Aerial ladder trucks to pour warter from up above. There are crews down below as well. This fire started early in the morning. Many of you that drive early in the morning, may have seen it on the freeway. And lets go ahead and listen now to what we heard and saw. A loud bang coming from the scene of the fire. Earlier, when we started at 4 00 this morning, we heard a loud explosion, actually it came from the tires of three cars that were parked nearby, to this Apartment Building. And that is what you possibly heard this morning. And then there is also a portion of the building that has collapsed. Now, there is some concern, there is a crane, also, nearby, and quite frankly, fire crews tell me that they are surprised that this crane hasnt fallen, and they were concerned, because earlier, when this fire started, it was seen swaying back and forth. But fire crews will remain here for several hours. I just came down, and i just saw this big flames, burning and burning and burning. And i was seeing it and then the blast happened. I said someone is playing with fireworks. And people were screaming. Reporter several residents who saw the flames were evacuated. Especially one from a town home complex. Off of 39th and adeline. Those residents are being helped out by the red cross this morning. And as we take it back out here live, no injuries have been reported. So far. And this fire continues to be battled by oakland fire crew, almeda county fire crews, and alex savage is on the sore side, so we have other side, so we have Team Coverage this morning. On the other side off west macarthur and lyndon and basically what fire crews are doing are surrounding this fire, and basically to get a better containment. They say it is going to be several hours until it is fully contained. But the fire crews as have you been mentioning, very busy this morning. Guys, back to you. Hey, brian, before you go, i know that is a densely populated area, and we have heard that some people have been evacuated. Or moved out. What do you know about that . Yes, they are being, as we mentioned, being helped out by the red cross. A couple of blocks from here. And you can see, they are i dont know if you can see it from the vantage point, but several residents have kind of gathered out there, and again being helped out by the red cross, we should also mention, that there are reports of a small gas leak, we talked with oakland fire crews, this he say pg e is here. And they are currently working on that. But there is no danger from that happening. But boy, it has been a very busy morning so far for oakland fire crews. Almeda county fire crews. And apparently, there is another fire that you guys are going to be talking about in union city as well. And then have you been all over it. Brian flores, on the Oakland Emeryville border. Thank you. We are getting several videos on social media from people in the area showing us more about the fire. And we want to show you what they are sending. It is just incredible. Here is some video. Of the fire. As it was burning, you can see there are trees nearby. There were power lines nearby. Really intense. And this is somebody, hopefully theyre not taking this as theyre driving, maybe there is a passenger but this is what i saw. And this is what i saw. As i drove into work, and that is as far away as i was as well from the fire. It looks like they are coming from the maze. You can feel the heat. Thats how big it was. Here is another picture. From the ground level, you can see how big that fire was. And we understand it was about a five story construction, five story building, under construction, and some of it is collapsed. It looks like it is down to one story in some areas so thank you so much to all of our viewers for checking in and sending us those photos and the video. And right now, we want to check in with sal, because certainly, traffic in the area, can be affected, and still no problems for bart though, sal . No problems for bart. Bart is running as normal. And this morning, even though it is close to the Macarthur Bart station, the fire, but nothing was impacted. And this is a picture from our emeryville camera, and you can see the freeway in the back ground, and the fire in the foreground, and the fire crews still pouring water on this massive apartment complex. That was under construction. But the freeway traffic now seems to be moving well. Not as much smoke. This is just a map of the area. And to show you where the fire is. And in relationship to 580. And 980. And the macarthur maze. And the west macarthur onramp to 580 westbound is shut down. Because of the fire. And lets talk about a union city fire, on the 30,000 block of industrial. And this fire, union city here, it looks like it is the in the area of home depot, this little complex here and you can see that the fire crews are, there and i dont see any smoke or flames but it does look like it is the pep boys wearhouse here, in union city. And a lot of fire crews, and not a lot of smoke and flame. We will keep an eye on this fire as well. And lets move along, and take a look at the bay bridge toll plaza, you will see the traffic is going to be busy in the area. I also do want to mention that traffic is getting busy, on some of the other east bay commutes. And we will check in with highway 4, and some of the other commutes, and thats coming up, in the next traffic update. And now, lets go to todays weather. Lets go to steve. Sal, thank you. A pretty big fog bank out there again and very cool lows and upper 40s, especially toward the north bay around napa and even to bodega bay. And Brad Schaefer says cloudy and cold in sausalito this morning. I believe it. And there are some really cool lows this morning. And san francisco, today, 62, and 54. And averages, 67, 54. And back in 1921 for the record high. And not anything close to that. And belowaverage temperature around the bay and the coast. And which is now getting to be belowaverage temperatures for inland areas. The water temperatures went down a little bit. That certainly helped. That makes it feel a little colder as well. And the fox, even though it is a the fog, even though it is losing a lot of support, it is still there. And there is a southerly component. The southeast breeze, toward san jose, the smell of garlic, coming up from gilroy. It is filtering into the san jose area. And i have had that on a couple of comments. And 48 novato. 