Just hours ago, several people shot outside of a nightclub in downtown oakland. That could be as many as nine victims and meantime, police are looking for the gunman. You can see some of the police chalk circles from evidence markers on the ground. As we walked closer, you might be able to make out what we found so far this morning. A couple of medical gloves on the ground and you can see a bone in window. The shooting started shortly after midnight and we are hearing as many as nine people injured. The area has been cleared but earlier, it was a chaotic scene. Multiple injured people. Ambulances. Conversing in this area and about 12 15 this morning. Oakland Police Officers work in the area. What they found were multiple injured people. Some of who were here on the scene. Others who showed up at area hospitals with injuries from the shooting. They wound up in area hospitals on their own. At this point, investigators say they are trying to piece together what happened. We responded and located multiple victims. We transported the victim to various hospitals here some victims transported themselves in the investigation, at this point, is ongoing into what occurred. Reporter at this point, police are not saying if they have any suspects or if anyone is in custody. The incident happened right outside of a nightclub and police are not saying that the victims or shooters had anything to do with the club. Some of the victims were able to transport themselves to every hospitals. Others were taken by ambulance and at this point, we dont have any update on those people taken to the hospital. Were hoping to get more information from Oakland Police little bit later on this morning. That is what the confusion was as people were transporting themselves to the hospital and police arriving, it becomes a little more confusing. Reporter thats right. And one of the reasons why Oakland Police were vague on what how many on how many victims there were. Some people may have been shot and others may have been injured and trying to run away from the incident. It was a chaotic scene with Oakland Police trying to get everything in order because before they could tell us what happened. Live in downtown oakland. This overnight shooting happened right next door to where a musician was shot and killed last april by a stray bullet. The 26yearold was leaving your 14th and broadway when he was shot. Police say he had just finished a performance or princes birthday. At last check, no arrests have been made. Two people are under arrest accused of beating and stabbing and burning a body at oakland park. She did not return home. Police arrested the man and woman for the killing. Police arrested it was over a personal matter. For this to happen is shocking because she wanted to prevent things like this from happening and for this is for this to happen to her it is mind blowing. She worked at kfc. She dreamt of working in Law Enforcement. A University Student has been arrested on possession of possessing and distributing hundreds of child pornography images and video. Police investigated the 20year old in september and he was taken into custody on thursday. Investigators say they found more than 600 images of child pornography in his dorm room some of which involved children under the age of three years old. Usf released this statement about the arrest of a student not enrolled in any academic courses that wouldve brought him in contact with children. We are following a developing story this morning from downtown oakland. Gunfire erupts from a busy nightclub. As many as nine people may have been shot and wounded. We have kristin live at the club near Oakland City Hall and christian, what are you learning about this incident, so far . Reporter as you said, we are close to Oakland City Hall. It is just about a block down this way and there is still evidence from the shooting. You can see your broken out window, not clear if it is a bullet or knocked out but certainly, a lot of chaos in the moments following that shooting. It was definitely a chaotic scene out here earlier and has been cleared earlier. Multiple people are injured and were hearing from as many as nine people were hearing as many as nine people are injured. Around 12 15 this morning and it all started with an argument. Police officers were close by and heard the gunfire and were able to get to the scene quickly. The idea is that he is happy though she is happy, love singing and she becomes friends with a character named branch voiced by Justin Timberlake and he is a very negative control. They end up with some of their troll friends. The movie is beautifully animated. The music is great where they both sing that song. It is a phenomenal film from an animation standpoint. I thought it was a little slow at times but overall, it is worth seeing. Skip the 3d. It is not worth seeing. Next up is taxol ridge hacksaw ridge. s story is beyond words and incredible. He fought in world war ii in okinawa and saved 75 lives without firing a single weapon and he was a medic. On the front line with the armed forces. It was an incredible, true story. And the way they portray the war sequences is mind blowing. Very similar to full metal jacket and the deer hunter and it turns into a war film. And the score is incredible. And this court, comes in. It is very operatic to watch. Very violent, i am warning you. One of the most violent you will ever see in your entire life but a great story and i do think people should see it. Four out of five. We are now hearing that nine people were shot early this morning outside of a nightclub in downtown oakland. Now the numbers are still coming in. Police are still trying to find the gubman. They do believe there were multiple shooters. This all happened just after midnight. Police got calls of a shooting and frank ogawa plaza. Some officers happened to be nearby. They heard the gunfire. A multilevel entertainment facility. Police right now still trying to determine the exact number of victims. We responded and located multiple victims. We transported the victims to various hospitals. Some victims transported themselves and the investigation at this point is ongoing into what occurred. Police say some of the victims are in stable condition. It does not appear that any of the injuries are life threatening. Authorities told the Bay Area News Group that the shooting stemmed from the nightclub and there may have been as many as three shooters. No reported arrests so far. Oakland police. The felony assault investigator section now working on the case. Two people under arrest. Investigators say 21yearold