Breaking right now at 11 00 a Police Officer has been hit by a car in montgomery county. This is just in video of the scene in pottstown on high street near mosier road. Police say this officer was conducting a traffic stop when the driver took off and hit the officer. Witnesses tell Eyewitness News a second officer opened fire on that vehicle as it sped off. That driver is now in custody. The officer has been taken to the hospital but no official word on his condition. Also, just in to our newsroom tonight this Surveillance Video never seen until right now. It shows the car a white infinity involved in a kensington hitandrun that killed a twoyearold and also injured his mother. There were believed to be two men inside at the time. Tonight davids mother is out hospital and a neighborhood is in mourning. A man walks into frame on the Security Camera and almost immediately we see him fall on to the tracks. Within moments a stranger jumps on to the tracks to help, others run to alert authorities while another group works to pull the men off the tracks. Tonight septa authorities call the Good Samaritan a hero. But they also remind riders of the safest way to help someone in danger isnt what we recommend is that if some somebody sees an emergency in the track area to immediately notify the cashier or hit the Emergency Box which goes directly to the transit police. Reporter two turnpike workers recently killed and the goal here is to get drivers to slow down but drivers may not like the way state police are planning to go about it. In june a worker was killed by a truck while working on a turnpike in chester county. And in 212 another worker died as result of a Chain Reaction accident while he was picking up debris on the highway. Motorists see just the construction vehicle they will not slow down. Today judge denied a motion to dismiss charges against Philip Williams catherine knot and kevin who are began. The three were alleged to have been part of a group that got into a fight with that couple near 16th and chancellor last september. Some in the group allegedly directed gay slurs at those men. And one of the victims suffered severe facial fractures. New tonight, prosecutors have charged a Gloucester County pastor with sexual assault. Franklin Township Police say James Simmons began sexually abuseing a woman when she was 17 years old and the abuse continued for several years. That alleged victim is now 21. Police say simmons is a pastor at the new life in christ ministries in malaga. He surrendered to police and bail was set at 150 to us son dollars. Thousands of fugitives across the country including more than 80 in new jersey are now off the streets after a six week long initiate tiff to reduce crime. The tulsa world now reports some supervisors at the Sheriffs Office were told to forge bates Training Records. What we were told is that the supervisors were told to sign off on 250 hours of training. Most of that he did not have virtual all of that he did not have. The supervisors at the gun range were told to sign off on his handgun qualifications even though did he not qualify. The newspaper reports that three supervisors who refused to sign forged records were reassigned. The Sheriffs Office is denying those allegations. A florida man arrested for landing his gyrocopter on the us capitol lawn appeared in federal court today. 61yearold doug hughes is charged with violating restricted air space and operates an unregistered aircraft.