52 napa. And one observation that shows 48 near the napa area. And there is the 48, 46 in the calistoga hills. Mill valley. And a cool 51. And bodega bay, 49 chilly degrees. If it feels cooler, there is a weak system brushing us right there but a stronger one is poised to move in friday and saturday. And that will keep this theme going and keep us on the cooler side. So low clouds, sunny, breezy, windy for some but below average temperatures, and in fact, i have the 70s for some inland areas that should be a lot warmer than that and 60s around the bay as well and low 70s. Thank you. Time is 6 07. Police in san jose say someone is apparently randomly firing shots at cars, along a busy road. And now, investigators want your help. To find out who is doing it. Ktvu, janine dela vega is in san jose, to tell us about the shooting. Good morning. Reporter good morning, dave, well it is happening here on blossom hill road. And it is very unsettling for people who live along here. And work here. And this area is lined with businesses. And there is a lot of neighborhoods around here. Now, lets show you a map that pinpoints the location here on blossom hill, where four different vehicles have been shot at. It is happening between poughkeepsie and monterey road. And police tell us one shooting happened in may. And two occurred in june. And the latest just happened on saturday. The mercury news reports the female driver in that case was injured by shrapnel or glass. And a male driver in one of the other shooting suffered a graze wound. Pretty scary. I think i was just made aware of this yesterday. And now, it is kind of, you know, it is pretty scary. Well, it is very fortunate no one has been seriously injured. And the shootings are all happening at around the same time, between 12 30 and 12 50 in the morning. And police want people to stay vigilant. Be aware of their surroundings. When they travel through that area. And they are beefing up patrols in those areas but they are looking for any witnesses or anyone with information, to come forward. In hopes that it may lead to capturing whoever is responsible for these shootings. Dave . All right, janine dela vega in san jose, thank you. Time now is 6 09. Also new this morning, a South African judge has now sentenced former olympic Gold MedalistOscar Pistorius to six years in prison for the murder of his girlfriend reeva steenkamp. Pistorius was originally acquitted of steenkamps murder. And served a year in jail for manslaughter. But the conviction was changed last year. To murder. And by south africas supreme court. It is 6 09. And the fbi says there will be no criminal charges for Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information. While serving as secretary of state. Fbi director james comey yesterday delivered the results of a yearlong investigation. He was very critical of clinton for sending and receiving state department emails, on a private server, at her home. Many of them contained classified information. At the time of transmission. We cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these factors. Only a very small number of the emails here containing classified information bore markings that indicated the presence of classified information. Clinton did not mention the issue, while campaigning yesterday. With president obama. But her campaign did release a statement, saying, quote, it was a mistake to use her personal email and she would not do it it again. But clinton was glad that this matter is now resolved. Our time now is 6 10. A huge Early Morning east bay fire is affecting an entire neighborhood. Have you been watching us, as we talked to you, and these are live pictures, of the area we are talking about. In the Oakland Emeryville area. We will tell you who has been evacuated so far, and what fire officials are saying about it now. Plus, a Deadly Police shooting caught on camera sparked outrage and protests in louisiana. And what police claim the father of five did before officers fired several shots. Another fire, this time on the ashby avenue offramp from eastbound 80. There it it is. It looks like a fire unit on the scene. And this has closed the ashby avenue offramp from eastbound 80 and affecting traffic on the freeway as people are looking at it here on 80 westbound. You can see that people are slowing down. And trying to figure out what is going on. We will tell you more about this straight ahead. What if we made a paint that was so special that was such a jewel among paints that you had to seek it out. Nope, even easier than that. More like taking a left on that street where you usually take a right that wasnt so hard. And if finding that paint made you and your walls beam with pride, is it still paint . Benjamin moore. Paint like no other. Find one of our 5,000 authorized retailers near you. Good morning, welcome back to mornings on 2. I want to show you this fire, this is