Carla Ramirez soko viano was beaten and stabbed and her body was left. She failed to return home on wednesday night after dropping off a friend. Police have arrested a man and a woman in the case. Investigators believe the attack was over a personal matter and not related to the victims work. Thats what makes her unique. You know she wasnt outgoing or really loud. She really had a huge heart. Carla attended loss pasit os college. She dreamt of working in Law Enforcement. U. S. Sef. A university of San Francisco student has been arrested. Police started to investigate this man 20yearold sam kerrfoot in september and he was taken into custody. Police say they found images. Some involved children under the age of 3 years old. Kerrfoot is being held on 850,000 bail. Mr. Kerrfoot was not enrolled in any academic course that is would have brought him in contact with children. A federal Appeals Court a lawsuit was filed by james brown when he was released by a nevada Psychiatric Hospital and then given a bus ride to sacramento where he didnt know anyone. Yesterdays decision upheld the Lower Court Decision dismissing that lawsuit. A Police Officer sergeant shot and killed in the line of duty. Paul zolo was a 19year veteran. He and another sergeant responded to the report of a Home Invasion in the bronx yesterday afternoon. Police say when the suspect fled from the scene it turned into a chase and then a shootout. The suspect was killed. The other Police Sergeant was shot in the leg but is expected to survive. The home that gonzalez broke into was his e stranged exwife. As a form of political retaliation. Bridget kelly. A christy appointee were both found guilty by a federal jury of all counts against them. Kelly and beroni were convicted of scheming to punish the democratic mayor of not endorsing christie. And a big talker involving that Rolling Stone magazine story about an alleged gang rape and a campus fraternity. A jury in virginia has claimed. The story claimed she discouraged the victim from coming forward but police never found any evidence that a rape even occurred. Later in independent review found Rolling Stone made repeated miss stakes in reporting and editing the story. The magazine later retracted it. And we are finding out more about a South Carolina man who is accused of chaining a woman in a storage container for weeks. Were talking about 45yearold todd cullhep. 35 nicole brown went missing in august. Deputies rescued brown thursday after a tip led them to the property. Brown told investigators that she saw cullhep shoot and kill her boyfriend and yesterday a body was found on that same property in a shallow grave. Deputies do not know yet if its browns boyfriend. Were not even close to identification. You know, im not going to talk about the state of the deceased person. Deputies say cullhep is a convicted sex offender who was found guilty of kidnapping and raping a 14yearold girl in arizona in 1987. They are worried more bodies may be found on that property based on what brown told them. Time now 8 37 an Investigation Continues this morning after a woman died yesterday while canoeing out on the russian river. Around 12 30 in the afternoon. A 60yearold woman was wearing a life jacket when her canoe accidentally tipped over. Her two friends happened to make it to shore and called for help. About an hour later the woman was spotted under tree limbs by a helicopter. She was be brought to shore where she was later pronounced dead. A body was found wednesday in a shallow grave at sonoma state. Who killed 18yearold Kirk Kimberly and why. Sonoma county Sheriffs Office rescue and search volunteers searching some 10 acres of a wooded area looking for evidence there. Kimberly last seen riding his bicycle on october the 17th. Friends say kimberly enjoyed skateboarding and wiz wellliked by everybody who knew him. He was really nice and he was laid back and he was funny. He would always tell jokes in class, you know, hed make you laugh when you were having a bad day. Kimberly graduated from rancho county high school. Investigators are refusing to disclose how he died. A surgeon from usf is in jail accuse offend selling narcotics to his patients. Hes a vascular surgeon at the va medical center. Police are also investigating the death of dr. Owens girlfriend. Danielle fatio was found on tuesday dead in the home they shared. Very friendly, calm, and just mild and thank you have a good day. Again were seeing it just inside the bay. As we get into the afternoon hours closer to the dinner time hour we do have an increase of clouds. These are the mid and high level clouds coming from the storm that is actuallily over the northwest corner of california. So in the overnight hours we will get a chance of scattered showers but again a few 1 100 maybe at best for the north bay. A total of six victims were wounded. Two people have been arrested in connection to that overnight shooting. They also suffered gunshot wounds and are hospitalized and right now both are in stable condition. And that makes sense on the number that we had earlier of eight. That means six victims and two suspects. Six victims four of them are women. Two of them are men. Age. And the shooting just happened just after midnight. Some officers who happened to be nearby actually heard the gunfire. They were able to get over there quickly. Well have much more on the story coming up at the top of the next hour. Police receiving calls about a shooting near 14th street in franklin. Close to city hall and franklin gala plaza. There were six victims in total and the two people have now been taken into custody. The suspects by the way are 17 and 21. They both suffered gunshot wounds are hospitalized and both in stable condition. As for the victims four female and two are male. Their ages range from 17 to 28. One of them is in critical condition, the others are stable. There were victims that had moved to different locations so we located them as they ran from the scene. We have different locations where we located them. Authorities say they will have further updates on monday morning. The Bay Area News Group reported it stemmed from a dispute that happened inside the lounge club vinyl. Well two people are under arrest accused of killing a volunteer with the almeda county Sheriffs Office. Was beaten and stabbed and her body was burned and then left in an oakland park. She failed to return home wednesday night after dropping off a friend. Police have arrested a man and a woman for the killing. Investigators believe the attack was over a personal matter and not related to the victims work with the Sheriffs