Firefighters say things will get worse before it gets better. The National Weather service predicts the weather condition in the area will be hot and dry. Temperatures in the low 90s. Humidity only 20 . But theres a bigger concern, te wind. This is the first time it has come this far. 20 years ago there was one that made it to bear valley and they stopped it there. This is adding a lot of slow traffic to that commute. The bay bridge toll plaza is moderate at a 20 minute delay. Technology helped captured two men accused of a daring burglary at a verizon store. They used power tools to cut through the roof and get inside. The suspect stole 138,000 in merchandise including iphones and ipads and gam galaxy phones. An investigator says he fired his gun after hearing a loud nose. Officer noor opened fire on 40yearold Justine Damond of australia on saturday morning. His partner tells investigators that he and noor were responding to damonds 911 call reporting a possible assault near her home. She was in her pajamas talking to the officers on the drivers side of the car. Investigators say there was a loud noise and thats when officer noor fired his weapon through the car window killing damond. Both officers were wearing body cameras, but they were not turned on until after the shooting. There are Big Questions left we still have and we hope to have answered soon. There should have been the framework. There should have been care. The officerinvolved shooting death of danker last october was a catalyst for this debate. Police officials says while trying to defuse her suicide attempt, danker swung a bat at the officers head and he fired killing the 66yearold. One thing officers want in addition to federal funding for training and equipment, access to Mental Health records when officers are responding to a service call. The belief is the more Information Officers have, the better choices they can make helping to deescalate a situation.
