An argument end in the deadly quadruple shooting in olney and police are still searching for a shooter. Police are investigating after a shooting leaves two men dead, and two injured. It looks like there was some type of an argument. I dont know whether it was between two groups are not. Reporter bar fight leads to a quadruple shooting, leaving two people injured. It happen on the 5600 block north park avenue after midnight. Thirty he lease say a group of people written zidan unlicensed bar that was used to be a daze care when an argument started. It spilled outside, and that is when several shots were fired. Twentysix yearold man and 39 yearold man were pronounced dead at the scene. One man was shot in the thigh and taken to einstein hospital. The other was shot in the arm and then taken to temple. Both are in critical but stable condition. Police say many cars in the area were struck by stray bullets. There was numerous vehicles in the the area that were struck with some stray round, numerous shell casings on the highway, the whole street looks like it was a shooting gallery. Reporter again, two people are dead, and two critically injured. Police have recovered a gun from the scene but so far in arrests have been made. Residents in barrett and price townships are waking up in their homes this morning for the first time in two case, after state police lifted a shelter in place order. In a divorce there is all measures of issues that come up but within of them are pets. Pets have all measures of issues involved not the least of which is who will take care of the pet, who will pay for the pet. Instead of the pet usually we have a dog here, we have brought a law book because pets are written into some of these marriage clauses. Lets assume somebody is getting a divorce and they have a pet, does somebody, who picks up the expenses for this pet in the event of a divorce. Usually the part that i will keep the petties part that i pays the pet, however, the the party keeping the pet can ask the other party to help out with those expenses. Veterinary bills, food bills, even the bills when the pet gets older and needs more and more care. Does the other side necessarily have to agree but is that something that is for the out. Hopefully we can get an agreement, carol but often times there is a disagreement and judge makes decision about who is paying what and for how long. If you have a show dog, that makes a difference verse the family pet. Sure if you have a thoroughbred, and you have a show dog, sometimes you have exotic animals that people have have pets from, that makes a difference as opposed to common household pets. If you come into a marriage with a pet and you even up getting a divorce, does your spouse automatically get to share 50 50 custody or maybe even take that pet from you so you get a pet prenup. It is interesting, we have had prenups in our office that dealt with the pet being brought in the marriage but often times the parties will agree thaw can see the dog or see the cat or visit the horse but if you bring the pet in you will be bringing the pet with you at the end. And also, on wills, you should, of course, you do pet trusts and all that sort of thing at your firm and people do leave pets in their wills. Is that a good thing . What is the best advice for someone who wants to make sure if something happens to them that nothing bad happens to their pet. People do leave their pets care in the wills. We see that story often times with celebrities but best advice i can give you is to think about your pets care from start to finish. The food from the expenses and from what happens. You also need to determine what will happen if that petties sick. You need to have the right person overseeing the pets care in your will. Sure, someone could be held out as a trustee but that person ought to have experience. So somebody you trust so they dont walk off with the 16 milliondollar that somebody would leave a pet. It could be tempting would i imagine. We dont want that to happen. We want our pets to be safe ape sound. Jurors were not able to reach a unanimous verdict on all charges against the former Philadelphia Police narcotics officer. Last year the flu hospitalized a surprisingly large number of young and middleaged americans, only a third had been vaccinated. Three on your side Health ReporterStephanie Stahl has the the story, on one of the first flu clinics in our area. Reporter Michael Martinez is in his early 60s and getting his very first flu shot. Why did you wait so long. I was always afraid. Reporter to his surprising relief michael said it did not hurt, he was among a group of Senior Citizens at center in the park in germantown for free flu shots sponsored by the the National Council on aging. Im 65 years of age and i want to stay as healthy as possible. Reporter influenza can be dangerous and deadly for elderly. New numbers from the cdc shows 35 percent of the seniors still dont get the recommended flu shot every year. In philadelphia it is worse, only 50 percent of medicare recipients get vaccinated. People are afraid of the shot. People think they can get the the flu from the shot which they cannot. Reporter doctor john, with Chestnut Hill hospital says that mess flurelated deaths are among the elderly, usually those who dont get flu shots. We really need to do a better job as a community to get out there and get people vaccinated. Reporter there are different vaccines including higher dose flu shot made specifically for people over the age of of 65 and designed to address agerelated decline in the immune system. We cannot predict what this years flu season will be like but we can predict best way to protect yourself toys get a flu vaccination. Pneumonia can be a deadly complication of influenza, this year for the first time the the cdc is recommending Senior Citizens get a second type of pneumonia vaccine along with their flu shot. Now computer model says a couple of showers, this is right along the noon time hour, and then by 7 00 oclock, still dry over much of the area but the front starts to come through and we will start to see a few showers break out could somebody especially north and west pick up a rump of thunder it is entirely possible through the Late Afternoon time period. We have a large high settling in over us this week, all week, looks very consistent. Sunny and dry. That sums it up. Traffic affect by the mar then right here is vine street expressway, as that is on and off slow westbound between ben franklin parkway and the schuylkill, heavy off ramp traffic, actually exiting for 30th street, now on the vine street expressway westbound at the the parkway, the off ramp is closed right at ben franklin parkway so folks are using the the 30th street off ramp here to exit and it is quite slow as you can see.
