You can see a lot of action all across the west coast especially the los angeles area. But were going to really zoom in to Southern Nevada where you can see not only are we seeing rainfall, heavy rainfall just to the west of us in the valleys, but also getting some snow in the mountains. Much needed precipitation all across the area. You can see many neighborhoods very much getting covered by that rainfall. Were going take you in closer. You can see some of the stronger rain showers near decatur boulevard. You can see the storm appears to be moving northeast. Were going to actually take a look at the radar outside right now. You can see some of the strongest showers in this area right here. You see a along vegas drive, if you are planning on driving on the roadways either hold off or be very careful. Drive slowly. Here is a look at the shower activity outside right now. Looks reich we are getting stronger precipitation just to the south of us right now. You can see it right there on your screen. We are likely going to see these showers continue throughout the evening. Like i said, if you do have plans to travel maybe hold off or just be careful out there. Its not just today that were going to se rain showers. You could see another system off in the pacific bringing us not only another round of showers in the mountains but across Southern Nevada as well. So the unsettled weather will continue for the next few days. A winter storm warning remains in affect through tomorrow morning. You can see right here we have it highlighted. Two to six inches of snow possible above 5500 feet. Snow level dropping to 4500 feet. We could potentially see up to six to 12 inches above 8,000 feet. Winter weather advisory. The purple portion highlighted also remains in effect through thursday for additional snow. Three to six inches pass. Locally with even more than that take you quickly back in time. You can see foggy conditions is where we started this morning. In red rock you cant really see anything right there. Also got nice snow in the mountains. Were going continue tracking the storm activity. Were going show you some of the neighborhoods that have seen some of the most shower activity. Centennial you can see 3800ths of an inch. Temperatures upper 40s. Searchlight just under a quarter of an inch of rain. This is within the past couple of hours. So really seeing the rain coming down hard in some parts of town. Heres a look at our rainfall measure totals so far across our neighborhoods. You can see some of the strongest showers have been on the west side of town. 3900th of an inch for centennial. Rain showers at the lakes as well as summerlin, blue diamond and mountains edge. We did see light rain across the eastern part of the valley but nothing too measurable. Thats likely going change shower activity to continue. Temperatures outside in most neighborhoods in the 40s and 50s. Just outside the valley here is a look at those precipitation totals as of right now. Overnight tonight like i said its going to be a pretty wet evening. Temperatures dropping down into the low 40s overnight for the las vegas area. Light showers are expected after midnight. Likely going to see the rain showers over the next few hours. Overnight lows very similar to last night some area as little bit colder. As we take a look at high temperatures tomorrow very similar weather compared to what were seeing today. Were going to hang on to the clouds. A good chance of showers also headed our way tomorrow. Winds picking up by afternoon up southwest. As we take a look at the next seven days. Like i said, the unsettled weather is going to continue for the next few days. Drier conditions are expected by like weve been telling people during the newscast, marie, be very careful out there.
