San jose police are investigating a deadly collision between a car and a pedestrian. It happened early this morning. And as kron 4s alecia reid reports, the traffic Investigation Unit says the victim was in a wheelchair. Sot i saw a tarp covering a mound over there by that speed limit sign the victim was in a wheelchair, crossing aborn near white road, when police say he was struck by a vehicle heading east on aborn. Emergency services rushed to the scene and pronounced him dead a short time later. Sot they cornered off everything so no one could get in the location of the victims body indicates that he was not in the crosswalk when he was hit. Sot it wasnt anywhere close to this intersection, so i dont know if thats where they crossed, or if they got dragged or Something Like that down the block from the accident is a residential area. Nearby, are gas stations and shopping centers. The fatal collision happened around 6 sunday morning when most of the shops were closed. Police tell us the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities say niether drugs or alcohol appear to be a factor in the collision. Tonight, kron fours Philippe Djegal reports from Sonoma County that the attacker is still atlarge. The alleged attacker was captured on the Graton Casino and resorts surveillance cameras, while walking through the parking lot. But the Sonoma CountySheriffs Office says its tough to make out the mans face. What is usally billed as a great time at the casino was anything but for the woman allegedly beaten with a metal wrench. The Sheriffs Office says the attack happened in the south parking lot early sunday. A woman was sleeping in her car just before 330 in the morning while her boyfriend was still inside the casino. Investigators say a man jumped into her car and hit her on the arm and head with a metal wrench, then ran off when securty responded after hearing the womans screams. Well, i had my phone and my purse stolen out there one night, so i am not surprised. The victim was treated at a local hospital for her injuries. But she is expected to survive. In Walnut Creek Police are looking for three people who robbed a couple early this morning. At around 4 15 a man and woman were on the twentyfive hundred block of walnut boulevard when three suspects approached them. According to the victim, the suspects asked for their phones and wallets. When the man said he thought he heard a gun cock. The man handed over their property to the suspects. Police believe they could be involved in several other violent crimes. Neighbors are on high alert.
