The lines are longer than normal. The roads will be more crowded than they normally are as well because of this. You are looking at the bay bridge toll plaza. Its very full. Not only on 80 but on the ramps from 580 and 880. Again, no surface on b. A. R. T. Caltrain at millbrae, stopping. Some of the trains are stopping making extra stops to pick up people at the caltrain station in millbrae because it shares the station with b. A. R. T. Muni is a good way to get downtown. Weve been reporting. Theres no b. A. R. T. Service until further notice. A major computer problem overnight led to a systemwide shutdown and tens of thousands of bay area commuters are looking for another way to get to work or school. Ktvus Tara Moriarty joins you live from the west oakland b. A. R. T. Station. We just got an email from b. A. R. T. , its not good news. Reporter no, not at all. They are saying absolutely no b. A. R. T. Service for the entire morning. So all of the people that are waiting behind me, theyve not received the news yet. Theyve been Milling Around the ticket machines all morning long trying to tough it out. But basically, they are out of luck. You can see there is a lot of folks sitting on the bench waiting. A lot of people waiting. Still, no time frame from b. A. R. T. As to when this computer glitch will be fixed. Officials say the Computer Systems in Central Control are not communicating properly with the traffics which is so. Train operators and track crews are having to manually crank switches. Getting out of the tracks to try to route the train. This happened shortly before hid night so before midnight. Be patient. Were working hard to get this resolved. We dont want to have a series of promises that we cant meet. Thats why were saying no service until we can meet it. I dont have a prognosis when that can be. Reporter 19 trains with 500 to 1,000 people were initially affected. The trains stopped running at 3 00 a. M. Theyve been down ever since. The states you cant get up on the platform. Really theres no need to since b. A. R. T. Has announced no Train Service at all this morning of the were live in west oakland, Tara Moriarty, ktvu channel 2 news. Those pictures say it all. Strong winds around the bay area causing some very dangerous situations. At least two people were killed. Thousands more are waking up this morning with no electricity. Ktvus Claudine Wong live in oakland. You have seen a lot this morning. Oakland has had a lot of damage. Reporter theres damage across the city. Weve been driving around and seeing trees down everywhere, debris. No cleanup crews. We know they are out. But they are so busy and the list is so long. The damage used to sit in this yard but fell about 10 00 last night according to neighbors and when it came down, it took out a car, yes, there is a car right underneath the bulk of that tree and then stretched over here and when it came over here. Took down quite a few power lines. This neighborhood has been without power since late last night. I talked to a resident who lives in the home where the tree was standing and she describes what she heard. Last night, i was because i heard all of the winds. When i looked outside, all of the leaves and stuff were going crazy. I was thinking like [bleep] hopefully it doesnt fall and then it fell. I heard a crash and a big spark. The kids ran out. The lights were out. Thats when we came outside. Reporter when you saw this, what did you think . Its gonna be fub. We are watching out looking at all of the wires. Trying to be careful. Reporter and we certainly know how dangerous and how deadly the night was in the city of oakland. Two people killed. One person on football in austin. He was apparently standing outside on the street when the winds knocked down power lines and one of them hit him electrocuting him and killing hill. On skyline boulevard, what happened there, another fatality. A driver coming down the street severe everybodied and swerved and hit and killed the driver. The concern, the winds are still blowing. Theres a lot of debris. You take a look at the power lines. Thats what residents are worried about. Pg e was out here when we got out here a short time ago, but then they left. Residents say Oakland Police came out here and simply said we called it in. I talked to an Oakland Police officer. He said this is the scene across the city. They are trying to keep up. They are trying to clear certain areas, major thoroughfares. They try to make sure the area is saved. The power is out. Everyone will have to be very, very patient today. Live in oakland, Claudine Wong, ktvu channel 2 news. Thank you. At one time last night, close to 60,000 pg e customers were without power in the bay area. Pg e gave us the latest numbers moments ago. 10,000 customers still do not have electricity in the south bay. Power is out to approximately 6600 customers in the north bay. At one point, nearly 20,000 did not have electricity in Sonoma County. The outage is currently affecting 49 customers on the peninsula and there are 17 customers who dont have power in the south bay. Pg e blames the winds for taking downed power lines and causing transformer issues. It will take hours before power is fully restored. 