Good morning, signing of relief, regional short lived strike yesterday. Places, like, come on, this is ridiculous. Riders upset at the septa Regional Rail strike can now breathe sigh of relief. The strike began saturday, at midnight, and ended early this morning. President obama signed an executive order last night, appointing emergency board to mediate the labor dispute. And, ordering the union back to work. Had the president not gotten involved, all 13 Regional Rail lines would have come to a halt. The strike was a first in 31 years. Lags rail strike, 1983, lasted for more than three months, more than 400 engineers and Electrical Work verse had long running labor dispute with septa. Septa officials and Union Workers will be forced to go back to the table, that will be mediated by the president s emergency board. We will certainly comply with the mandates of the law. And we will be given the opportunity to present our best case to the president ial emergency board. The engineers and Electrical Work remembers also compelled to return to work, which means the union cannot strike again until february. That would give 240 more days of discussing one issue, then after that point if we cant come into agreement, then there will again be another work stoppage. Strike only lasted one day yesterday. But, if you think about it, there is about 60,000 riders, that use Regional Rails during weekdays, and this was just on a saturday, Big Inconvenience for a lot of riders as they said. The piece is personal, grew up in the project every infamous high crime, low income neighborhoods. I was born when his mom was just 13. His dad, was a drug dealer, murdered in broad daylight. Keeping him away from the drugs and violence, teachers recognize the talent, pumped hick to apply for college, not only that he could except it to yale, he earned prestigious scholarship to help cover the costs.
