The city of san jose after weeks of backlashes and threats of a lawsuit are throwing out dozens of controversial citations for illegal fireworks with almost 50 people getting a fine of 500 for setting off fireworks in june and july. We spoke with some of them that said they never had fireworks and they were wrongly cited. The citations were mailed out after being issued through the new online reporting tool that lets the neighbors make complaints without having to offer proof. The lawyer representing one of those cited has threatened legal action. It is an anonymous complaint which i think is a big problem that the city has with this ordinance. On tuesday the bulldozers moved in to tear down the tent city with dozens living in the tracks between 83rd avenue and 85th avenue on san leandro straight. The critics say it is harmless and illegal but the spokesperson for Union Pacific said the evictions were for safety reasons and that human pacific Union Pacific gave the homeless a full week notice. When we push in, when they are on extra slow we get a bigger back up at the toll plaza which is what is happening.