7 08. We have new information about the developing news from napa county. Crews are getting the upper hand on a big windwhipped grass fire there. It started last late night just off soto canyon road. We spoke live here on ktvu to a calfire spokeswoman. She said crews are beginning to win the battle against the huge flames. The fire is now 300 acres. Its about 50 contained. We have no word of any injuries and the fire has not burned any homes. However, the Sheriffs Department issued mandatory Evacuation Orders for dozens of families in napa county. That order is for people who live along loma vista, shady oaks and ridge drives as well as on soto springs and chimney rock roads. Still not clear when the order will be lifted. Viewers are sending us amazing photos of the wind storm damage. In oakland, there was some frightening moments for the ortega family when a tree crashed onto a cottage in the rear of their home. It happened late last night near kaiser hospital. Everyone is safe but power was knocked out. This is a photo from a viewer. It reads in part, as a family, we are deeply disturbed by the horrific behaviors that have taken place against our son. Our immediate focus is his protection. We have taken a stand on this matter. Our response prompted the community to be alerted of the apailing conduct of the students involved. We appreciate the outpouring of support. And weve learned that a fourth student will be charged today tormenting an africanamerican student who lived with them. The students and victim all lived from the same suite on campus. The white students are accused of confining the freshman with a bike lock around his neck as well as using racial taunts and hanging a flag in the window of their living area. Three students have been charged with misdemeanor, hate crime and battery by the District Attorney charges. People are taking time to remember president j. F. K. In other news concern about a man held against will in north korea. 85yearold Merrill Neuman of palo alto went to north korea last month but was pulled off a plane and has been detained ever since. Secretary of state john kerry says it is another disturbing choice by the pyongyang government. Other Officials Say this hipedders efforts to restart negotiations over north Koreas Nuclear program. The u. S. Is downplaying claims by the president of the Central African republic that hes negotiating the surrender of joseph coney. The president said hes negotiating with coney and that his government had complied with a request from kony for food supplies. U. S. Officials say theres no reason to believe that kony is part of the negotiations. Students in san jose, you may be spending more time in class. City councilman sam lakardo is launching an online petition to extend the school day for Public School students. Hes hoping to get in on the ballot. He says a longer school day would help prepare many students for college. He says that would also reduce crimes since kids would be spending more time in class and less time out on streets. Theres no word on how much longer he would like to extend that school day. In just a couple of hours, Oakland International airport will officially open its new air Traffic Control tower. Work on that new tower has taken more than two years. Now its 236 feet tall, it replaces two older towers. Oaklands airport received a 33 million federal grant to pay for it. The tower has received a gold environmental rating from the Green Building council. Looking for a new investment how about 49ers tight end vernon davis . This particular problem on 680 is because Police Activity southbound 680 near washington. 680 is a mess heading into san jose because of Police Activity and its going to be there for a while. Do not take the sunol grade or 680 if you can avoid using that. Use 238 to 580 to 880. Lets take a look at the route on the first of all, lets take a look at the bay bridge toll plaza, its sold out. Jam packed because of people getting in the car getting into San Francisco. This is much busier than normal. 30 to 45minute b. A. R. T. Delays. I talked about 880 as an alternate to 680 but its slow as well. More people on the roads, windy conditions and b. A. R. T. Is not operating, at least in full service. Now were getting word that some trains are running. Lets go to steve. Still a wind advisory out. A patch of low clouds making for a beautiful sunrise for those of you listening. The Scientists Say too much water is being pumped out of the underground water system in the central valley. They say the ground is dropping as much as a food every year foot every year in some places. Usgs scientist Michelle Snead says that means canals and aquaducts are not flowing the way they should. The rain could fall, we could capture more, then the ground water levels wouldnt fall. A spokesman for the Pacific Institute says agriculture and growing populations in both the northern and southern part of california are using more water. He adds there are no laws that regulate ground water use. Just for the holidays, google is opening six popup stores around the country. The nearest one to us is in roseville, just east of sacramento. Traffic is very, very slow at the toll plaza and approaching the bay bridge. This is affecting traffic in Contra Costa County and on highway 880. If you want an alternate, use the san mateo bridge. That looks pretty good. There is a small delay there. But its not been as bad as other days. Its very gusty and windy as steve has been mentioning. 