Navy war ship reached a crippled sail boat off the mexican coast and preparing now to rescue a sick infant. A crew from the California National guard based at Moffett Field is on the way to help. The 1yearold girl is on the boat with her parents who are planning a trip across the pacific ocean. Baby lira has an infection and a severe rash. The family is from san diego. Crews are now trying to give care to that baby to make sure she does not relapse. She is responding to the medication, she is the rash is going away and she is just becoming the happy little 1 yearold that she is. So wonderful news. The baby is expected to make a full recovery. Liras mom and dad and 3year old sister set sail from mexico the navy is also assisting in the rescue operation and deployed a uss boat to meet up with the family. A relative says the family had to abandon their crippled boat but they hope to find it and retrieve it in the future. A second day of searching is going on right now for a bay area hiker on mount tam. Thats where the 33yearold was last seen. She is from menlo park. These are photos of her from last sunday from a surveillance camera at the boot jack parking lot near the panel campground on the mountain. She told her family she was going on a day hike and then never returned. A car she had rented was left in the parking lot. In fairfield, all lanes of interstate 80 westbound near travis boulevard are back open after a multicar crash. The chp says the crash happened around 11 45 last night. The accident involved six cars. And there was another crash in Solano County that has killed one person and sent several others to the hospital. The chp says the accident happened last night around 7 30 at Pleasant Hill valley road and chester way near vacaville. Multiple people were reportedly ejected from the car. Two cars were involved in that accident. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. In oakland, police say a woman who was found dead near lake merit suffered apparent head trauma. Emergency crews found the body friday morning at sm smith park a few blocks from the lake. Officers say she was suffering from head injuries. They tried a life saving measure but the woman was unresponsive. No arrests have been made. We are now hearing from a victim of an accused precipitation drug Prescription Drug addicted Police Officer. Concord k9 officer Matthew Switzer is now on paid leave. He allegedly used his status to get into Senior Citizens homes and steal their prescription pain drugs. Kron4s alesha reid shares one victims story. Pay for what he did. Reporter the last four months were torture, as helen bowles puts it. She says officer Matthew Switzer repeatedly harassed her and took her prescription medication. Helen says the k9 officer initially approached her on the street asking if she had any narco saying it helps train his dog in sniffing out the drugs so she went upstairs and got him a bottle but when he brought it back, it was half empty. Then it got worse from there. Basically going without because he was taking them all from me High Pressure helen, who has had a list of surgeries and suffers from chronic pain says switzer offered to take her prescriptions to get them filled at the pharmacy, but would never deliver on his promises. He would come back and say, oh, my wife washed my pants and it has prescription in them or always some excuse so reporter it wasnt just helen. The contra costa District Attorney says there were at least three victims who repeatedly had to give up their meds. Finally relieved to hear of switzers arrest. You cant call the police on a police. The transamerica rock n roll Half Marathon rolling through the streets of San Francisco today. Heres a look at the route from the great highway across the Golden Gate Bridge to Civic Center Plaza. Reporter this is the rock n roll Half Marathon, there are bands along the course and they have been blasting music all morning long so these runners were fired up as they left the start line about half an hour ago. Heres the start of the race, this about 6 30 this morning here along the great highway. More than 11,000 runners are taking part today. They wind through the hills of San Francisco, they head over the Golden Gate Bridge and then back through the presidio, a very scenic route. The San Francisco rock n roll Half Marathon is one of 28 worldwide and today people here from all across the country. Oh, dear. Child dropped the chicken on the floor. No one has to know. An unauthorized street party ended in chaos. Wait until you see this video. The socalled delta taupeio gathering in vista drew luns of people in a crowd. Two people in the crowd who were injured were treated for stab wounds. Authorities say two officers were injured when a bottle and a brick were thrown at them. There were reports of widespread vandalism and more than a dozen arrests. Denver police say that they have arrested six protesters yesterday during demonstrations downtown. The group was