some of these questions this morning. here is video from our helicopter partnership with abc seven news a 70 fled to look catamaran artemis capsized yesterday at around one afternoon. the team was practicing out in the bay and the catamaran capsized sending a crew into the water. the crew managed to rescue all the team except for answers and send a list up under the boat for 10 minutes. officials performed cpr and brought him to the shores of the st. francis yacht club but were unable to revive him. conditions on the bay were very windy but not extreme with anwinds between 15 and 20 knots. they're trying to determine exactly what caused the catamaran to capsize. all secondary behind the tragic death of mr. sims and is the damage to the boat. america's cup the officials will be at >> a day on the bay third bed lit deadly during america's cup practice session. we led the latest on this tragedy been including what race officials are saying. >> the man who held three women captive for more than a decade sits behind bars. we hear from his daughter and a look at what life was like for the three women inside ariel castro's home. >> let's talk first about the slow problems on the peninsula due to earlier occurring accidents on the bayshore freeway. the first crash at ralston is long gone but the second crash at popular has left traffic slowed from sfo headed south toward 92 interchange. some slow traffic continuing pass to hillsdale. updating the fatal incident this morning that occurred near be broadway station which is in berlin game, a pedestrian was struck there. that was the problem was service this morning. for a while they were stopping all trains there and turning them back in all directions. now there is single tracking through out the area that means a major delays of 30 to 60 minutes, perhaps longer if you can find an alternate route this morning you could save yourself some time, this destruction will most likely be with us for the rest of the morning. >> a similar start to the day compared to yesterday, a rise in cloud cover and results. we are however starting to see some breaks of sunshine and our inland areas. we're seeing widespread '50s out there, low 50s in san francisco mid '50s and hayward. we are expecting warmer temperatures today compared to yesterday. there will be a bigger one up into the weekend which i will talk about in my full forecast. >> onto breaking news this morning, texas law enforcement announcing just a little bit ago they are launching a criminal investigation into the texas explosion. this is video of the aftermath from that explosion which happened back on april 17th, 14 people were killed. more than 200 others were injured and among the dead are firefighters and first responders. we're also learning from the mcclellan county sheriff that according to him the citizens must have confidence that this incident has been looked at from every angle and professionally handled. they deserve nothing less. we'll have more on this story throughout the day. >> we are expected to hear from officials about yesterday's deadly accident on the bay. team artemis capsized yesterday and killed 18 members. >> behind the rocks, behind the fence these are the remains of the racer catamaran after it capsized. we're open to get more information on this incident and what it means for the america's cup in a press conference with officials said 4:00 this morning. let's get video from our helicopter partnership with abc seven news, the 70 ft2 foot catamaran that are to mess with out in the bay and capsized at throwing the 11 man crew into the water. all members of the team except for a sailor and drew some senate was rescued. he was stuck under the boat for 10 minutes. officials performed cpr and brought him to the shore but were unable to save his life. conditions out of the bay were very windy but not extreme. winds were between 15 and 20 knots. the sampras's go police department is now working to determine what caused that boat to capsize. again, 11:00 this morning the america's cup officials will be holding a press conference and talking about this incident. the america's cup begins just two months from now and there'll be lots of questions about safety. >> our team coverage continues now with will tran who is live at the alameda headquarters of artemis this morning with more on the sailor who died. >> a very tough day for people in new andrew since then. you can see two of them on a catamaran. there are about 100 team members to make this work and some of them are showing up this morning with long faces. they did not want to go on camera but one person told me we are a family. week if we need to be here to honor him, we will be here. a lot of them showed up and then left. we are waiting to find out what happens as far as the accident. the conference begins at 11:00. they are not even worried about that. they are thinking about andrew simpson and trying to do their best to move on. we get a chance to talk to this neighbor of this huge awards industrial area. she works right across the way as is normally this place is so busy with activity from people from the racing team. they're not busy this morning. people are just doing the best they can to move on. we had a chance to talk to the business neighbor and here's what she had to say. >> it takes so many challenge of the san francisco bay as far as the topic conditions. he could've gone anywhere else in the world to practice and to perform the race itself but they said they really like the severance man charged with kidnapping and raping three women for a decade. we have just learned that this morning that the from the attorney general and ohio that ariel castro is the father of the six year-old girl held captive with those women. cast resin place under suicide watch. he is being held on $8 million bail charged with the kidnapping and rape of amanda berry, gina dejesus and michelle knight who told authorities that castro ended at least five of her pregnancies by starting are and repeatedly punching her in the stomach. castro's daughter says was never saw any of this going on, things are