Maurice hastings narrowly escaped the Death Penalty after being convicted in 1983 of rape and murder of a woman in inglewood. The dna evidence has proven what hastings has been claiming for nearly 4 decades. He didnt do it. Pedro rivera has more on his long road to justice. Prayed a lot many years. That this day will come to pass. Maurice hasting said in a prison cell for more than 12,000 days. 38 years maintaining his innocence. And on october, 20th 2022, he was finally free. Hastings was convicted for the 1983 murder and rape of water. Meyer in englewood in 1988, hastings was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole system fail. Mister hastings.