880 is slow, very slow from 238 heading down to union city. Southbound 680 is slow because of Police Activity. Lets go back to the desk. As you heard sal say, were following the breaking news about this mornings shutdown of the entire b. A. R. T. System trains. We saw them live a minute ago. Finally, starting to run on b. A. R. T. Full Service Expected within the next hour. You also heard sal say expect delays. Now, jim alison held a News Conference just a couple of minutes ago. Were beginning service again. Its about 50 capacity to begin with. Well ramp up over the next hour to 100 capacity. By 8 15 or 8 30 or so we should be back at full capacity. Again, thats jim allison of b. A. R. T. A computer problem late last night will cause a system wide shutdown of b. A. R. T. The situation is slowly improving every minute. Even as b. A. R. T. Many passengers are definitely fed up. Theyve had to deal with a b. A. R. T. Strike. There was that b. A. R. T. Fire, b. A. R. T. Train fire in late october at the orinda station that caused heavy delays. Now you have the computer glitch. Its really frustrating. I feel like when i get off my stakes at the embarcadero, the es off my station at embarcadero, the escalators are not working. Im like didnt they just get a 12 raise . Are you kidding me . Reporter we spoke to one passenger who was here since about 3 30. He was able to finally get a ride to work in the city as well. Happening now theres a massive cleanup underway this morning from the mess that was created by last nights wind storm. Some car owners must find some other way to get to work as trees fell on top of their cars like this one in oakland. Janine de la vega joins us now with the damage elsewhere in the east bay. Good morning, janine. Reporter good morning. Well, the winds were so strong last night that it blew over this sign showing the prices at the world gas station. You know, its very heavy. So that tells you how powerful the gusts were. Fortunately, it didnt injure anyone. Just damage to the sound and the plants below. There were numerous reports of trees down throughout concord that came down last night when winds were blowing hard. This tree uprooted and toppled over into the street. It damaged the gate, bending the iron bars at the apartment complex where it was growing. It also started one man walking on the sidewalk when he says it came crashing down in front of him. It took off this whole lane right here all the way to the next curb. Tried to take a picture. It was too dark. Hopefully theres nobody out here that got blocked off. Vehicles going around. Buses. Reporter earlier this morning, the winds were blowing about 30, who miles an hour. Heres video that we took earlier showing everything blowing around. Winds have decreased and are about 12, 28 miles an hour. Its expected to die down more today. I just spoke to the director of public works who says that crews were out overnight taking care of the damage. They are meeting right now trying to assess what they still need to clean up. One of the things sals been talking about all morning, the chp issued a wind advisory at the bridges including the bay bridge, benicia, car key knees and san mateo bridges. You are being urged to lose a lot of caution. Slow down. You will feel the winds. The chp warns to keep both hands on the steering wheel. It could be bumpy as you go through the wind gusts, especially on a bridge. 7 38. Our other big story this morning is also windrelated. A big grass fire burning in napa county. According to calfire, about 40 to 50 people had to be evacuated this morning because the fire was making its way towards some homes. Ktvus pam cook spoke to calfire and joins us from the newsroom. Reporter the wind fueled this grass fire in napa county. The good news from calfire is that the winds have died down there a bit at this hour. I just spoke to calfire. 20 to 30 homes were threatened bid fire in the soda canyon area north of the city of napa. A fire captain says firefighters made great progress in keeping the fire away from the homes. Theres also concern for wineries. Im unaware of any wineries threatened. There are a lot of the vineyards in the area. Well have a better idea now that its daylight on what were dealing with. Reporter were checking in with calfire now that it is to daylight. The fire started late last night near soda canyon road. Dwroen to more than 300 acres or so. At last check, its about 50 contained. They have definitely made progress. When we went on the air at 4 30 it was only 30 contained. No reports of any injuries. Thats the good news as well. Soda canyon is closed. Silverado trail is open from what we understand. Happening today its sentencing day for convicted 79 yearold serial killer joseph naso. He faces a possible death sentence when he goes before a young in marin county at 9 00 this morning. Earlier, a jury convicted him of killing four women in Northern California. The crimes dating back to the 1970s. Naso lived in reno and acted as tis own lawyer at the trial. He repeatedly denied that he killed those women. A late sawmaker will introduce a bill a state lawmaker will introduce a bill to put restrictions on toy guns. A Sonoma County sheriffs deputy mistook a teens toy gun for a real assault rifle. The bill by state senator noreen evans would be required the guns be painted a bright color. Critics say this violates Constitutional Rights of gun owners. The holidayer travel season kicks into full gear today at airports across the bay area. San Francisco International says it expects today will be its busiest day for the upcoming thanksgiving holiday with 130 passengers coming and going. About 1. 