occupy denver, and it was demonstrating to show solidarity with antipolice protests in albuquerque, new mexico, where video of a Police Shooting sparked protest last sunday. Denver tv station kusa reported police used pepper spray on some unruly protesters. By 9 00 temperatures mainly in the 40s to low 50s, by lunchtime expect quick warming so with that we will see mid 60s build along the coastline. Temperatures climbing all the way to the mid70s inland. By 3 00 today, sunny and warmer conditions. In fact, temperatures much warmer than where we should be for this time of year. You will see no activity here on satellite and radar, really everyone just dealing with a few high clouds out there but you can see High Pressure dominant over the scene so thats going to keep any wet weather out of the forecast. As for today, plenty of upper 70s, if not a few low 80s developing in the south bay. 77 today your high in san jose. We will see mid to upper 70s along the lower peninsula, 80 degrees to fairfield, 80 also for those of you in pittsburgh. Low to mid70s along the east bay shoreline and San Francisco today checking in with a high of 70 degrees. So temperatures between seven and 10 degrees warmer than where we were yesterday. Good morning, mike. How is it looking out there . Have the runners started yet . Reporter yeah, started about half an hour ago. Behind me here crews are taking down the start line. More than 11,000 runners left here, about 6 30 this morning, heres the start of the race, again, more than 11,000 people leaving the great highway just a short time ago and this is a very scenic course. It winds through San Francisco, the hills of San Francisco, and then the runners go over the Golden Gate Bridge and then back through the presidio. The San Francisco rock n roll Half Marathon is one of 28 worldwide and today we have people from all across the country and all across the world. That includes local celebrities, former San Francisco running back roger craig, he has been involved in the san jose Half Marathon and helped bring it to San Francisco. I spoke with him a short time ago before he hit the course. Great revenue for the city, you know, it brings total impact, you know, with the hotels, restaurants, you know, its really great for the city to make a lot of money and then do some really fun things for the community as well. Reporter and he might not be as fast as back in his playing days but good luck to those trying to take him on on the course this morning. We are about to head to the finish line over at Civic Center Plaza and there are a ton of road closures this morning, including two northbound lanes on the Golden Gate Bridge, so we expect much heavier traffic if youre driving through San Francisco over the next few hours. Today an australian ship carrying sophisticated deep sea sound equipment picked up a third signal in a different part of the massive search area. However, officials caution it is not a confirmed sound from a black box. The head of the multinational search being conducted off of australias west coast confirmed that a chinese ship picked up electronic pulsing signals in a small patch of the search zone. 12 planes and 13 ships will take part in sundays search which will focus on three areas totaling 83,000 square miles. At the moment, at the moment the data we have does not provide a means of verification, we have to do further investigation on the site itself and that is why all of these resources are being moved to that particular location. The batteries for the missing planes pingers are expected to last around 30 days, a deadline that falls on monday. A senior malaysian Government Official says the plane may have purposefully flown a route designated to avoid radar detection. Investigators believe the plane may have flown north of indonesia and around the countrys airspace in its journey to the southern indian ocean. We are learning more about the victims in this weeks deadly shooting rampage at fort hood. A counselor and father of two, Sergeant Timothy owens just signed up for another six years with the army. Sergeant Carlos Rodriguez enlisted as soon as he could at the age of 18. Hes described as a caring leader and the native puerto rican had a 20year career in the army. He planned to retire at the end of the year. And Sergeant First Class Danny Ferguson is being remembered as a hero using his own body as a barricade in front of a door to keep the gunman out. Like this was his life and he was so proud to be a part of such a great service. Among the 16 wounded, Sergeant Jonathan westbrook, a former bank teller and dedicated father of three from mississippi who joined the army three years ago. Westbrook was hit by three bullets in his chest and one of his arms. Two time combat veteran and new york state native major Patrick Miller is in stable condition after undergoing two surgeries. The family of the shooter, ivan lopez, released a statement following the shooting. It is from his mother and said, quote, this situation is very painful. I seek prayers for all the families affected. More so when there is an ongoing investigation. My son must not have been in his right mind. Here in San Francisco, police took close to 200 the st Buyback Program in the ingleside neighborhood. People were able to drop off guns including assault rifles, no questions asked. Police say buyback events specifically target weapons commonly used on the street and help reduce the risk of accidental shootings. The hand guns and trying to reduce those numbers and the availability of those types of firearms. Those who dropped off guns received 100 for each gun they turned in and 200 for every assault rifle. Lets talk sports with 5. 