Office. A university of San Francisco Nursing Student has been arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing hundreds of child pornography images and video. He was taken into custody on thursday. Investigators say they found more than 600 images of child pornography in his dorm room. Some of which involve children under the age of 6 years old. Kerrfoot is being hold on 850,000 bail. Mr. Kerrfoot was not involved in any official University Programs that would have brought him in contact with children. Non of our it systems were used or compromised in this matter. So the Competition First started in early january. They give you a task of what your robot is supposed to be doing. Once they give you that task they send you off with a bunch of restrictions you have to prototype the robot and a bunch of mechanisms like the intake. Youre supposed to be able to computer design them. Youre supposed to fabricate each and every piece. After you fabricate it all you piece them together and you program it. And is it a distance competition how efficient it works competition . So its a competition between efficiency and team work because youre put into an alliance of three robots and youre all supposed to Work Together to shoot the ball the fastest. Theres a whole generation of people who know the music of frankie valley and the four seasons from jersey boys not from frankee valley and to know that were the people singing them as opposed to the original. Lets talk about daylight savings time because it ends tomorrow at 2 00 a. M. Before you go to bed unless you happen to be up at 2 00 a. M. Turn your clocks back an hour and then if youre feeling a little sleep deprived get excited because you will get that hour of sleep. The adjustment can throw off a persons internal body clock. Studies have shown that time change can lead to a seasonal depression. That clock helps regulate when we feel sleepily. When were alert. When were more likely to eat. When were more likely to be less hungry and just like having to turn your watch back having to turn the clock on the wall back you also have to turn back that internal clock. All right. So it is tempting to sleep in tomorrow morning and i think im going to go ahead and say go ahead. No. Doctors suggest you get into your normal daily schedule as soon as possible. I have a feeling people might do that on monday. But they say waking up to sunlight can improve your mood. It can also make it easier to get your day started. Turning now to some trending news. A student from sfu. Dr. Christopher owens he is a vascular surgeon at the va medical center. Police are also investigating the death of dr. Owens girlfriend. A neighbor said he was shocked to learn of her death. Very friendly, calm, and just mild and you know, thank you have a good day bye. Normal. Dr. Owens has not been charged in her death however he has been booked on 99 counts related to the sale of opioids. And there is a major road closure happening late today in the east bay. Heres the map in san pablo avenue. All shut down from 11 00 tonight until 7 00 tomorrow morning. All part of an i80 interchange reconstruction project. The work was postponed from last weekend due to the bad weather and now crews will have that extra hour because of daylight savings time tonight. Officials say once the interchange has been completed it will provide safe roads for drivers and bicyclists as well. California has met a legal deadline to change how condemned inmates are executed. Corrections officials have proposed using a single lethal drug and yesterday they submitted the proposed regulations for final aprofl. Right now there are about 750 inmates on death row. The city of berkley has cleared out a tent city that has protest the way the city provides the homeless. The encampment was in front of the berkley food and Housing Project. Our produce expert and were going to talk about a holiday coming up in a couple of weeks. Lets be thankful youre here. Today were going to talk about squash and not just the usual acorn squash. We had six of these when we started here about a half hour ago. Now theres one left. The most generic probably winter squash that there is. The only thing it only has about a three week shell life. Most of the squashes will last two to three months. Its called an acorn swaush because it looks like an acorn. Whats next here. Lets go to the butternut. Everybody sees this one. Butternut squash. The unusual thing about the Butternut Squash is that it is a fruit. You prepare it just like a vegetable. You can roast it and saute it. Now one of my favorites. The spaghetti. Spaghetti squash. Yes, as many of you probably know you can use this almost as a sub for cashes. After you bake it you can slice it in half. Bake it face down. Salt, pepper a little bit of oil. After you get through cooking it you can scrape it out with a fork and it will turn to spaghetti and you can put it on your plate and serve it as a side dish. These are one of my favorites. This is dellacado because the skin is very delicate. Can you slice this with a paring knife. Weve sliced one in half. So all you have to do is scrape the seeds out and by the way you can toast the seeds. Theyre terrific. And they almost disappeared and they came back. Actually in the 1970s they disappeared totally because they were susceptible to mildew. However they came up with a new hybrid type product and theyre plentiful since about the year 2005. One more here. This is what . This is called a caboocha squash. Its also called a japanese pumpkin. Allegedly its known as an afrodesiak. Its a great product. You can actually eat the skin. You can slice them thin. Layer them on a baking pan with oil and salt and paper and theyre just like candy. When theyre done. They taste like chess nut. That texture is there and its terrific. Plus the other thing about all of these you can use these as ornamentation for your thanksgiving table. Thats it from the dansville farmer market. Speaking of the Farmers Market were about done for everything in california now. These are all of our essential valley garcia farms here. Theyre Still Producing products but youre winding down as the days get shorter its going to be moving south. My pick is the spaghetti. I like the caboocha. The federal Aviation Administration issued a four year waiver to Walt Disney Parks allowing those drones to fly. The resort operators must have remote pilot certificates. Disney says its asked for permission to fly the drones over the parks which can be operated day or night for entertainment purposes. All right. Our weather interestingly good. Yeah.