2 Million People are expected to pass through sfo from today through december 1st. Passengers are being told to allow extra time to check in and get through the security checkpoints. Mineta airport is also expecting a big rush. The airport is predicting a 5 increase in passengers over the thanksgiving holiday. The airport advises travelers to check in online, review the tsa security procedures and alou plenty of time at the procedure allow plenty of time at the airport. New reaction from parents of a san jose state freshman who was the victim of what prosecutors are calling a hate crime. Plus new information on a new suspect about to be charged in the case. Many americans remember exactly where they were on the day president john f. Kennedy was assassinated 50 years ago. Around the country, remembrance ceremonies are being held. To put all of this into perspective for you, this ceremony is taking place basically in the exact same spot where president kennedy was assassinated some 50 years ago. People have already started to gather on the grassy knoll, this is where he spent the last moments of his life and now its where he will be remembered today. Reporter this man was a 32 yearold reporter for the dallas morning news. He witnessed the assassination. It was pandamonium. Headlines reflect the pain, anger and confusion of the time. Eventually, people across the country began to say, well, is dallas the city of hate . Are we blaming dallas for the killing of j. F. K. . Reporter many are marking the anniversary of the assassination by reliving that fateful day looking up at that infamous 6th floor window. And taking tours like this one helping people understand what it was like to be here in dallas on that day some 50 years ago. Right here is where the shot rang out. Yesterday, they voted to reject the tentative contract agreement unless the leave prevision was taken out. Union members say the vote is illegal and they are weighing their options. If you are driving on the freeways, 880 is slow, heading south. We had an earlier crash southbound 680 on the sunol grade. A car breaking down on the bay bridge could mean waiting for hours to get help if you wind up in one specific parking lot. Some drivers say they waited more than five hours for a tow truck at the parking lot thats just east of the toll plaza. Caltrans says a wait that long, thats unusual. The drivers who break down may not be able to tell tow truck dispatchers exactly where they are. Sometimes the dispatchers will want to know the street address. People may not know or know how to describe the street address at the toll plaza. Caltrans recommends drivers call 511 to ask for freeway help for a tow if you are ever stranded. Many skiers will head to tahoe and snowboarders. Right now, the only lift open is boreil. Heaven will open. Reporter a huge mess in this oakland neighborhood as this huge tree comes crashing down taking with it power lines and causing damage and this isnt the only place we found problems inspect city. A little bit in the east bay, south bay. Overall, sunny, brierezy to windy. Not as bad as overnight. A few clouds around. But the wind will be decreasing. Even though it will be blustery, highs anywhere from 60s, 70s to mid70s. Heres sal. The b. A. R. T. System was not running for the longest time. More people are on the roads. They came to the toll plaza, now were beginning to see some improvement we got lucky because on friday sometimes the Traffic Volume is lighter. Were thinking that may help us out a little bit later on. Southbound 680s that been rough 680, thats been rough. There are a couple of fender benders. Southbound 680 near sheridan there is an injury accident in the right lane. On the peninsula, the traffic is going to be busy as you drive. 101. 2880 is a better option. Its clear as you drive burlingame down to san mateo county. As weve been reporting. B. A. R. T. Trains have begun to run again after a some wide shutdown. Full service is expected later this hour. Tara moriarty has been following this since 4 30 this morning. She joins us with live updates from the west oakland b. A. R. T. Station. Reporter were here at the west oakland b. A. R. T. Place on the platform, where you can see this train is pulling out. A lot of folks standing on the platform had a real up and down morning, a lot of them, very frustrated with everything thats been going on here. B. A. R. T. Was able to fix its system wide computer glitch at 7 15 this morning. They started at 50 capacity. Theyve been ramping up service. We should be fully restored in the next 15 minutes to a half an hour. Now we caught the first train pulling in and out of here. It was obviously quite the wait for some people who were standing around just very frustrated but Officials Say the Computer Systems and Central Control were not communicating properly with the tracks. Train operators and track crews were having to route the trains and that was time consuming. Technical problem happened shortly before midnight. 