7 seconds left on the clock, kentuckys Aaron Harrison did it get, he shot the game winning threepointer to beat number 2 wisconsin 7473 in last nights ncaa mens basketball final four tournament. Harrison scored just five points before taking a pass from his twin brother and hitting a shot in the same area where he canned game winners in the wildcats previous two wins. University of kentucky fans packed out there and they were celebrating. Kentucky is looking for its Second National title in three years and its ninth in school history. They packed the streets and celebrated anyways. Some fans were trying to burn kentucky shirts and diving into thecrowd from the tops of a bus shelter and tree branches. Maybe things were getting a little out of hand. Police did detain several people whose behavior was getting out of control. And connecticut beat top ranked florida 6353 to earn a spot also in the ncaa mens Basketball Championship game. That National Game is tomorrow night and this is the highest combined seed total for a National Championship game since seeding began in 1979. I dont even want to talk about my bracket. A Mountain Lion has been spotted in San Mateo County. The sighting was reported here in hillboro on high school boulevard along on skyline boulevard along 280 and chateau drive. The sighting has the Sheriffs Office saying if you do come face to face with a Mountain Lion, stay put, face the animal, make noise and try to appear bigger. A concord family has now filed a lawsuit against a teenager accused of hitting and killing a father and daughter who were riding bikes. The accident happened two years ago at treat boulevard. The Contra Costa Times reports 19yearold david rosen and his parents are being sued for negligence and wrongful death in the death of solomon nouri and his 9yearold daughter hadessa. Authorities say rosen was driving more than 70 miles an hour at the time of the crash and was not insured. Attorneys for the nouri family say rosen has a history of reckless driving. Rosen was sentenced to seven years in confinement in 2012 but will be released when he turns 21. Uc berkley opened a clinic to give vaccinations now that a second student has come down with the measles. Health Officials Say the student was in classes the week of march before being diagnosed and put in isolation. The student also took a domestic flight out of Oakland International airport last sunday and rode b. A. R. T. U. S. Uc berkley student got the measles in february after traveling to asia. Satellite and radar shows Clear Conditions over the bay area, we just have a few high clouds streaming in so the sunshine will be with us throughout the duration of the day. Temperatures will be warmer than what we experienced yesterday. Theres going to be a 9degree jump in San Francisco, san jose 10 degrees warmer than what we experienced yesterday. This happened on saturday afternoon about half a mile from tiburon. The coast guard responded and a nearby boater was able to help them get to safety. They were all wearing life jackets and were not hurt. Golden gate bridge tolls go up tomorrow. If you commute to and from the north bay, you will be paying an extra dollar to cross into San Francisco. The fee will now be 7. If youre concerned about the rising toll, kron4s jerrya stone shows you how to save some money. Reporter theres nothing like driving over the Golden Gate Bridge, especially now. Knowing that doing so is going to cost you more money starting monday. The 6 for those who pay by plate will now cost you 7. There are ways to save. First up, fastrak, its always been cheaper and will continue to be cheaper even at its increased price of 6 to cross the bridge. Sole savings 1 total savings, 1. Go take the bus. To get to the southern more portion of marin county will cost you 7. 