But this morning, we do know that the outer drive of the ben franklin parkway will be shutdown in about an hour. Thats at 6 00 a. M. It is all to make room for all of this going on behind me over here, construction of the papal stage. You can also see the jumbrotrons in you place. All of this construction continued well to the evening hours, as the one week marker of the arrival of pope francis is now here. Now the traffic detours as you mention will linger until after he bids farewell. Were told the eakins oval area will open back up on tuesday, the 29th, but roadways will not be completely clear until october 4th. Obviously you will want to plan ahead. Construction will not be limited, i mean, excuse me, congestion will not be limited to vehicular traffic. Police also preparing for all of the foot traffic. Security officials met yesterday to discuss, well, Philadelphia Police will not be using drones, Montgomery County police will. Because in the event of an emergency, they say, navigating through crowds will be nearly impossible. If there is going to be a million and a half people or whatever it is, in Center City Philadelphia, or on city line avenue, it will be very difficult to get a robot in that area.