19 trains with almost 1,000 people on board were affected. Those passengers experienced delays up to two hours long. Obviously b. A. R. T. Doesnt want to have that problem. Trains stopped running at 3 00 a. M. Here we are four hours later and they will back on track. Things should be completely normal at 8 30 this morning. Those winds got to 50 miles an our or more, claudine. Reporter they caused a mess in and around oakland. In this neighborhood, they are still without power. This is the reason why. This huge tree came crashing down and when it did, it took quite a few power lines with it. There are quite a few downed wires. It took out this car that was right in its path. Where did this tree come from . Well, it used to sit in the front yard of this home. We talked to a woman who lived there and who says she was home when this happened and she described what she heard. My room is right there in the front. So i seen it from my window. Reporter how loud was it . Really loud. Like a boom like a [bleep] big noise. Reporter things are booming all around oakland last night. Weve been driving around the city since very early this morning and found downed trees in multiple places on freeway offramps, on major thoroughfares. A lot of places, the cleanup crews had not arrived. In some places, Oakland Police were keeping an eye on things, making sure no one got hurt. But waiting for hours for people to come by. It was a deadly night, two people lost their lives overnight because of these wind storms. Want to take you over to foothill and austin so you can see what it looked like there last night. About 8 00 last night, a man was standing on the street when the wind knocked down power lines. One of the lines hit him. He was electrocuted and killed. On skyline, another fatality. A driver was going down the street, swerved to avoid debris in the street, hit a tree head on and that accident killed him. We have two accidents. A lot of people affected by this huge wind event that weve had overnight and into this morning. Where we are, the winds have died down. If we come back out here live, this is apprentice avenue. The cleanup is going to take a very long time. Neighbors out here say they had an Oakland Police officer come by at one point, let them know he called it in. We did see a pg e truck briefly for a short time. This is not going to be an easy cleanup. It will take a long time. They do not have power. People will be feeling the effects of this for quite a while. Live in oakland, Claudine Wong, ktvu channel 2 news. Because of those Power Outages well keep mentioning the time. The time is 8 06. We have new information about developing news from napa county. Crews are getting the upper hand on a big windwhipped grass fire. This started late last night just off soda canyon road. We did check in with calfire. She says crews are starting to wind the battle against this big fire. Its now 300 acres. Its 50 contained. Theirs no word of theres no word of any injuries. The fire has not burned any homes. But a mandatory Evacuation Order is still in effect. That order is for people who live along loma vista, shady oaks, and ridge drives as well as on soda springs and chimney rock roads. It will stale in effect for at least the stay in effect for at least the next couple of hours. It all depends on the weather. At one time last night, close to 60,000 pg e customers were without power in the bay area. But we just received the latest numbers from pg e a few minutes ago. 13,000 customers still do not have electricity in the east bay. Power is out to approximately 4500 customers in the north bay. At one time, nearly 20,000 did not have electricity in Sonoma County. The outages currently affecting 56 customers on the peninsula and there are nine customers who dont have power in the south bay. Pg e blames the winds for taking down power lines and causing traps former issues. It will take hours before power is fully restored. Viewers are sending us some amazing photos of the wind storm damage. In oakland, there are some frightening families for the ortega family when a high tree crashed into a cottage in the rear of their home. It happened late last night near kaiser hospital. Everyone is safe. Power was knocked out. This is a photo from tony. It reads the family went on to be say there are new reports that a fourth San Jose State University student will be charged today in that hate crime case. If that happens, a total of four white students would be accused of racially bullying an africanamerican roommate. Reportedly among other things, a bike lock was attached to his neck and a Confederate Flag was hung in their shared room in the campus. One student says the flag was only recently taken down and that he considered it offensive. Theres not a lot of African American students here. In most of my classes, im usually the only African American student. I kind of feel like im always being watched like. Three students have been charged with misdemeanor hate crimes and battery. All three were suspended. 