Swastikas and the name of a nazi doctor, spray painted on a San Francisco garage door. Its an incident which could constitute a hate crime. Kron fours Spencer Blake has some of the reaction from a very alarmed woman who lives in the apartment building. The markings that were on this garage door friday have since been covered up, but it doesnt make what happened any less disconcerting. Theres no doubt these markings are antisemitic nazi swastikas and the name joe mengele, who was himself a nazi during world war two. Ive contacted the landlord twice now and left him a voicemail so im hoping that hell be in touch. The police department, who has put special victims investigators on the case, says this definitely could be considered a hate crimebut thats not a sure thing yet. Its possible, but again its too early to say. It could be someone maybe with Mental Health issues thats just spray painting. We dont know the motive yet. Thats something well definitely look into. So far, police have not found other similar cases recently or nearby.