starting to make sense. >> all these things that i started to notice or the years like how he kept his house lock down tight, some of the areas. how, if we would be out at my grandma's having dinner he would disappear for an hour or so and then come back. there'd be no explanation as to where he went. everything is making sense now, it is all adding up. i am disgusted and horrified. >> here is a front door. 20 mi. north east of kansas city. as you can see, it is a rural community with a lot of wide open space. law-enforcement officials are fanned out over eight large area looking for these three escaped inmates. we have an idea of where the body of boston bombing suspect tamerlan tsarnaev is buried. according to the boston globe, o he is entombed in a muslim cemetery and boswell, a small community in central virginia about 15 mi. from the state capital of richmond. the paper reports that a virginia woman coordinated with the islamic society of greater richmond to find a burial plot in be al-barzakh cemetery. his body was secretly transported there last wednesday night. the unidentified woman said she saw news reports about the grant process in boston over what to do with southbound the first at ralston the second at popular. we're still backed up to s f o and adding 15 minutes to the drive time on 1 01 southbound to 80. the bay bridge has no backup or delayed, and easily right here. for the san mateo bridge commute, early occuring problems not completely clear and the drive times are back down to 13 minutes westbound, 11 minutes eastbound. the golden gate bridge ride has been problem free all morning. there's a little more traffic and other days of the week in the northbound direction. >> we see it is certainly a cloudy start bay area wide. we are expecting warmer temperatures into the afternoon and also dealing with coastal drizzle this afternoon. we have another warm-up as or frost this weekend but it looks like temperatures will peak on sunday. it will gradually cool as we head into the work week. there are delays of about 74 minutes due to low visibility at s f o. as for temperatures, it is slowly trying to warm up 60 fairfield, upper 60s concord, mid-60s and south bay. by noon, we will see 60s id the bay shore as well as along the coast. plataea '70s and the warmer areas. but in the clock into motion, by 3:00 we'll have '80s back on the board. it is certainly a mixed bag of temperatures this afternoon. for those of you head out this evening, temperatures will drop down mainly to the '60s and we will see some left over '70s. after no highs, mid-70s for mountain view, cupertino 80. low 80s there pittsburg come antioch and mid-70s for vallejo and walnut creek. mainly upper 60s for the east bay stores, downtown san francisco coming in at a low 60s. into the north bay, we're looking at '70s and 80 degrees expected for napa. 7 day around the bay showing as a really warm temperatures, out of the war effort mother's live on the kron4 to give us details. >> the corners have not yet removed the body and this is here at oak grove ave. there are a lot of authorities here on the scene. according to a spokesperson an adult female woman was hit at the morel crossing a couple of blocks from here. there really speaks to how difficult it is for these trains to stop. the coroner will be here shortly to remove the body and then they will clean the track. there'll be some time before they have these tracks fully cleared. as for delays, they could range between a 45 minute to one hour mark depending on where you're going. at this point they only have one track all been and is is of course the heart of the morning commute. delays are extensive and they can only go in one direction at a time. the spokesperson says as a general rule, at this point you have better luck heading northbound and southbound. a lot of people are going to be stuck because hopefully everything should be back to normal this evening. >> they did tell us they'd expected delays for the rest of the morning. the evening commute may be ok. another hot spot 1 01 southbound is finally starting to clear up leading south from millbrae. it was jammed all the way down to hillsdale and into san carlos. we have two separate accidents southbound on 1 01 and both of them are now clear. the weekend is coming and here is done with an update of the happened. >> in the news from falling into story for a this morning to people and san jose were hurt when the vehicle crashed into the santa clara valley medical center. this happened just before 4:00 this morning. no word on the causes yet but the driver of the vehicle and one employee of the hospital were injured. but retreated at the hospital emergency room. according to first as binders, the injured driver was able to walk over to the emergency room but the injured hospital employee had been taken there by ambulance. >> and vacaville, two teachers have been arrested within hours of each other. this is a mug shot of rodney orosco. he is a 47 year-old english teacher at vacaville high school. he is suspected of committing lewd acts with an underage females student. police say text messages between orosco and the student were found and he is also accused of kissing the student on three different occasions. his second teacher was arrested on campus wednesday. this time, a middle school teacher who was found with weapons and drugs inside his car. lee said it found a loaded handgun, cocaine, marijuana, and ammunition inside a parked car at 53 year-old bobby chambers. he has to accommodate southbound trains. they switch over to the southbound track, that is what single tracking means. normally these separate tracking spread north and southbound trains but now they have to closures near the golden gate bridge will bring big changes. it is all part of the on going until the drive construction project. the stretch apart presidio headed into the macarthur tunnel and on to the golden gate bridge will be shut down after midnight for three weeks. crews are working nearly around the clock to get this case completed. in addition to creating a safer passage way, the project