8 10. San Francisco State is dealing with its own race and relige on issues religion issues. Critics call a message anti semitic. The Palestinian Group calls accusations baseless and says its members are the victims of a smear campaign. But San Francisco states president issued a statement saying theres no place for celebrating violence or promoting intoll cans, big gotry or anti bigotry or antisemitism. In afghanistan, tribal elders are going over a Security Agreement with the United States that lays out a plan to keep up to 15,000 american troops in afghanistan after the plan withdrawal of foreign troops next year. Afghan president karzai is urging the council to approve the Security Agreement. But he also says he would prefer that his successor sign it after the elections in april. Now, that surprised the u. S. White house spokesperson says president obama wants the Security Agreement approved and signed by afghanistans government by the end of this year. 8 15. House Speaker John Boehner is signed up for obamacare after tweeting his frustration with the process. Boehner says he had to restart the process several times. He tweeted photos of him at the computer and wrote about receiving multiple error messages. Boehner said he had to call into the help desk for the washington, d. C. Health Insurance Exchange. He says a few hours later, he got a call back and was able to successfully complete the process. The board that oversees the covered California HealthInsurance Exchange voted not to go along with president obamas offer to extend healthcare plans set to expire at the end of the year. President obama has said each state could decide if it wants to allow Insurance Companies to renew those policies for more than one year, actually for one more year. Investigators say a 16yearold student stabbed his teacher several times using a metal mechanical pencil. The teacher suffered very serious injuries but is expected to fully recover. A. R. T. They said im just gonna get into my car. This is what happened. Its just ridiculous out there. If you can put it off, please do. Lets take a look at some live pictures. Bay bridge still very slow so the backup is more than we can estimate. At the toll plaza itself, its maybe a 30minute delay. Getting there is another story. If you are driving in san jose, the south bay, that has been actually doing pretty well. Northbound 280 gets up to the 880 interchange. It looks okay. The south bay has not been as feactsed by this affected by this. There is a new crash in fremont near var gis. Theres been a few crashes there this morning. Lets go to steve. Trains are running again after trains prevented picking up any passengers for the first couple of hours of the commute. Full service on b. A. R. T. Expected at any moment. B. A. R. T. s spokesman jim allison told us why it took so long to fix that computer problem. Train operators had to get out of the train, go down on the tracks, use a crank and move the rails into the proper alignment of that train could be moved. Now, a computer problem late last night led to a shutdown of the entire system. Even as b. A. R. T. Trains are finally running, there are a lot of b. A. R. T. Riders who are angry and frustrated of. They say first the b. A. R. T. Strike then the shut down. Brian flores is at the hayward station. Youve been out there a while and youve heard an awful lot out there. Reporter i sure did, dave. It was not good news, at least from commuters this morning who are angry about this latest computer glitch that happened this morning. But listen, look, theyve these commuters have gone through a lot in the past few month, the b. A. R. T. Strike and this comur glitch did not help computer glitch did not help matters. About an hour ago, as you mentioned, we saw the first b. A. R. T. Trains running this morning. We also saw the first b. A. R. T. Passengers going through the turnstiles at the b. A. R. T. Station. Some passengers had been there since 4 00 a. M. Many waited it out looking at their cell phones, getting whatever information they could to see how they could get to work, school wherever they needed to go. This is another glitch for b. A. R. T. Passengers were already frustrated with the b. A. R. T. Strike. They are tired of the bickering between unions and management when it came to this glitch in the tentative agreement and this morning the delay on the system because of a computer glitch, commuters basically, they are over it. Ive been here since 4 00 a. M. The first guy here. Theres no way to get to San Francisco. Pretty much hoping that they fix it in a couple of hours. I hope so. Its really frustrating. I feel like, you know, when i get off my station at the embarcadero, the the escalators are not working. Im like didnt they just get a 12 raise . Are you kidding me . Everything is going haywire. Reporter in terms of this computer glitch, it was first reported around midnight. Commuters say it was much worse than a strike because at least with a strike you had time to prepare. They didnt know until now the system was down. This system will be up at full capacity. Sometime later on this morning. But a lot of frustrated b. A. R. T. Passengers throughout the morning as well. Coming up in 15 minutes, what Union Leaders plan to do today and what they say about the possibility of another strike. A massive cleanup is underway to clean up all of the mess. Falling debris continues to block roads while a few car owners must find a way