There is a break in the case in the murder of a well known dog walker in east oakland. Police say they have arrested two suspects in the death of judy sal la monowho was shot and killed last july on fern street. She followed the suspects who then opened fire. 22yearold stefan lee and mario floyd have been charged with several crimes including murder in the course of a robbery. Lee is already serving time at san quentin on unrelated charges and floyd has a conviction of carrying a loaded firearm. Both have been linked to an east oakland gang and scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges next week. Oakland police are trying to credit salamon for trying to stop crime in her city. Some neighbors say a shortage of Police Officers has left them no choice but to investigate crimes on their own. Opd is tremendously under staffed. There are not enough officers to go around oakland patrolling so that does mean its up to the citizens to be the eyes and ears. Some neighborhoods have set up email lists where crimes ranging from car break ins to suspicious behavior can be reported. Homeowners installed surveillance cameras and hired private security guards. A woman in San Francisco says she was pepper sprayed after fights to get her stolen bike back. Joslin says her bike was stolen last week from a muni bus rack and she was devastated. After filing a Police Report and posting a photo roll her bike on the internet she received a tip that her stolen bike was at market and 12th street and she rushed over there. The guy says to me, its a nice bike isnt it . And i said it is a nice bike, it is mine. She says she was pepper sprayed after she tried to wrestle her bikes away from one of the thieves. This morning San Leandro Police are trying to track down a man suspected of lewd behavior at an elementary school. Tara moriarty is joining us live to tell us who authorities are looking for. Tara. Reporter investigators say he was an older man and he was seen peering into a kindergarten classroom while touching himself inappropriately. This happened on wednesday afternoon around 1 30 when the guardian of a student noticed a suspicious man standing in the main School Hallway here. The witness says that he was looking through a window into a patio area next to a kindergarten class and appeared to be touching himself. When the man saw the witness looking at him, he walked off campus. The man is described as latino between 5865 years old wearing a red windbreaker with black sleeves, black pants with a thin white strap on both sides. Police havent been able to confirm if the suspect is a parent or guard on of the student at dayton. The witness told the principal about the incident and investigators were notified a day later. Police are working with instagram to identify that account. The School District believes the person lives outside the community. She was contacted by a man posing as a sergeant with the San FranciscoSheriffs Department and he told her to buy a 480 cash card for ignoring a jury summons. The search for that missing Malaysian Airlines jet could take years. That is when a u. S.