from earlier, this is that fire that is on the Oakland Emeryville border. You can see how huge this fire was, earlier, and this morning, it was a five story building, under construction. And we understand that now, there are 20 to 25 fire crews on the scene, and we also have reporters on the scene. And we understand neighboring homes have been evacuated. As a precaution. And here is a live picture now, from fox 2, our helicopter overhead, and that is actually pretty good news. Because it looks like the flames are gone. And now, it is mostly smoke. But boy, not much left of that building. Alex was telling us, that the firefighters actually had a drone getting a birdseye view, about like this, to help them with the Fire Fighting efforts. Again, they hope to have this completely contained. You can see they are still pouring a lot of water on to that building. A lot of smoke still coming from the scene. And that was our live picture overhead. And again, we have two crews on the scene. We will continue to follow that story. Yes, now there were vehicles on fire, next to that burning structure. And during our live report, brian flores was on the air. And one of the tires exploded. Good morning, again, this fire started roughly around 2 45 this morning. A loud bang coming from the construction as well. That was pretty loud there, guys. Yes, we saw it as it happened. We will continue following this story, and the Oakland Emeryville area, throughout mornings on 2. We are just getting an update from our executive producer saying that fire crews now say they are battling a fire on the building next door. So this fire has spread. There were a lot of concerns about that, so again, we will check in with our crews there on the scene. In just a moment. Stay with us. And in other news, this morning, we also have some more information, coming in, about the terrorist attack at a restaurant in bangladesh that killed a ux c berkeley student. Uc berkeley student. Authorities say Police Killed a chef in the restaurant, because they mistook him for being one of the militants. 21 hostages were killed in last fridays attack. Investigate herself seen messages on social media, warning of an attack. But police thought extremists would strike embassies or hotels. And the five gunmen shot at police. They launched grenades every time officers tried to mosque in. And that standoff lasted 12 hours. Before officers were able to kill the militants in a gun battle. I thought wow, this girl is incredible. Family, friends and classmates are all remembering 18yearold tarishi jane, killed in the bangladesh attack. They held a vigil yesterday on the uc berkeley campus. They say she was ambitious and outgoing and she said goodbye to her friends last month to travel to bangladesh for the summer internship. Time now is 6 17. God bless you. Trying to hold that in. It is all right. It is okay. As you can see it is a busy wednesday morning. Lets go to sal. Are you watching our commute. A lot going on. Thats right, the ashby off ramp is closed for a grass fire on east 80 at ashby avenue. We have a picture of it here for you. It looks like the Fire Department, one unit there, has put the fire out. And that ashby avenue offramp remains closed. People on the freeway were slowing down to take a look at it for a bit when the flames and smoke were visible. Now the traffic has improved quite a bit. The Fire Department got it out. Obviously that is a small fire, but nothing in comparison to the emeryville fire, and lets go back to that emeryville fire. The huge fire, and that is being fought here, at the Oakland Emeryville border. Would he do have word that the fire from we do have word that the fire from the construction site has spread to another building nearby. So firefighters are also battling what they call an exposure fire. And a fire building that was exposed to the original building fire. So they do have their hands full. This is already a six alarm response. With many units from all over the east bay. Coming in. To fight this fire. And we have two crews on the scene. But from our live pictures, you can see, what a devastating fire this was, to this construction site. And there is also a construct crane in the construction crane in the area that was in a precarious position. These are the firefighters on the roof trying to contain the fire. And another report from the scene coming up very soon. Traffic northerlily slow at the bay bridge toll plaza. Today, it is not that different. Traffic is backed up at the toll plaza for about a 20 minute delay. And i promised you a look at the highway 4 commute. It is going to be a little built slow here, coming in through pittsburgh and bay point and over the hill to concord. A normal commute here, for highway 4, and the east bay. Todays weather, it might be affected by a little bit of this smoke, at least in the short term, right, steve . That breeze will blow up already in the Berkeley Hills and we touched on that, i would think. We have a westerly wind. For many. And unless youre in the san jose area. And Santa Clara Valley, it is a southeast breeze. And if you go southeast, from san jose, toward morgan hill, to gilroy, hey, mr. Pete, the south breeze kicked in. So i can smell the garlic from gilroy. No kidding. This happens. I know it happens. When you get that south southeast breeze. And that has exactly been what is happening. San jose, downtown today, this is downtown, remember, closer to the airport, 75. And average is 84. 