Representatives say they were married and left behind a baby. Investigators are still looking for a motive at that shooting. Fourteen people were kimed. The two were killed in a gun battle with police after they fought at them as they were driverring in their black suv hours after the shooting. Published reports say falook had attended a Holiday Party there held by his employer. The county Public Health department, and that he left angry after some sort of dispute. He is now suspected of returning within a half hour with his wife, both dressed in military style clothing and open fire. Last night, a robot was used to conduct a slow cautious search so a house connected to farook. The concern was that there may be booby traps. The police chief addressed early letter ports that there were three smooters. We initially put out that we had ininformation that there were upwards of three shooters. Right now, as we continue to drill down our information and witness statements that behave, it locks like we have two shooters that were pretty comfortable. The two shooters we believe went into the build willing the two shooters that are deceased. In another story this morning, there are questions about a deadly officerinvolved shooting in San Franciscos Bay View District district. It involves five searching for a stabbing suspect. Vu fox 2 reporter joins us now in San Francisco. There is at least one video. The Police Department knows this Instagram Video exists of the confrontation, and they are examining it. It shows a man surrounded by five Police Officers in the Bay View District. Police say he was holding a knife and he was believerred to be a suspect in a tabbing stabbing that occurred earlier yesterday afternoon. Officers told him to drop the knife that he was momenting and when he didnt, they deployed a bean bag gun. It struck him but had no affect. Police say they also used pepperspray which also didnt have any affect on the man. Then they used a Higher Powered bean bag gun to disarm him. It knocked him to the ground. This suspect had demonstrated by committing a felony aggravated assault. He could not be allowed to move away from the scene. Police say the suspect moved toward one of the officers Still Holding the knife and that is when they fired several shot which has captured in this video as a person with the camera. Ducks for cover. That suspect died at the scene. The San Francisco Police Public defender. He told the chronicle that after watching the video, it doesnt appear the officer who filed the fatal shot was in immediate danger of being killed. He doesnt think that deadly no, sir was needed. Army says two of its pilots were killed in rural tennessee when their helicopter crashed. They were flying an apatche helicopter on what was supposed to be a routine training mission. It crashed and was found in a riverbed about 60 mimes northwest of nashville. It was on fire when these emergency teams first arrived. The cause of the crash is being investigated. The helicopter and pilots were based in fort cambell, kentucky. No other details about the pilots are being released until their families are being notified. Police detained five new jersey 5 agent gladiers for reportedly plotting an attack on a high school during a field trip. Police say they brought a device to school yesterday. They were planning on using it at clifton high school. Authorities say staff at the Elementary School found written plans on how this alleged attack would take place and they called the police. The police determined that device contained only cinnamon and vinegar. Those students were released to the custody of their parents. All five of the students were suspended. The state Supreme Court is set to decide whether consumers can sue over organic labeling under california law. Loretta lynch is expected to discuss the attack in the next hour during a white house summit planned weeks ago regarding criminal justice. San bernadinos mayor was asked in a Television Interview whether the shootings were linked to terrorism. Mayor davis would only say that the investigation is still ongoing. There are several crime scenes to examine including the center where the shooting took place, the road where gun battle occurred between the suspects and police, and the suspects home in redland. Now, the suspects were killed in that gun battle, and they have been identified as 28yearold farook and 27yearold malik. Relatives say they were married and left blind a sixmonthold daughter. Relax. Reporter yes, and as you can imagine, there are emotional harrowing accounts of how people survivorred and escaped. Hundreds of people barricaded themselves in their offices for hours while the rampage raged autopsy. Once it was safe for people to lever their offices and buildings at the complex, survivors were shuttled to a nearby Community Center to be reunited with anxious family members. Some of them recounted their experiences. One woman who says she and 50 of her coworkers lay on the floor of their office for hours. I was numb. I didnt know what to do or say. I was just numb. I was just in disbelief. I calmed my kids and said if something happens to me, theres a shooting here, just be safe. What else can i do . Shock and disbelief alts being reflected in some of the local papers in the San Bernadino area. Here is a look at some of the front pages. The sun with the headline reading horiffic. It says quote god isnt fixing this. Apparently a reference to the tweets sent by Republican Leaders in the aftermath of the shooting offering prayers to the victims. A major Training Exercise . The purpose . To bring together local, state, and federal First Responders and learn how to deal with emergencies just like Mass Shootings. Now, we talked to Alameda County sheriff sergeant nelson. He striked described what its like to arrive at the scene of a fluid and possibly deadly confrontation. Law enforcement has to figure out who the players are in a situation. Do you have to get witnesses and get them to the site. If you have suspects, youre going to have to encounter them. Its a very difficult situation. Next years you are been bah shield training will include a scenario based like on what happened yesterday in San Bernadino. The scene of the San Bernadino mass shooting is one of 231 Regional Centers that provides services for the developmentally disabled. The people who work at the Golden Gate Office say theyre stunned by what happened in San Bernadino. These centers provide help for children and adults who have mental disabilities, autism, uncontrollable epilepsy or severe vie brail palsy. The clients come in for an assessment and they meet criteria, theyre deemed eligible for services. Children that are coming in are typically getting occupation gnat they are occupational therapy, physical therapy, Speech Therapy so they wont have life long disabilities. Older people are provided with job training, housing, how use public transportation, those kinds of things. Now, the Golden Gate Center serves San Francisco, marin and san mateo counties. Back here in the bay area, cell phone video of San Francisco Police Officers shooting and killing a stabbing suspect is once again raising questions about the use of deadly force by police. Now, just the before 5 00 yesterday evening, Someone Called Police to report a stabbing in the bayview district. Police found the stabbing suspect and a witness recorded this video. It was posted on an Instagram Account and shows several San Francisco officers circling a man that the officers say was armed with a knife. Police told him to drop the knife. The chief says officers followed standard procedures when he didnt. And that includes trying to stop him from leaving the area because they believed he presented a threat to them and to the entire community. And this suspect had already demonstrated by committing a felony aggravated assault that he was a danger to others so he could not be allowed to move away from the scene. Witnesses say the man was backing away from police when they opened fire. The man died at the scene. No information about him is being released at this point. The five officers are on administrative leave while the incident is being investigated. And the San Francisco Police Commission has approved new rules for the use of bodyworn cameras by officers. The president of the San Francisco Police Officers Association Says the rules last night will allow officers to view the video for daytoday incident reports. But if there is a Critical Incident like an officer involved shooting or happen an in custody death, the police chief or his des eggnee will make the decision as to whether the officer can view any part of that video. The department is hoping to have the body cameras in use sometime next year. Your time now is 5 38. More staffing and more supervision. They are among the new changes coming to the main jail in san jose. Now, this comes after an investigation from the santa clar ash county Sheriffs Office found a majority of the use of force complaints were made against a specific shift. Ktvu smith explains. Nearly four months after inmate Michael Tyree was found beaten to death in his jail cell allegedly at the hands of three Correctional Officers, Santa Clara County sheriff lorie smith says an investigation found what she calms a troubler troubling cluster of complaints from the d shift. D team is the least senior. The night shift from 6 00 p. M. To 6 00 a. M. They work most of the decree weekends. Its generally the junior people indeluding supervision and management. 43 of use of force complaints came in the d shift. Thirtyeight for the of selfreported use of force incidents incidences where Correctional Officers are required to document any force on an inmate were also from the dshift considered the busiest shift. All of the victims had to get rabies shouts. Health Officials Say the squirrel probably does not have rabies. They also say the squirrel must have been raised or fed by people. That is why its not afraid of humans. It probably was one squirrel who was hand raised and what that does to a wild animal is it takes away their natural fear of human.