60 roundtrip, a bit higher than the 7 bridge fee, yes, but your total savings here comes in the form of parking and gas. If that doesnt work for you, then take to the water specifically the golden gate ferry. Use the clipper car and your rates will be cut almost in half, still, though, you will pay between 10 and 13 round trip. Again, the savings here likely comes in the form of parking and gas. Third option, carpool. The current 3 fee will go up to 4 but it is by far the cheapest option during morning and afternoon rushhour. If those options dont do it for you, a nice walk or bike ride across the golden gate, although strenuous for some, could certainly save you money. It will soon cost you more to park in walnut creek. Starting tomorrow it will cost 2 an hour to park at most meters downtown. Drivers had been paying 1 an hour. Meters will also be enforced on sundays. There is, though, in all of this good news for drivers, the first hour of parking will be free in city owned garages. More now on the gunpoint robbery in front of a popular walnut creek restaurant and bar. It is a story that we first brought to you yesterday morning. Kron4s fleece its very surprising. Reporter in the walnut creek and the Walnut Creek Police say the robbery took a matter of seconds. The woman was standing here late friday night in front of corners tavern when police say a man approached her with a handgun. The suspect demanded the victims purse and they grabbed it from her and ran. Reporter lieutenant brian hill says the man also got away with the womans iphone before jumping into a red honda civic and taking off. Hill says the victim couldnt provide a description of the driver but says she did get a good look at the man who held her up. She tells police he wore a dark scarf to cover his face and a dark hoodie. The robbery suspect is described as a black male, approximately 61, in his 20s. Reporter despite police saying this is a rare occurrence in walnut creek we havent seen a trend or series of this nature. Reporter this couple just moved here from oakland and cant believe this happened in this city. We were actually just talking earlier about how walnut creek is such a safe place. We have a 4 1 2 monthold, its kind of a scary proposition to know we moved in here because its a safer neighborhood and to think this could happen is very scary. You should no matter where you are be cautious and not take your safety for granted. Reporter police say the victim did the right thing by not struggling with the man and luckily she was not injured. In walnut creek, philippe djegal, kron4 news. A 22yearold santa rosa man has been convicted for sexually assaulting a young boy last summer. Adam santana pled no contest on friday and was convicted on two counts of forcible molestation of a child who was under the age of 14. The boy was a family friend of santanas and the two were living in the same home. Santana will be sentenced in june. Also this morning, there was a new website that lets people in San Mateo County see if sex offenders are living in their neighborhood. You can log on and find out if any offenders are near homes, offices, schools, churches and day care centers. You can get to the offender watch site by going to the San Mateo County Sheriffs Office website and clicking on sex offender search. The Sheriffs Office updates the site in real time. No march badge and uniform for a former West Sacramento Police Officer who raped at least five women. He will now be wearing a jumpsuit from prison from now on. A judge sentenced Sergio Alvarez to 205 years in prison this week. He was convicted of kidnapping and sexually assaulting women while he was on duty. Some of these attacks allegedly happened in alvarezs patrol car. Getting 200 and something years, probably never get out, which is where he belongs. Prosecutors say alvarez targeted prostitutes and drug addicts, some of whom were stopped on suspicion of being under the influence. The San Francisco rock n roll Half Marathon is going on right now in many and many streets in the bay area are closed as the race goes through San Francisco and across the Golden Gate Bridge and comes back. Employees at springs road and maple avenue say eric johnson pulled a gun, jumped over the counter and grabbed money from the register. Police say he drove off in a truck. They chased after johnson, who crashed into three parked cars and was caught while trying to run away from the accident. Two teenagers have been arrested in the brutal mob beating in detroit that we also told you about yesterday morning. Police say the teens were part of a group that savagely beat a tree trimmer after he accidentally hit a 10yearold boy with his pickup truck on wednesday. The man remains in Critical Condition in a medically induced coma. Its hard to see him lay in the bed, not knowing who Police Believe as many as 12 people may have taken part in the attack. Detroits mayor called it senseless. A prominent pastor called on the public to go block by block to find the quote heartless perpetrators. A georgia archbishop will soon say goodbye to his 2. 