So we dont have any new information on what the status of it is but were keeping an eye on it. Lets go a little further north of there. You can see 880 in the southbound direction is slow and thats because of a crash that happened there earlier this morning. The crash is out of the way but theres some residual impact from that. Farther north of that 88. Traffic there looks good. Bay bridge toll [ applause ]. Definitely busy this morning. Thats because the meter lights have been on for about a half hour. Time now is 6 02. Lets go back to the desk. Were getting a close are look now at a car that crashed into a south bay pool early this morning. Were showing you now for the first time that 4 door desan. Ktvus christien kaplan is there at the home in santa clara. What are they telling you about the driver . Yeah, dave, gasia Santa Clara Police saying the 19yearold driver is telling them that he fell asleep behind the wheel. The car still submerged in the pool of this santa clara home. We do have some video of the crash accident. It happened at 3 this morning with the crash. 19yearold out of the car soaking wet. He was uninjured and able to get out of the car on his own. That young man lives here in santa clara and may very well have been trying to drive home. After taking a look they determine that theres no way to get that car out of the pool without causing significant damage to that pool. So now we are waiting on a crane to arrive to haul that car out safely. At this point the driver has not been sited but he could face driving charge infractions. They were not home when this occurred. And they are still try to contact them. Again, look at our live picture you can see the level of damage. Those homeowners in for quite a surprise once they return home. At this point still trying to determine whether or not the driver will be facing any charges in this incident gasia and dave. All right. Thank you. For the second time in 16 months San Bernardino is dealing with a tragedy. Yesterday a gunman shot and killed an Elementary School. Hundreds of people last night packed a church in bernard mourning the victims of yesterdays murdersuicide. The teach are was 53yearold karen smith. The shooting appears to be stemming from a Domestic Violence dispute involving her husband. He was a fine person until they were married he showed another side of him well he began to pick up my daughter and they had dateded for four years and after three weeks i decided you need to get away from him. He is not the kind of person you thought he was. Two of the Elementary School children were hit by gunfire. But police dont believe they were targeted. Maryanne martinez has more from San Bernardino. Small children Holding Hands after surviving a deadly shooting at a San Bernardino Elementary School. It started with gunshots and thats when we started going on the chair, and the desk. Tony, a third grader heard the gunshots from a different classroom. And i wish this never happened. When i came into the school i thought it was going to be a regular day. They were in their special needs classroom when a gunman whos 8yearold Jonathan Martinez was also shot and later dieded at loma linda was also wounded and is in stable condition. The San Bernardino Police Department said the. Police say Cedric Anderson had a history of abuse and weapons charges. Theyve only been married for a few months and theyve been separated for the last month, month and a half roughly. They were later bussed to Cajon High School where parents were waiting. An Investigation Continues after an inmate died at the elmwood correctional facility. The body of a 48yearold man was found saturday morning inside a housing unit. He was taken to a hospital but later died. Officials think he may have jumped from the second story of the building. The last death of an inmate was in 2017. Some members of the Santa Clara County Sheriffs Office now have body cameras. Deputies are being trained for up to twelve months. Small video cameras. United airlines is facing backlash after forcibly pulling a passenger from an overbooked flight sunday. The agent was like you have to get off the plane. It all started when the flight crew picked four passengers at random to give up their seats to traveling airline employees. After no one volunteered. But one of the passengers picked refused to get up saying he was a doctor who needed to see his patients. Another passenger though says airline employees tried to reason with him. He was committed to not getting off the plane. Industry watch dog say the airline should have told the passenger he was legally entitled to compensation. The airlines do not want to often die vulg what your true options or rights are and then they dont want to give you a warning. And in many cases theyre very quick to pull the trigger and call the police. Video captured by passengers shows the man hitting his head as officers ripped him out of his seat with other passengers in a state of shock. It was wild enough that they pulled this man off. He was unconscious when they pulled him off the plane. Ultimately the airline is within their right to pull any passenger off the plane according to experts. Most people when you get on an airplane you give up a lot youfr constitutional rights. United airlines has apologized for overbooking the flight. In new york Kelly Wright Fox news. The fbi is now offering a 25,000 reward for information in the case of a chicago judge who was shot to Death Outside of his home. Judge raven miles and a woman were walking out of his home when she saw a man with a gun. Both of them were shot. He died at the hospital she was seriously injured and is expected to survive. We showed you this map the sensors hadnt picked it up yet but an ambulance is on the scene and its blocking one of the left lanes. There was a truck blocking one of the right lanes at penole valley road. Through the 80 corridor. That truck has been moved into the gor point but as sal would always say maybe the damage has been done. So a lot of slow down there. Its going to take you 31 minutes to get from the carcinas bridge to the macarthur maze and taking a look at that. Definitely more cars on the road at this hour but traffic is moving and thats good news. San mateo bridge a second ago it was just kind of at a crawl. Anyone who drives on the road will have their license plate recorded and the airport plans to keep that information on its file for years. The San Francisco Commission Approved this policy. But it collects the license plate information from every vehicle driving into the airport. And that information will be stored for a long time up to four years. The aclu questions why the data needs to be stored for so long and if the policy is an invasion of prief sea. The airport can also release the license plate information to the San Francisco police or the fbi. Now the aclu told kqed that it worries that the airport could be used as a honey pot for local law enforcement. The 23yearold student left his home in vallejo last thursday without telling anyone. He was seen leaving later that morning in benetia. Now police recovered his car but theres no sign of rodrigo. The victim says she was assaulted while attending a party. Police have not yet named the fraternity where the incident happened. Police do not have a description of the suspect. And the panel is recommending against screening men age 70 or older. The u. S. Preventive Services Task force found drastic treatment can be often avoided if you closely monitor it. We know with Prostate Cancer for example its very slow going and that there are many men who will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer who actually have low risk Prostate Cancer. And there have been several recent studies found in many cases. Screenings for Prostate Cancer actually do more harm than good. This happened early sunday morning on rose mart court. Police say the vandals broke into the homes, threw a party and smashed windows kicked in doors and shattered glass. The contractors say it cost between 50,000 and 20,000.