43 in 1902. San jose. But for most, it is a westerly component to that breeze. And water temperatures cooled off a little bit. And the fog has formed and inland temperatures continue to drop, drop, drop, the low clouds and fog, and not as widespread of coverage as we had yesterday and still plenty to go around. And south of concord, and west southwest delta breeze. And 40s and 50s. And a few 40s in the north bay for sure. Outside of napa, i know calistoga hills 46. And petaluma, 52. And mill valley, 51. And bodega bay. 49 degrees. And thats a pretty good little chill for this time of the year. And you can see the little system digging in there. And another one will start to work its way, a stronger one, friday night, into saturday. And so if you would like this kind of weather, this week is for you. And low clouds, sunny and breezy. And windy for some. And cool, belowaverage temperatures, and 60s, and 70s, and a few 80s. A lot of 70s in here, though, and fairfield and livermore in there at 79 degrees and morgan hill at 77. And even cooler i think friday into saturday. And it should be a little rebound on sunday. All right, i have to ask you, though, because people are asking me, they enjoy, for the most part a lot enjoy the cooler weather and it is summer and people want to head to the beach. It is not nice at the beach for a while, right . Not warm. Not even santa cruz is that warm and usually they are. Right, and not in this pattern. Not very sunny, either. And there are always areas on the coast that get the sun. A little micro climate, the banana belts that we talk about but for not most part on the cool side. The summer olympics is about a month away and coming up in 25 minutes, more on the security concerns still lingering in rio de janiero. Plus the owner of a Mcdonalds Restaurant is being sued by the government. For firing an employee. The rumors that led to the man losing his job. And why the equal Employment Commission is stepping in. In. Welcome back. To mornings on 2. We continue to follow that developing story, massive fire, along the Oakland Emeryville border. Here is a live picture from fox 2, overhead. We did just get the news that the fire has spread to a building next door. We do know that a town home complex across the street was also evacuated. As we zoom in there, so it looks like it has spread to possibly where people are living. Because that was a home under construction, or a building under construction. And that certainly looks like those townhouse or apartment were occupied or are occupied at the time. You can see firefighters up on the roof. Again, this is san pablo avenue. And near interstate 580. So continuing a developing story. We have been talking about a five story residential building. That was under construction. And this all started about 2 45 this morning. Right. And again, evacuations under way, at nearby buildings, and there is a home depot, there is a nordstrom rack, in the area. And if youre familiar with that area and now you can see more flames there now, as the helicopter overhead, fox 2, and the camera, is able to disoomg in disoomg zoom in a bit. You can see the extensive damage and they were hoping to have the fire contained at sunrise. But it still looks like a lot of work to be done. And they are going to be on the scene for quite a while. We have two reporters there on the scene as well. And several different perspectives, alex savage, this is our emeryville camera right now, and alex, savage, and brian flores, are both out there, covering this. And they are going to have live updates. And we are going to check in with them very soon. But again, here is a wider shot. You can see the extensive area that that is affecting, there is also a Shopping Complex nearby. Shopping complex. Yes. A Shopping Complex. A lot of offices. It is not next to it, but pixar is not too far away. Right. You can see how close it is to the maze, too. So smoke on the freeway. Yes, so on top of the fire, and everything else, traffic concerns. And air quality is impacted as well. And we saw the flames so close to power lines. And so there is a lot going on right now. And news chopper 2 is panning around, looking at the general area, showing us there is a lot going on, south, watching the commute, and we will bring you more information, as we get it. From what is happening, with that huge fire, it went to six alarms, in the Oakland Emeryville border area. All right, in other news, we are following for you this morning, a compton teenager is attempting to set a record for being the youngest African American to fly a plane around the continental u. S. Isaiah cooper left Southern California yesterday. Landed in sacramento. On his way to the state of washington. And he was introduced to flying a few years ago. Ed tomorrows air naught call museum am compton Aeronautical Museum in compton, he hopes to earn his license when he is 18 and for now he can only fly with an instructor and he is learning math and science in a fun way and wants to inspire others who might be afraid to have big dreams. A lot of kids dont like science and stuff and oh, it is hard and stuff and im like if i cant pass high school, i cant do this, because this is really Like High School and college and math and science. Boy, that is the key. Find something you want to do. The entire trip is expected to take eight day, and cooper says he plans to use this flight around the country as a warm isup for the next big adventure. And that would be a solo flight around the world. And solo. Solo. Of course after he earns his High School Diploma and license to supply. Way to go isaiah. The equal Employment Opportunity commission has filed a lawsuit accusing a mckinneys of firing a worker because he was hiv positive. The worker was fired in bentonville arkansas at the mcdonalds. The eeoc says the worker was fired after