to get around. In oakland, you can barely see a white automobile covered with all of the crush. Were here at pixie land, where a parks crew came out and hauled this large tree branch that came crashing down. It was in the entrance of pixieland but they had to move it out of the way. Public work crews still have not arrived to chop it up. This is one of the several incidents that occurred overnight. Lets go to video. This is surveillance camera video from the world gas station on clayton road in concord that shows the power of the wind. You can see the large sign in the upper right corner of the streen show screen showing the gas prices. It toppled over because it was so windy. Fortunately, no one was injured. It damaged the sign and plants underneath it. The owner is calling out a crew to repair it. Winds were gusting 30, who miles an hour in the area in thoring. You can see this morning. You can see from the video how it blew around the trees and flags. Swaying a little bit as im walking home. Picture yourself tilting to the side. Reporter on detroit, the wind blew down a tree. It damaged the apartment complex where it was growing. Winds have died down compared to what they were. They are now between 12 to 28 Miles Per Hour. They are expected to decrease later today. And back out here, you you are looking at a live picture where you can see the its sort of a gentle wind thats happening. But again, it did cause some damage throughout the city and public work crews are sort of assessing it this morning. A lot of it they were able to clean up last night. Naso lived in reno he acted as his own lawyer during the trial and repeatedly denied that he killed those women. This morning a state lawmaker from santa rosa will introduce legislation that would put new restrictions on toy guns. The proposed law is a response to last months Fatal Shooting of 13yearold andy lopez. A Sonoma CountySheriffs Department mistook the toy gun for a real ak47 assault rifle. The bill by Democratic State senator noreen evans would require the guns be painted a bright color. Critics say this violates the stutional rights of Constitutional Rights of gun owners. The Holiday Travel season gets underway today. San Francisco International expects today will be the busiest day for the upcoming thanksgiving holiday with 130,000 passengers coming and going. A lot of people will be late to work or school today. B. A. R. T. Was able to fix its system wide computer glitch around 7 30 this morning. We got the first trains pulling in and out of here. Many passengers didnt know what was going on after b. A. R. T. Decided to shut down service. First b. A. R. T. Said it would be back on track by 5 00 and then 6 00. Then it wouldnt have service this morning at all. Then we got word operations would resume. What happened, comur systems in Central ControlComputer Systems were not communicating properly. And they are manually trying to route trains and that was extremely time consuming. 19 trains with 500 to 1,000 passengers on board experienced delays up to two hours long. A b. A. R. T. Spokesperson said that particular computer problems that never happened before as far as he can remember. Back out here live, if you take a look in the distance, you can see that 880 is a nightmare. Many question the official fanding that one man finding that one man, Lee Harvey Oswald, acted alone. Were live in dallas with a look at those who believe theres actually more to the story. They believe the government investigation was not really accurate. They are trying to convince people here that someone else has responsible for the assassination of president kennedy. When it comes to who shot president kennedy, there seems to be no shortage of theories. The president was murdered here. Shot from the front and the rear, at least two people shooting. Reporter after several interrogations, Dallas Police were convinced that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Within 48 hours of oswalds arrest, the actions of jack ruby changed the way people looked at oswald and the kennedy assassination as a whole. This is the last letter ruby wrote as he was taken to the hospital. In that letter he wrote my motive was to silence oswald. Reporter with oswald dead, so was any chance of further investigation leaving a lot of unanswered questions. Even the federal governments investigation headed by chief justice of the United States earl warren contains holes not easily filled, adding fuel to the fire that more than one person was involved. Eight board voted 81 to accept the tentative contract agreement but it removed the expensive provision granting six weeks of paid family medical leave. Union leaders are stunned and argue the board vote is illegal. You think its warranted to strike . I dont think so. But, you know, thats something that we have to look for down the road. Employees have been working under the terms of the old contract since it expired but with no labor i greet they could walk agreement they could walk off the job for a third time. Theres a new report that says if your kids use social media, it could be a good thing. The report says one in five teens say it makes them feel more confident. 52 of teenagers say facebook, twitter, instagram, helps them with their relationships. Not much to help the commute. Yeah.
