Repealing obamacare first and then spending about two years coming up with a replacement. At the white house this morning, moving forward on a new plan for healthcare. President trump wrapping it up in a tweet. Republicans should just repeal feeling obamacare now and work on a new Healthcare Plan that will start from a clean slate. Dems will join in. That after Senate Republican leader Mitch Mcconnell had to nix his plan to repeal and replace obamacare after two more gop senators, mike lee of utah and jerry moran of kansas, said they would not back it. Joining others in opposition like senator rand paul of kentucky who now finds himself on the same page as the president. The one thing we should do is try to repeal as many of those taxes and regulations and mandates as we possibly can. I still think the entire 52 of us could get together on a more narrow, clean repeal. And i think it still can be done. Reporter the idea is to fully undo what president obama did back in 2010. But with a delay of two years to force congress to come up with a plan to address issues with Insurance Markets and medicaid. The democrats, the fact that the gop cannot get together on a replacement is telling. With Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer tweeting, this second failure of trumpcare is Proof Positive that the core of this bill is unworkable. We have jobs and economy, things we want to work on for the american people. Reporter as far as a time when is concerned, the Senate Majority leader will only say that he expects a boat to, this repeal effort in the coming days. As an alternative to governor browns 17 billion plan that calls for building twin tunnels that carry water from the Sacramento Delta to Southern California. Instead of pulling the tunnels, mcinerney wants to focus on conserving water and storing more water in the state. He also wants more money for new technology to spot leaks in city pipes. We do that by becoming more efficient with our water use. We do that by capturing stormwater and stopping leakage. This is a better approach. Supporters of governor browns plant city tunnels have been studied but added all options are on the table. Several water agencies and districts could decide in the coming months whether the project should move forward. State lawmakers voted to extend california capandtrade program until the year 2030. It was passed in both the senate and state assembly with democratic and republican support. The capandtrade requires companies to buy permits to release Greenhouse Gas emissions. Governor brown is praising republicans who crossed party lines in support of the legislation. That took all the marine kurds that he held in iraq to be able to say to people it isnt that bad and its a good bill. And republicans and democrats can vote for it. Republican lawmakers have been slow to support the legislation citing concerns it would lead to an increase in the cost to the middle class. Environmentalists say the deal is too soft on the Oil Companies. It looks like Caitlyn Jenner could run for one of californias senate seats at the republican.