telling the restaurant manager about the hiv status and had an interest in a coworker. The lawsuit is seeking punitive damages as well as back pay. 6 28 is the time. Up next, we are going to go back to the fire at the Oakland Emeryville border. And we have crews on the scene. We are going to have a live report, and also, get an update from fire investigators there about the fire. Good morning, we are looking at a complete what is going to be mostly not impacted by the fire. But it is going to be getting busy. In some of the other east bay freeways. You look at the emeryville camera. You can see smoke coming up. But the freeway there looks okay. We will give you the roundup straight ahead. I just picked us up 2 breakfast croissants for 4, when this bear attacked. With one swipe, it devoured one of the croissants. Then jack showed up, and took care of the beast, so i could escape. And thats what happened to your breakfast croissant. And yours . It survived. Enjoy freshly cracked egg with ham and bacon. Or sausage. Two tasty croissants at an even tastier 4 price. Its a deal youll devour. Good morning. Welcome back. Thank you for joining us on july 6. Im dave clark. Im pam cook. 6. One of our busiest parts of the day. It is this fire we havent been following in the east bay. It continues to burn on the Oakland Emery bill border. We understand there are evacuations in place in the area. The fire has spread to a nearby next door building. Alex savage has been out there on the scene. People are concerned now, and it looked like from our helicopter shot, that the fire is burning, the buildings where people are currently living. Yes, this fire is, we can confirm, now, it has spread to that neighboring town home complex that we told you about. The original building that caught fire, it is a building under construction and obviously not occupied and the fire just a short time ago, president to some town homes that are right next door. And i want to bring in the batallion chief jim call with the almeda county Fire Department and as i speak to you, batallion chief, we are going to look at a live picture here from the drone that is being used as part of the fire fight. And we can see the original strush here on the lefthand side that was structure here that was on the lefthand side. That was under construction. And some of the flames spread to the town homes a short time ago. What are you doing to try to stop the spread of the water. The main body of the fire produce sod produced so much heat that it autoignited some of the town homes. It is a difficult fire to get to. It is in a lot of void spaces. Tight areas. So they are seeking those areas out. It is tightly packed in this area. Yes. We want to point out as we show you the live picture, the town homes were evacuated fully, early this morning, correct . Thats correct. That is always our number one priority, is life, and everyone is out, without injury. Okay. All right. And from moving forward here, you think you will be able to save the rest of these town homes . What is your view of it . We dont have the view back on but the two that were smoking, i think the crews are making their stand and they will hold it there. Right now, we are not anticipating any additional spread. Okay. All right. Thank you very much. Batallion chief jim call, with the almeda county Fire Department. And this fire, in the city of emeryville, technically, with the call from 3800 san pablo, and that is where that original building on fire, the fire started about 2 45. This morning. And we have resources here, Fire Departments have come in, from all across the east bay, and berkeley, and oakland, and among others. And trying to get a handle on the original fire, and they had it somewhat under control. But of course, as you just heard the batallion chief say, just the heat, from that original fire, it has ignited i dont know if you want to call it a second fire but it caught the adjacent town home on fire. Thats the big concern. Let me let you hear from someone who lives close by. And i talked with a gentleman who lives a couple of blocks away, about what he woke up to, early this morning. As this fire broke out. The embers were just raining down. Basically. You know, we were worried about the houses catching fire, downwind. And again, this gentleman lived a couple of blocks away. He told me that he was not evacuated. But of course, he and his neighbors were quite concerned about embers from this fire blowing toward their homes, and that was the big concern, obviously, from firefighters this morning. And again, now, we are showing, i believe we are showing a shot from up above, from the chopper, at this point, giving you an aerial look at this fire, and what is just taking place, is that we have had this fire, spread, from the original complex under construction, thats the original fire here, and now some town homes right next door, and they have also caught fire, but important to point out here, those town homes were already evacuated, early this morning. So nobody inside those town homes at this point. But those are peoples homes, and places where people were living, currently. So we are going to keep an eye on the situation, and give you any updates here on this fire that is continuing to spread. Here along the Emeryville Oakland border this morning. Hey, before you go real quick, i dont know if the chief is still close by, but i am trying to figure out if there are concerned they are enough man power to deal with all of that is happening this morning. I mean it certainly is a fair question. They have brought in resources from all over. And i think the chief, i will bring the batallion