morning clouds giving way to mostly sunny skies tomorrow. but the temperatures going to be a little bit cooler sunday. still some dry weather around the bay area. cool in 55 degrees in san jose right now. that's all that bad. 45, though, over the hill and half moon bay. 47 in livermore and dublin. also in the brentwood. now, 48 and clear in concord is 45 degrees in napa. 43 in petaluma. 44 in santa rosa, air quality has been an issue today, but a little hazy out there right now. but not as bad as forecast by the bay area. air quality management. they were looking at some poor air quality, possibly, but that just hasn't materialized. still, it's hazy out there right now around the bay area. they've issued a spare the air for tonight. that coming to a close, though, for tomorrow. that's the good news or we're going to see some better air quality around the bay area. still hazy in spots. we've got a cold front dropping through that. up the mix out the atmosphere quite a bit. temperature wise. 75 for a high in lemore today, 70 in santa rosa. 67 degrees in san francisco. 68 in oakland, 70 degrees in san jose. here's your cold front that i was talking about slowly breaking down that ridge of high pressure that brought the nice warm weather. also trapped. a lot of fluids down below that front is going to come swing into the bay area tomorrow. bring some clouds late tonight early tomorrow morning. right now remain dry. but just beginning to see a few showers move in the very northern portions of the state. but are going stay dry from that cold front as it moves on by and that sea breeze developing out there right now and on shore flow kind of kicking in up toward the coastline. but the front going to move on through. and then as it moves on by, we'll get back to more of a northerly wind kicking in. so be some mild conditions. the bay area for tomorrow, but lot of sunshine on the way. but things are changing in the long range forecast to see right here. we've got that from going through right there. tomorrow. your skies start to clear out behind that little bit of a northerly wind as we get to sunday doesn't look too bad. maybe couple clouds moving in and then you can already see the storm system lingering to the north. that is going to start to drop in as we head in toward monday. that is going to usher in some much colder air around the bay area. maybe as much as 20 greece cold around parts of the bay area. so a big change. the weather pattern coming our way. not tomorrow, though. you can watch the numbers dropping off a little bit. you've got some 50's and 60's out near the coastline inside the base. see those temperatures warming up a little bit more. but as warm as the 60's into the south bay. maybe couple low 70's. the warmer east bank deputies are investigating 2 homicide cases in bay point. the first one happened just before 9 yesterday morning on mountain view. road skews me mountain view avenue. investigators found a 62 year-old man shot inside of a home. the arrested 63 year-old donald robinson connection with the killing. then shortly before 4 in the afternoon, deputies responded to a shooting on warp drive and found a man dead on the street. investigators arrested 18 year-old emmanuel more rallies. and 38 year-old rallies in connection to the case. doctors are urging people to be extra careful this holiday weekend as hospitals across the country continue to be overwhelmed with rsv the respiratory viruses cause states like oregon to declare a state of emergency. >> our kron four's rob nesbitt spoke with doctors in the bay area about what hospitals here are saying. things are getting worse at children's hospitals with icu beds filling up combine that with an increase of flu and covid cases and the adult icus are also near capacity for weeks. parents have heard the warnings about rsv cases sweeping the nation. infectious disease expert at ucsf doctor peter chin-hong says things are also worsening here. the pediatric icu at betty off children's hospital in san francisco is now at 97% occupancy every right to the tent for overflow and the pediatric hospital. so many. >> for many pediatricians, this is that in march of 2020, mainly because there is a lot of capacity in the pediatric hospitals in general. the doctor says a rise in flu and covid cases are also filling up the adult icu, which sits at a 95% occupancy rate. he described what patients with the most serious cases of rsv undergo. most kids is just really removing secretions, giving rest very support, maybe a breathing tube for the most serious and rehydration at stanford university's packard children's hospital. there seems to be fewer cases keeping up. i think it packard betts remain at a premium. doctor david cornfield says there seems to be more children struggling with rsv now because of the pandemic. those 3 years and younger getting the respiratory virus for the first time that 3 years of isolation. so many of the kids that would have ordinarily been infected with rsv. >> did not see the infection. we also know that kids infected with rsv tend to be more severely affected with their first infection. he says the vast majority of children get through their symptoms without needing to go to the hospital. both health experts recommend parents to social distance during the holidays, mask up and take advantage of vaccines. get your flu shot and your covid shot because we're not really sure what all that interaction of the viruses might be like, though there isn't much for treatment and no approved vaccine for rsv. right now, doctor chin-hong says a vaccine is in development by pfizer and he expects it will be available by next year. reporting the newsroom. i'm rob never to murder. anyone believe it or not. i was actually one of the most loving people in the world. if you would get to know me. those are the words of the gunman accused of killing 6 of his co-workers at turning the gun on himself. i was harassed by idiots with low intelligence and a lack of wisdom. he wrote the chilling words written by the 31 year-old are helping to paint picture of
