procession. as a matter of fact as we look at the geary boulevard closure it will be closed to golf street. so the muni buses will be rerouted in the area. when the procession moves down to the holly cross cemetery it will billion effecting traffic on the pints la as well. we strangly advise -- we strongly advise you to use general transportation. all the other lines we talk about here will be effected by some of the street closures. so if you are going on muni today especially on some of these lines the 24, the 21 the ones that run right through there you can expect delays. we will stay on francisco the crews from outside the bay area coming to pay their respects. we watch as firefighters from los angeles county and long beach drove in last night. there are representatives from fire houses all over sending their own to personally bring their condolences. one firefighter from west hollywood knew lieutenant perez. he started his career back in 2001. fire station 26 was the first fire house he ever worked. >> what we have noticed driving through the streets of san francisco is that some of the people notice where we are from. and they say what are you doing here? we tell them the taxes run out june 30th. governor jerry brown wants to extend them until september. that's when he hopes governors will approve another extension through 2016. the $9.6 billion budget gap still has to be closed. california exports increase during the month of april. $12.9billion worth of goods were exported by california. that is up 14% from april of last year. it puts it close to the export levels before the recession hit. april was the 18th straight month that california exports grew. there is a new twist to build a park around a native american burial ground in vallejo. protestors have occupied the site for the past two months. now the nonprofit san francisco bay trail project has suspended a $2,000 grant and the head of vallejo's parks warns that could scale down the project. those student. santa rosa police say a distinctive duffel bag linked them to am bank robber. 23-year-old roberto hernandez was connected to a bank robbery. police say that hernandez's bag was the same day was 100 degrees there. neighbors suspect squatters may have started that fire at the abandoned tire factory. fleeing from a police car is a violent felony. that is according to a ruling by the supreme court. the court ruled yesterday that chases like this one in southern california last month can subject criminals to a mandatory 15-year prison term. the ruling stems from a law in indiana. the defendant in the case questioned whether his third crime a car chase was also a violent felony. a vigil is planned tonight for missing nursing student michelle le. it will be the second one in two be held tonight in san diego. that's where she grew up. she was last seen may 27th at kizer hospital in hayward. her white honda suv was found a day later a half mile away. the police think michelle evidence at kizer that is where they believe michelle le may have been killed. investigators are expecting forensic evidence results sometime next week. the police have identified several persons of with the tears. the mourners learned that anthony valerio's first rescue may have come as a kid when his brother got stuck in the mud. >> he tried to pull me out. i said the fire station is right there. i'm sinking and sinking. that is our first encounter with firemen. the only thing i lost was a shoe. >> tara moriarty is outside st. mary's cathedral this morning. she will update us on the final preparations for the public funeral. today's funeral will have a huge impact on traffic. we want to go over to sal castaneda who joins us with some of the planned closures. sal. >> the biggest closure will be geary boulevard. that is rather long closure. vidaro street all the way up to the hill. and there is partial closures. going down the hill it will be closed eastbound in the same area. this is a good area to avoid if you are going to today's funeral. the authorities are strongly encouraging you to use transit. one of the things you can do is to use a 38 geary which will be rerouted. those are motorized coaches so they can get around the area. some of the other muni delays are the f market and j church. a lot of bus lines including the 71, 24, and 5 and just a bunch of others. if you take muni you should check if your line will be effected. we strongly encourage you not to drive in this area. the funeral procession will make its way down tacoma and there will be delays on university. that happened right outside of a mcdonnells rest -- mcdonalds restaurant. >> you can see one of the maintenance people cleaning up the emt equipment there the disguarded paper. we went by the head quarters this morning. and called them for more information. thus far not a lot coming from them. this is the parking lot from mcdenial donees where the three victims were found. the location from this store is a block away from san jose state. two police officers on routine patrol found the men. no ages of the men. this is the second time in the past few months a violent incident has erupted at a mcdomeds next to a san jose college. you may recall in march an 18- year-old man was shot next to san jose city college. our next move here is to find out if one of these cameras over here above the door of the mcdonalds might have captured what happened here last night. at least the men were found right here. it's unclear if they were also stabbed here. the cameras could reveal says construction work to replace a sewer pipe in san bruno was the most likely cause of added stress on a gas line that exploded. 16 months before the san bruno gas pipeline explosion a new sewer line was installed on earl avenue. it crossed only ten inches between the pg&e natural gas transmission line. that was the -- the report from the independent panel reviewing the pipeline explosion saying the ground shaking from the sewer work may have well damaged the pg&e gas line. that panel criticized pg&e for not properly inspecting the pipeline during the sewer work. you can read the