chief back in, and the batallion chief, and is this a matter of resources, do you need more resources . Do you have everything you need this this case am and it is a platter of the town homes being too close to the original fire . It was a large fire that started. Originally we had adequate resources. We have a really good mutual aid system within the county, so we drew from other agencies to assist. Due need any more help at this point you dont need any more help at this point . No, were good right now. All right, thank you very much. With the almeda county Fire Department, the fire chief and it is a fair question here, there are quite a few agencies from all across the east bay, and trying to get a handle on this fire, and it is a six alarm fire, and obviously, you know what that means, that means they are calling in basically all hands on deck, sort of a situation here, to try to get a handle on this thing. We will keep an eye on this fire, again, that is now burning through some of those town home, right next door to the original fire. We will let you know how the situation unfolds. And alex, it is not surprising, you said the heat from the fire is what spread to the other buildings and i mentioned it earlier, driving into work, i have never experienced this, and i could feel the heat, from the freeway, and i was very far away. Right. So the heat, you know, i wasnt here in the early stages to be perfectly honest. The early stages of the five from the time i have been of the fire, from the time i have been here, a good distance away but thats what i heard from the first firefighters to arrive at the scene, the heat was incredibly intense and thats what we heard from the People Living nearby. They could feel the heat from the fire when they stepped outside their doors this morning. That appears to be the situation, that you just had that radiant heat from this massive apartment complex that was under construction, when it caught fire, all of that radiant heat set the adjacent town home complex on fire and thats where we stand now. Thank you alex for the update you. 6 37. We want to show you some of the videos and the photos that we have seen. From people in the area. And again, as we said, the building was under construction. So imagine the fuel there of all of the wood, and burning here, is one video, and this is another picture, and you can see, sent in to us. From that angle from the street. You can see that the building was under construction. The size of the fire, though being shown in the pictures. Just incredible. And have you been sending us pictures, and videos, and we want you to keep doing that. And again, you can see, the intensity of it. And were on top of it in the ground and in the air. With you. And we will let you know the very latest of what is happening, near the oakland and emeryville border. Yes. Right there. Still affecting a lot of businesses. Sal is following our commute. What is happening in traffic, sal . I want to show you a picture from our sky fox. We can show you the fire in relationship to where the freeway is. And fortunately, it is not having a major impact now, as we pull back here, from this fire. And you can see, some of the town homes that alex was talking about in the fire report a few moments ago and you pull back and you can see the general area. San pablo area, obviously in an area to avoid, near the macarthur onramp to the freeway. But the freeway itself is not affected by any of this. And some people earlier were taking a look at the fire from the freeway, but this morning, now, as you can see, the freeway traffic, which is on right there, is moving by just fine. Lets move along to the bay bridge toll plaza, you will see a slowdown, the traffic is backed up for about a 20minute delay. And highway 24, and not a bad commute. And it is pretty good, as you pass the lafayette bart station, and get up to the caldecott tunnel. And we have been looking at the folsom value commute and right now a little bit of slow traffic here and there and show you the maps if we can here, and the traffic is going to be okay, on 101, and 280. And a little bit of slowing on 85. And so it is not completely wide open. And so far, so good. When it comes to this commute. Now, at 6 39. Lets go to steve. All right. Thank you, sal. We have a pretty cool pattern. Before we get to that is correct and also our low clouds, for those of you who are traveling, if you havent heard, there is a super typhoon that is barreling toward taiwan and should be there early their time, friday morning and it is a super typhoon. And winds 173 miles an hour. Gusting to 207. And 207. It is expected to weaken slightly. Slightly. But still by the time it arrives, around 145 milean hour winds with gusting at 167. It looks like it is barrels to taiwan. If have you travel plans or business, i know there are a lot of major hubs through taiwan. We will keep you updated. But early friday morning is when land fall is expected. Back home, san francisco, 62, 64. Average 57, 54. So they will be below, most inland low temperatures will also be below. Low clouds. Not as much of a coverage inland. But the fog along the coast. And the water temperatures have cooled off. That has certainly helped. Much colder compared to a year ago. Thats for sure. Around 60 degrees and now 50 to 55. And investigators say it is too early to determine exactly how this fire started. But again, it did start on a building that was under construction. In case youre just joining us, this all started about four hours ago. The flames, look at, this you could see this blocks away, miles away, and drivers on interstate 580, 880 and highway 24, could see it.