2 million atlanta mansion. Catholic archbishop Wilton Gregory is leaving it behind and now apologized for using donated funds to build this home. Erica kato is here with a look at our forecast. The thing about yesterday, it was warm in the sunshine but by the time you hit the shade, boy did things cool down. Today a different story as temperatures are expected to be between eight and 10 degrees warmer than what we experienced yesterday. Its a little hazy as we take a live look from mount tam right now but as for temperatures, pretty much on par with what we saw 24 hours ago. So that means upper 40s in san jose and concord, downtown San Francisco right now checking in at 52 degrees, but by the afternoon, its going to be a very warm day. Temperatures much warmer than where we should be for this time of year. Expect upper 70s, if not a few low 80s sprinkled throughout the south bay. 79 degrees in santa clara. Redwood city, palo alto in the same boat at 76 degrees. Low 80s along the delta. Check out hayward at 72, 76 degrees in castro valley. Temperatures remain in the 60s along the coast and mid70s today in oakland. In terms of your extended forecast, that seven day around the bay shows the warmup will continue on as we head into monday and tuesday. With that onshore wind will crease so allergies may be acting up, but by wednesday we are going to cool things down a bit, High Pressure remains pretty dominant over the scene so what that means is although temperatures will cool off a bit, we will keep dry weather around even as we head into next weekend. Tomorrow president obama will announce 24 schools that will share more than 100 million in grants to better prepare High School Students for college or careers. On tuesday the president will sign an executive order barring federal contractors from retaliating against employees who discuss their pay with each other. He will direct the Labor Department to require federal contractors to provide compensation data based on sex and race. Republicans say obama is pushing his executive powers too far and should do more to work with congress. In world news, chile is restoring water and power to areas affected by tuesdays 8. 2 magnitude earthquake. Six people died and thousands of others were forced to evacuate after the quake hit off of the northern coast, triggering a small tsunami. The government says it has detained more than a dozen suspects and seized hundreds of weapons in an alleged attack plot against the kiev based government. Authorities say the group was planning to carry out an attack thursday in eastern ukraine. Those detained face charges including betraying the government and weapons violations. U. S. Secretary of defense chuck hagel is in japan for talks on these threats that is now posed by north korea. Hagel met with japanese diplomats to discuss recent actions by the dprk including missile launches and live fire exercises. He told officials that the United States is planning to bring two additional Missile Defense ships to japan within three years. Thank you erica. A u. S. Navy warship has reached a crippled sail boat off the mexican coast is now preparing to rescue a sick infant. A crew from the California National guard based at moffet field is on the way to help. The one Year Old Girl is on the boat with her parents who were planning a trip across the pacific ocean. Baby lira has an infection and severe rash. The family is from san diego and now crews are trying to care for the baby abdomen make sure she doesnt relapse. She is responding to the medication. She is the rash is going away and she is just becoming the happy little one year old that she is, so wonderful news. The baby is expected to make a full recovery. Liras mom and dad and three year old sister set sail from mexico two weeks ago. The navy is also assisting in the rescue operation and deployed a boat to meet up with the family, a relative says the family had to abandon their crippled sail boat but they hoped to find it and retrieve it in the future. New this morning, Fairfield Police are invest it gating a shooting that happened last night at a party on the 2400 block of orchard avenue. A fight broke out and four people were shot. Those four who are juveniles are expected to be okay, no further details have been released if we get updates well keep you posted a second day of searching is going on for a bay area hiker on mount tam, where a 33 year old magdalenaxe glenkowski was last seen. Those are photos of her from last sunday at the surveillance camera at the boot jack parking lot here the panthole campground on the mountain. She told family she was going on a day hike and has not returned. A car sat she had rented was also left in the parking lot. We are now hearing from a victim of an accused Prescription Drug addicted Police Officer. Concord canine officer matthew swi tser is on paid leave. He allegedly used his status to get into Senior Citizens homes and steal their prescription pain drugs. Kron4 alecia reed shares one victims story. He needs to pay for what he did. The last four months were torture as helen bold puts it. She says officer matthew swi tser repeatedly harassed her and took her prescription medication. Helen says the canine officer initially approached her on the street asking if she had any narco, saying