Things did get bloody and out of control. There were fights that broke out for donald trump protesters and supporters. It was very tense outside of the Convention Center. These groups taunted each other and police did come in riot gear. The groups were torn apart. Our crew did witness one trump supporter being knocked to the ground and they were told the clashes over. There were incidents of people stealing trump hats off of peoples heads and burning them. There was a female trump supporter who had brought eggs thrown at her. She was making gestures at demonstrators. A lot of emotion. Its a reflection of people not willing to accept that a person who is running for presidency has the ideals that represents that kind of hate. This represents the people standing up and not willing to take it. There were people from both sides who were frustrated with the violence and try to stop it. Police try to maintain control but it became difficult because parts of the crowd was putting in Different Directions and they even took over the street around the Convention Center blocking traffic. They are checking the background of the 44yearold suspect gerald the a beer junior, the subject of a manhunt. You may have seen it yesterday, he had barricaded himself in a home in fremont and it caught fire. Authorities later found his body inside and reporter Christien Kafton is live in fremont once again. Reporter as you may imagine a lot of investigations underway and we are getting a chance to hear the dispatch center and police communicating yesterday. We need all units. I have a head injury. That sound coming from wednesday afternoon. Police pulled the suspect over near a safeway supermarket for a traffic stop in there was a gunbattle that injured a rookie officer. Other officers chased the suspect and a second detective was hit in that gunfire. A manhunt led to a standoff wednesday night into thursday morning after negotiations failed. Swat teams fired rounds of two grass at the home teargas at the home. This is that died in the gunbattle. We determined he was in the building and was deceased. We also located a firearm at the residence that we believe to be the weapon used in the attacks. Police said they also arrested two of his accomplices who were riding in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop. The officers were still recovering from their injuries. The next few hours will be critical in determining what his fate will be. The other officer in stable condition suffering from a gunshot wound. The principle of Deer Valley High School says an armed man robbed a student of his cell phone. He was walking on the trail that runs behind the Antioch Community center. The state must decide whether talks between alameda schools and teachers are at an impasse.
