The most bay people still worried about rising creek levels and flooding. It hasnt rained as much as they expected. The marin county Emergency Operation center was deactivated yesterday. In sonoma the Russian River is rising. This house was built back in 191ed. It has survived many rainy winters but now the foundation is collapsing and slipping in to the river. At least three neighbors of the house are threatened as well. They have a bit more of a buffer and time to try to bolster the river bank. They are using large boulders, rock, things to shore it up. We arent sure of how large the breach is. Thats why we are starting the evacuation. Forced out of their homes. Thats set up on fifth street nearby. Its up clear how long people will be kept out of this particular area again. They were able to halt the breach but as we bring you back out here to a live picture are you looking live at that levee on the eastside of the river here just southwest. The work continuing to try to shore up that breach and we will hope to find out when county officials will feel confident enough in the stability of that temporary fix to allow people back in.