it helps train his dog in sniffing out the drug so she went upstairs and got him a bottle but when he brought it back it was half empty and then it got worse from there. I was basically going without because he was taking them all from me. Helen whose had a list of surgeries and suffers from chronic pain says he offered to take her prescriptions to get them filled at the pharmacy but would never deliver on his promises. He would come back and say oh, my wife washed the pants with the prescription in them or something. It wasnt just helen. The District Attorney says there were at least three victims who repeatedly had to give up their meds and finally relief to hear of his arrest. You cant call the police on a police. The San Francisco rock and roll Half Marathon is going on right now and many streets are closed along the race route across the city and also across the Golden Gate Bridge because the race goes there and back. The route takes runners across the bridge into marin and then back and east through presidioalong the marina waterfront and polk and larkin streets. The board of directors voted back in february to increase rates for fast track and pay by plate from six to 7 and these rates will go up again in july by about . 25. Starting tomorrow it will cost at 2 an hour to park at most meters downtown. Today an australian ship carrying sophisticated deep sea sound equipment picked up a third signal in a different part of the massive search area; however officials are cautioning it is not a confirmed sound from a black box. The head of the multinational search being conducted off of australias west coast confirmed that a chinese ship picked up electronic pulsing signals in a small patch of the search zone. 12 planes and 13 ships will take part in sundays search which will focus now on three different areas totaling 83,000 square miles. At the moment, the data we have does not provide a means of varification. We have to do further investigation on the site itself and that is why all of these resources are being moved to that particular location. The batteries for the missing planes pingers are expected to last around 30 days, a deadline that falls tomorrow. A senior malaysian Government Official says that plane may have purposely flown a route designated to avoid radar detection. Investigators believe the plane may have known north of indonesia and around the Countries Air space in its journey to the south indian ocean. Overall we are looking for temperatures between 810 degrees warmer than what we experienced yesterday so i saw a lot of folks out in Golden Gate Park yesterday. It depends on how complicated it is if you have a lot of schedules you saw property, you have investment income, its a good idea to get some help because the amount of refunds you can get could be significant. Its rolling through the streets of San Francisco as we take a quick look at the route it goes across the great highway, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and then ends up at Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco and kron4 mike pelton moved to the finish line at Civic Center Plaza and we see runners heading behind you cross the line and they are still standing. They are making their way here. It appears we are in the middle of the pack at the one hour, 55 minute mark, thousands of runners making their way to Civic Center Plaza and the winner crossed the finish line in just about an hour and 10 minutes a really fast time considering all of the hills these runners had to navigate. Its a beautiful course. Runners left at 6 30 this morning along the great highway. More than 11,000 renters are taking part and this is a beautiful route crossing over the Golden Gate Bridge and are making their way here to Civic Center Plaza. The San Francisco rock and roll Half Marathon is in its second year with more than double the number of runners as last year, one of 28 in the world and one of the more challenging courses runners all day talked about strategy. Its the hills and its the hill to get up to the bridge because theres a time limit and so ive got to push a lot harder than i normally do in the first half of the course. Is there more strategy involved in this Half Marathon . Oh, yes because i want to run on the roadway both down and back and theres a specific time limit you have to meet so ill be running a lot faster the first half than the second. Because of the race that you can see behind me there are just a ton of road closures all throughout San Francisco this morning and those last until noon. Menlow park Police Located an eight Year Old Girl who was reported missing this morning. He was found around 6 00 along willow road, police have now found the boys parents, its unclear though why that child was missing. Well keep you updated on this developing story. More now on the gunpoint robbery in front of a popular walnut creek restaurant and bar, a story we first brought to you yesterday morning. Kron4 explains