Question is how did all of this unravel . A train entering the loop here at 69th street, slammed into a parked train. It was it a medical issue . Was it operator error . Well, those conclusions will be left to the National Transportation safety board. They just arrived here, on the scene, right the now they are conferring with septa as to what went wrong. What went wrong on a loop of tracks behind the 69th street terminal where an el train blued in the back of the back of the park train an inside swiped and third train. Collision and derailment are at center of the federal investigation by the National Transportation safety board. Trains along the market frankford line, roll out of west philadelphia, through the 69th street terminal in upper darby before entering a loop, which allows them to turnaround and then reenter in on the system. Speeds are limited to 10 miles an hour in the loop, upper Darby Township shared this drone video with cbs3 giving us a closer look at the position of the derailed cars.
