It happened this afternoon at seattle pacific. A brave student managed to tackle the man and hold the man until police arrived. The gunman acted alone. They havent released the mans name and say he wasnt a student. Justice for a livermore mother who was killed at her home. Today a jury convicted davis of Second Degree murder. Legally they have been the center of a debate as to whether the images of the data should be admissible in court. Todays state Supreme Court decision makes that clear. It states that it upheld a law, the case was filed bid a southern californian woman. It argues that the cameras should be considered hearsay since no human was witnessing a violation. One law expert we talked to today said the ruling is important because it clarifies the use of the Technology Just as other technology such as breathalyzer, dna evidence and fingerprinting have had to be scrutinized in the past. Defendants will still be able to challenge the red light cameras in court. If you can show theres a glitch or mechanical failure, or even a pattern of mechanical failures then youre going to be able to attack it. This doesnt mean youre never going to be able to attack.
