. Not expecting any accumulation here for the city. Could be a coating or so up into the Lehigh Valley with a few inches in the poconos. So heres whats happening. Lets time it out. Sunday afternoon just clouds, its dry another mild day. Here we go 10 oclock sunday night. Notice some pink showing up in the poconos. That could be a mixture of some sleet, freezing rain and then rain as that moves southward. Again not a lot of coverage with this precipitation. Its going to be light. Off and on showers at times. Monday morning there could be some icy spots, Lehigh Valley poconos. There you go later in the day there could be a brief changeover to some light snow before the storm is gone later monday evening. So lets talk about that ice potential. Again north and west of the city could be a couple hundredths of an inch of ice. There could be slick spots for both the morning and evening commute north and west of the city on monday but overnight partly cloudy, not as cold, we drop to about freezing for center city. Tomorrow another mild day mostly cloudy, 48 degrees for the high temperature. And here we go with the extended forecast that rain comes in here on monday. Could see a light wintry mix to the north. High temperature near 40 degrees. Then we cool it back down again for the end of the week. 38 on tuesday, clearing skies its windy. Wednesday 40. Could be a few flurries thursday with highs in the upper 30s. Then look at that shot of arctic air by the end of the week. Friday saturday 20s for the high temperature. It will be windy.