how the crime has shaken people in that normally safe city. Its very surprising. And the Walnut Creek Police say the robbery took just the matter of seconds. Its a reality check. The woman was standing here late friday night in front of corners tavern when police say a mana approached her with a handgun. The suspect demanded the victims purse and grabbed it from her and ran. Lieutenant brian hill says the man also got away with the womans iphone, before jumping into a red honda civic and taking off. Hill says the victim couldnt provide a description of the driver but says she did get a good look at the man who held her up. She tells police he wore a dark dark hoodie. The robbery suspect is described as a black male approximately six foot one inches in his 20s. Despite police saying this is a rare occurrence in wall put creek we havent seen a trend or series of this nature. This couple moved here from oakland and cant believe this happened in this city. We were actually just talking earlier about how walnut creek is such a safe place. Weur and a half month old. Its a scary proposition to know we just moved in here because its a safer neighborhood and to think this could happen is very scary. You should know matter where you are be cautious and not take your safety for granted. Police say the victim did the right thing by not struggling with the man and luckily she was not injured. In walnut creek, kron4 news. We are learning more this morning about the victims in this weeks deadly shooting rampage at fort hood. A counselor and father of two sargent Timothy Owens just signed up for another six years with the army. Sargent Carlos Rodriguez in leasted as soon as he could at the age of 18. Hes described as a caring leader. The native fort o reek an had a 20 year career in the army and he planned to retire at the end of the year and sargent first class Danny Ferguson is being remembered as a hero using his own body as a barricade in front of a door to keep the gunman out. He did have the pleasure of serving like this was his life and he was so proud to be a part of such a great service. Among the 16 wounded, sargent jonathan westbrook, a former bank teller and dedicated father of three from mississippi who joined the army three years ago. Westbrook was hit by three bullets, two time combat veteran and new york state native major Patrick Miller is in stable condition today after undergoing two surgeries. And the family of the shooter ivan lopez released a statement following the shooting, this is from his mother and it says, this situation is very painful. I seek prayers for all the families affected, more nrso wh there is an ongoing investigation. My son must not have been in his right mind. Back here in San Francisco, police took close to 200 guns off the streets during a Buyback Program in the ingleside neighborhood. People were able to drop oooo guns including assault rifles no questions asked. Police say buyback events specifically target weapons commonly used on the street and help reduce the risk of accidental shootings. Really what were looking at is the handguns in street crimes and trying to reduce those numbers and availability of those types of firearms. Those who dropped off guns received 100 for each gun they turned in and then 200 for every assault rifle. Uc berkeley opened up a clinic to give out vaccinations now that a second student has come down with the meazels. Health Officials Say the student was in classes the last week of march before being diagnosed and put into t fkj is the student also took a domestic flight out of Oakland International airport last sunday and rode bart. Secretary of defense chuck hagel is in japan for talks on the threat posed by north korea. First of all, none of the lurid details and it is the grand jury a prosecutor laying out the case a formal and concise dont versus the affidavit which document versus the affidavit. American hustle coming to china town. The difference, hope, is that the senator got hit with an additional charge. Conspiracy to commit engage in the selling of services for money. Thats a big one because conspiracy is the catch all that prosecutors love to put out there. And the reason why if you dont commit the crime if you agree to commit the crime. If you take a step in furtherance you serve the same amount of time. He has 8 counts and the sentence is 145 years . 145 . Yes. If convicted. Him getting that is small but still it is daunting you think 145 years. And if you were not to if he could not make the case and took any money but if he agreed to take it. It is 20 years in the slammer. It is a big deal. His attorney said this is entrapment. Thats one of the thing things. You have to prove it. Part of that proof is that you have no predisposition to commit a crime. You look at the affidavit and you look at that complaint and you will be hard pressed to think that when, especially with regard to the the gun. And it is sort of the sex, drugs and rock and roll.
